The purpose of this study is to examine the perception of college students about English classes using TED talks and to examine whether TED talks are appropriate as a learning material for college English. As a college English subject, 50-60 minutes of online classes were conducted for one semester where TED talks were used, and the data collected by conducting a survey on learners' English learning motivation, interest, attitude, satisfaction, and learning effect were analyzed utilized SMART PLS 3. The results are as follows. First, English learning motivation had a statistically significant effect on learning attitude while it did not affect the learning satisfaction. Second, the level of interest in the TED Talk-using class had a positive effect on the learning attitude and satisfaction. Third, the learning attitude positively affected the learning effect perception. Fourth, satisfaction with the TED Talk class had a positive effect on the learning effect perception. In conclusion, English classes using TED talk can increase the interest and satisfaction of learners, and induce active class participation, which lead to a positive perception in learners' learning effects. Therefore, this study implies that TED talks are valuable and significant enough as materials in college English classes.
This study is a case study on investigating students' learning behavior in the online English reading class of an on-off course. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on a total of 77 students from an English listening and reading course and phone interview with 5 students was implemented. The findings revealed that regularity of learning interval and learning sequence need to be improved through student management in order to increase the effect of online learning. In case of lecture watching, the students are good at utilizing the strengths of taped lecture, such as using pause and repeating watching. However, more research need to be done on how to develop online lecture to enhance students' understanding of the lecture. Regarding the offline review quiz that is supposed to stimulate students into their more positive watching of the lecture, it is suggested that a few of its related elements such as the online learning period and the number of quiz questions be corrected for its better effect.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship among the usefulness, ease of use, use intention, and learning utilization of smart learning devices recognized by college students. In order to achieve this, the following problems were addressed: first, how do college students' recognition of ease and usefulness of smart learning devices? second, how do college students' recognition of ease and learning utilization? third, what mediating effects od use of smart learning devices and learning utilization? As for the research method, a survey of 350 students who participated in smart learning was conducted to conduct a home review, confirmatory factor analysis, and bootsrapping for structural equation estimation and mediating analysis. As a result of the analysis on this, first, it was found that the usefulness and ease of smart learning devices recognized by college students had an effect on the intention of use. Second, it was found that the perception of the usefulness and ease of smart devices perceived by college students had an effect on the use of smart learning device learning. Third, it was found that the intention to use smart devices perceived by college students mediated the relationship between usefulness and learning utilization, and it was found that it mediated the relationship between ease and learning utilization. The implications are that instructors can recognize and utilize the intention of using smart learning devices properly by allowing college students to recognize the usefulness and ease of using smart learning devices in the classroom, thereby increasing the learning utilization of smart learning devices in class. In addition, efforts are needed to enable college students to recognize the usefulness of smart devices and to expand the use of learning.

This study investigated the recognition of teachers on the introduction and use of SMART education, which is an ICT-based customized learning method. Through the investigation, the study was to empirically examine the relationship between the use intention of SMART education and its influential factors, and analyze the difference in the use intention of SMART education by teachers, focusing on the experience of SMART education. For analysis purpose, a structural equation model, which was expanded from the theory of reasoned action, was presented. In addition, the difference in path coefficient, which affects the use intention of SMART education, was compared based on the experience with or without SMART education. The results showed that teacher efficacy in the teacher group without SMART education experience was more negatively significant in class burden. In the teacher group with SMART education experience, it was found that the attitude toward SMART education was more significant in use intention; organizational citizenship behavior was more significant in use intention; teacher efficacy was more significant in the attitude toward SMART education and; teacher efficacy was more significant in organizational citizenship behavior. No significant difference was found in the path coefficient among the groups in other hypotheses. Through these results, the factors for introducing and promoting SMART education and its invigoration measures were presented.

Heavy hydrocarbon reforming is a core technology for "Dirty energy smart". Heavy hydrocarbons are components of fossil fuels, biomass, coke oven gas and etc. Heavy hydrocarbon reforming converts the fuels into $H_2$-rich syngas. And then $H_2$-rich syngas is used for the production of electricity, synthetic fuels and petrochemicals. Energy can be used efficiently and obtained from various sources by using $H_2$-rich syngas from heavy hydrocarbon reforming. Especially, the key point of "Dirty energy smart" is using "dirty fuel" which is wasted in an inefficient way. New energy conversion laboratory of KAIST has been researched diesel reforming for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) as a part of "Dirty energy smart". Diesel is heavy hydrocarbon fuels which has higher carbon number than natural gas, kerosene and gasoline. Diesel reforming has difficulties due to the evaporation of fuels and coke formation. Nevertheless, diesel reforming technology is directly applied to "Dirty fuel" because diesel has the similar chemical properties with "Dirty fuel". On the other hand, SOFC has advantages on high efficiency and wasted heat recovery. Nippon oil Co. of Japan recently commercializes 700We class SOFC system using city gas. Considering the market situation, the development of diesel reformer has a great ripple effect. SOFC system can be applied to auxiliary power unit and distributed power generation. In addition, "Dirty energy smart" can be realized by applying diesel reforming technology to "Dirty fuel". As well as material developments, multidirectional approaches are required to reform heavy hydrocarbon fuels and use $H_2$-rich gas in SOFC. Gd doped ceria (CGO, $Ce_{1-x}Gd_xO_{2-y}$) has been researched for not only electrolyte materials but also catalysts supports. In addition, catalysts infiltrated electrode over porous $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}Ga_{0.8}Mg_{0.2}O_3-{\delta}$ and catalyst deposition at three phase boundary are being investigated to improve the performance of SOFC. On the other hand, nozzle for diesel atomization and post-reforming for light-hydrocarbons removal are examples of solving material problems in multidirectional approaches. Likewise, multidirectional approaches are necessary to realize "Dirty energy smart" like reforming "Dirty fuel" for SOFC.

Superconductor flywheel energy storage system (SFESs) is an electro-mechanical battery with high energy storage density, long life, and good environmental affinity. SFESs have been developed for application to a regenerative power of train, the storage of distributed power sources such as solar and wind power, and a power quality improvement. As superconductor bearing is completely passive, it is not necessary to control a system elaborately but accurate analysis in mechanical properties of the HTS bearing is very important for application to SFESs. Stiffness and damping properties are the main index for evaluation the capacity of HTS bearings and make it possible to adjust rotordynamic properties while operating the rotor-bearing system. The superconductor bearing consists of a stator containing single grain YBCO bulks, a ring-type permanent magnet rotor with a strong magnetic field that can reach the bulk surface, and a bearing support for assembly to SFESs frame. In this study, we investigated the stiffness and damping properties of superconductor bearings in 35 kWh SFESs. Finally, we found that 35 kWh superconductor bearing has uniform stiffness properties depend on the various orientations of rotor vibration. We discovered total damping coefficient of superconductor bearing is affected by not only magnetic damping in superconductor bulk but also external damping in bearing support. From the results, it is confirmed that the conducted evaluation can considerably improve energy storage efficiency of the SFESs, and these results can be used for the optimal capacity of superconductor bearings of the SFESs.
Contemporary University students are considered the Z generation who were born after 1995. They are more tech savvy than millennials. To target the generation, traditional class management platforms have evolved to smart LMS that is more customized and accessible for smart devices. Global level information search and collaboration can also be implemented using such smart LMS. However, switching from one LMS to another LMS requires great effort from teachers and support from staffs. This study measured the learners' perception of the system when they were exposed to a new smart-LMS. Blackboard Learn Ultra was used for 15 weeks and at the end of the semester, a questionnaire was administered to the students of these classes. Results indicated that experience with previous LMS discouraged students from adopting Blackboard Learn. Result of TAM modeling indicated that perceived usefulness, compared to perceived ease of use and attitude, was an effective aspect to bring positive acceptance of the system. A qualitative approach and network analysis were also conducted based on students' responses. Both positive and negative responses were detected. Inconvenience due to mechanical aspects was mentioned. Dissatisfaction compared to previous local LMS use was also mentioned. Mobile application and communication effectiveness were positive aspects. Revised course development and promoting how useful the system may help enhance the acceptance of the new system.

This paper focuses on the usability of smart healthcare based on the development of Information and Communication Technology(ICT), briefly introduces concepts and the current status related to smart healthcare, and discusses strategies and future tasks in the field of mental health welfare in the COVID-19 era. This paper first introduces the smart healthcare programs of the National Mental Health Center and the Seoul Mental Health Welfare Center. Second, we introduce various smart healthcare programs used in Germany, China, the U.S., and Australia, review the actual examples, and examine both public and private responsiveness. Finally, we examine the possibility of using smart healthcare in the mental health social work system in South Korea and examine future tasks and implications. This paper would contribute to the growth of world-class mental health social work services.

This study aims to investigate the degree of influence of LMS on online classes conducted after COVID-19 at C University in Gyeongsangnam-do, and to examine the relationship between overall class satisfaction and LMS satisfaction variables. C University started the project to construct 'Next-generation Smart LMS' and operated it from the first semester of 2021. As a result of conducting a survey about overall class satisfaction and LMS satisfaction consisting of five variables with 140 learners who have experienced online classes at C University. The learners showed high satisfaction not only in overall classes but also LMS. As a result of regression analysis of LMS satisfaction and overall class satisfaction, it was found that the functional convenience of LMS and interaction with instructors had a significant effect on overall class satisfaction. This study has limitations in that it was conducted only at one college and a limited number of variables were measured.
The purpose of this study is a method to discover problems and improve them by analyzing the status of software education of A primary school conducted by online class. The coronavirus infection-19(COVID-19) pandemic, which began in early 2020, has continued to delay the start of the new semester. Finally, on April 9, 2020, the first semester began with online class. While progressing non-face to face online class, most students said they had difficulties. Students solved difficulties in class with Internet searches or program hints, not teachers. In the post-class self-evaluation, most students answered that there was no increase in coding skills. To solve this problem, the school rents additional smart devices to student. schools should have real-time interactive classes. After covid 19, online class became a paradigm for classes. Therefore, software education will also require research and development of curriculum and teaching learning methods suitable for online classes.
