The objectives of this study are to analysis structural characteristics of small scale vinyl house and to develope structural analysis program for optimum design. The variation of maximum section forces along the structural characteristics, location and number of purlin was analyzed in vinyl house. It was concluded that the developed structural analysis program could be used usefully for optimum design of small scale vinyl house.

The purpose of this study was to disclose the problems of structural safety of small scale vinyl house through investigation of actural state of plastic greenhouses by region and growing crops and the objective of a field survey is to develop safety structural model of small scale vinyl house which accounts for the most part of local horticultural facility in order to reduce damage caused by strong wind and heavy snow repeatedly every year.

The conclusion is derived from the arranged results and using a simulation by determining the shape of an optimum heat pump which is appropriate for small scale houses. It is concluded as 3 meters long for the laying depth of underground piping of the horizontal type geothermal heat pump system in regard to the 5 RT capacity standard that is suitable for a small scale house. The shape of the horizontal type geothermal heat pump system for a small scale house is theThree pipe shape whose trench length is short and pipe length laid in a trench is short. It is 9 for the number of laying pipes that is most appropriate to system.

According to the increase in number of persons who have physical impediments in this country, the importance on the convenient facility for physically disabled persons is gradually being extended as well. This thesis is focused on the small scale interior design plan for the disabled persons in diminutive symptoms among several kinds of congenital or postnatal impediments. Just like the other disabled persons, the public convenient facility or special space is not required, but I have reviewed the matters to have to be improved and the present residing shape of the disabled persons under the diminutive symptoms in order to provide the interior design available for the joint uses together by and between non-handicapped and handicapped persons as such undersized persons have recently been differentiated together with handicapped persons within the small scale house space.

The objectives of this study are to develope the automatic design programs to offer the data when constructing a small scale vinyl-house by region. This program consists of four subroutines. The first is an automatic greenhouse modeling program, the second is a calculating design load program by region, the third is a structural analysis program and the last is a optimum shape design program. The structural analysis can be conducted by simple date input and considering the design load of the install regions into account. The shape of input data is very simple, and the program reflects the design load by region. The output data can be obtained from the automatical calculation processing after structural analysis. The program was verified by compared with outputs of a common use structural analysis program and the results are the same. It was concluded that the developed program could be used efficiently in optimum design of small scale vinyl house.

This study is a basic investigation of the contents and services relevant to the domestic vacation house business. In which, the trade scale, types of housing, and environmental conditions of various property locations were analyzed. The characteristics of properties listed on the Japanese website that conducts the greatest volume of vacation house trade in Japan were examined, and the following results were obtained: Villa areas, villas, and resort condos (resort mansions) are the three basic types of properties handled in the vacation house trade. In this market, sales per unit in villa areas and per spaces in resort condos accounted for the highest volume of trade, followed by that of villas (individual houses). In terms of land area, floor area, and sales price per house type, the relatively cheaper small and medium-sized vacation houses are more frequently traded, than expensive large-scale villas. In particular, small multi-family type villas (such as in resort condos) are the most popular. Land and floor area, and sales prices all show considerable variation depending on the type of property considered. Therefore, a business initiative to provide a more detailed classification of properties is required. In terms of the environment of vacation properties, most are located on coasts, plateaus, or inland mountains, and are generally within three-hours' traveling distance of large cities.

The purpose of this study was to measure the indoor air quality of small-scale apartments and then proposed a method to improve the indoor air quality of the small-scale apartments by comparing with the result of indoor air quality in the Clean-Healthy House. In case of formaldehyde, a highly volatile organic compound, the concentrations of indoor measured both in small-scale apartments and the Clean Healthy houses did not exceed- the guideline of Korea. The guideline of Korea for acetaldehyde was not available, so the guidelines of Japan and the World Health Organization were used to measure the concentration of acetaldehyde. The study results demonstrated that three out of seven small-scale apartments investigated exceeded the guideline of Japan; and the preliminary research on the Clean-Health Houses was low at about 30-60% of the guideline of Japan. The result of the VOCs measurement showed that toluene, ethylbenzene, and styrene in some small-scale apartments exceeded the guideline of Korea. However, the Clean-Healthy Houses in the previous studies did not exceed the guideline of Korea with regard to all the pollutants. Therefore, this study suggests the application of the construction standards of the Clean-Healthy house in order to improve the indoor air quality of small-scale apartments. In addition, the current study anticipates that improvement of the indoor air quality in the residential environments should be universally applied, not limited to the type and size of the residence.

Recently, the importance of the living environment for elderly people and its network is increasing. At the same time, the small-scale and multi-functional apartment house in which they can live is continuously required in Japan. For these reasons, it is appearing a new type of housing, Group-Living, where one lives together with others. It represents a way of communal living which is based on service at home. There are various problems such as felicity of each space, connections between the different areas, insufficiency of positioning on the aged welfare. Hence this research targets are grasp the present condition of Group-Living, to inquire the Space composition and types of it in Tokyo Area, and to suggest the direction of improvement of the small-scale and multi-functional apartment house for the aged.

The physical factor having a great influence among components of making values of profit model in apartment houses is equilibrium change of house and this study suggests an alternative of remodelling. It sets profit models including model dividing household of large scale into that of small scale using value making factor of apartment house and spatial composition techniques and model integrating households of small scale and converting them into those of large scale and finds that its economy is good as over 'average', evaluative value of economy is reduced as discount rate increases and economy of remodelling is superior.

The objective of this research is not only making the planning guides regarding a small-scale residential remodeling but also examining closely the social roles of the interior design for the poor and the underprivileged class by analyzing the residential remodeling cases. The scope of research includes 40 remodeling houses free of charge which are broadcasted in the TV program 'Love House'. Taking in consideration the characteristics of users like parentless or single-parent families and families with disabled persons, this study uses the spatial approach, user's convenience approach and psychological problem solving approach, in terms of the methodology. In result of the analysis of their interior design, first of all, it is essential solving the problem of limited house space by comparison with the family number. Second, the universal design concept for the family with disabled persons(72.5%), old persons or children is strengthened guaranteeing privacy in small and old interior space. Third, the interior design is focused in increasing communication among family members, because mental and physical obstacle would obstruct accessibility among them. This research shows the importance of the interior design which makes wide social roles contributing to create "welfare society".
