다중블럭을 실행하는 멀티코어 비순차 수퍼스칼라 프로세서의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Multicore Out-of-Order Superscalar Processor with Multiple Basic Block Execution)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중블럭 실행을 이용하는 멀티코어 비순차 수퍼스칼라 프로세서 아키텍쳐의 성능을 분석하였다. 이것을 위하여 SPEC 2000 벤치마크를 입력으로 하며, 윈도우 크기가 32와 64이고 1개에서 4개의 다중블럭을 실행하는 멀티코어 비순차 수퍼스칼라 프로세서에 대하여 1 코어에서 16 코어까지 광범위한 모의실험을 수행하였다. 모의실험 결과, 4개의 다중블럭을 실행하는 멀티코어 비순차 수퍼스칼라 프로세서는 같은 사양에서 단일 블럭을 실행할 때보다 평균 22.0%의 성능 향상을 가져왔다.

국내 시판 일회용 올인원 방역 보호복의 사이즈 분석 (Size Analysis on Disposable Protective Coveralls)

  • Disposable protective coveralls that cover the entire face and body are essential for operations in contaminative or dangerous environments. This research studied disposable protective coveralls on Korean market in order to improve the products that agricultural workers wear. We investigated the size specifications of 22 disposable protective coverall products sold in Korean markets and analyzed how well the size specifications cover Koreans' sizes by comparing and analyzing the size specifications with Korean body measurements and Korean standards for protective clothing. We analyzed the consistency, regularity, and fitness to body measurements of Koreans for each size by measuring the sizes of 15 different parts for 22 products each. Current disposable protective coverall products for the Korean market are unsuitable for Korean body measurements, especially women's. It was expected that wearers would be unable to choose products that fit their bodies well just by the offered size specifications due to a lack of regularity between the measurements for each size. In this result, it was assumed that the development of KS standards and the coverall pattern that reflect the body measurements of Koreans are needed.

중년 여성이 선호하는 브랜드 레깅스 치수체계 분석 (Analysis of the Sizing System of Branded Leggings Preferred by Middle-aged Women)

  • This is a basic study to recommend a legging sizing system suitable for middle-aged women. This study aims to explore and analyze the sizing system of branded leggings for middle-aged women. Therefore, 40 pairs of leggings from 20 brands preferred by middle-aged women were first selected to compare their sizing systems. Thus, it was found that the size distribution of legging brands varied significantly, and the number of sizes or the size deviation also varied depending on the brands or products. Second, the adult female age groups were classified as 18-24 years, 25-34 years, 35-44 years, and 45-59 years. Additionally, the distribution of the waist and hip circumferences by age group was compared with the size specifications of the leggings. Leggings with large differences between size specifications and body size distribution were identified in each age group. In the case of women aged 45 to 59, the size distribution suitability of branded leggings was found to be the lowest among the four age groups. Furthermore, it was also found that it is important to reflect the body size distribution, especially the waist circumference, to establish a legging sizing system suitable for women aged 45 to 59 years.

고성능 데이터 캐시 메모리 구조 (High Performance Data Cache Memory Architecture)

  • 공간적 지역성(spatial locality) 및 시간적 지역성(temporal locality)을 동시에 향상시킬 수 있는 새로운 고성능 데이터 캐시 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 캐시 메모리는 하드웨어 프리패치 유닛과 큰 블록 크기를 갖는 직접사상(DM: direct mapped) 캐시와 작은 블록 크기를 갖는 완전 사상(FA: fully associative) 캐시의 하위 캐시 유닛으로 구성된다. 공간적 지역성은 블록 데이터를 패치하여 직접 사상 캐시에 저장함으로써 보장되며, DM 캐시 히트가 발생한 경우에 그 이웃 데이터 블록을 프리패치 함으로써 최적화 된다. 시간적 지역성은 작은 블록 데이터가 DM 캐시로부터 제거 될때 그 블록의 과거 기록에 따라서 중요한 데이터는 완전사상 캐시에 저장함으로써 보장된다. Spec2000 벤치 마크 프로그램에 대한 실험 결과에 의하면 제안된 캐시 구조는 비슷한 크기의 직접사상 캐쉬, 4웨이 연관사상(4 way set associative cache) 및 SMI(selective-mode intelligent cache) 캐쉬 [8]등의 기존의 구조에 비해서 미스 비율(miss rate)을 평균적으로 $12.53\sim23.62%$ 그리고 AMAT(average memory access time)를 평균적으로 $14.67\sim18.60%$ 줄일 수 있음을 증명하였다.

  • 최근에 이르러 디지털 시스템의 성능을 극대화하기 위하여, 멀티코어 프로세서가 상용화 되어 널리 이용되고 있다. 이러한 멀티코어 프로세서를 구성하는 단위 코어의 성능을 높이면, 적은 개수의 코어를 가지고 시스템의 성능을 크게 향상시킬 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 순차실행 방식의 수퍼스칼라를 단위 코어로 하는 멀티코어 프로세서 아키텍쳐를 제안하였다. 그리고, 윈도우 크기가 4에서 16이고 2-코어에서 16-코어로 구성되는 멀티코어 수퍼스칼라 프로세서에 대하여, SPEC 2000 벤치마크를 입력으로 하는 광범위한 모의실험을 수행하였다. 모의실험 결과, 윈도우의 크기가 16일 때 16-코어 수퍼스칼라 프로세서는 1-코어 수퍼스칼라 프로세서보다 8.4배의 성능 향상을 가져왔다. 또한, 같은 코어 개수를 가진 멀티 코어 수퍼스칼라 프로세서의 성능이 멀티코어 RISC 프로세서의 성능의 2 배를 기록하였다.

남성 재킷 패턴 설계를 위한 30-44세 남성의 상반신 체형 및 유형별 사이즈 연구 (A study on the upper body type and size of men aged 30-44 for men jacket pattern design)

  • This study aimed to analyze adult men's body sizes and shapes and suggest size specifications to provide preliminary data to academia and industries. A total of 814 adult men aged 30-44 were selected from the 7th Size Korea data, and 55 direct upper body measurement and calculation items were analyzed using SPSS 25.0. In individual Individual differences, thickness, circumference, and width were high, and height and length were low. Height above the waist base line and shoulder dimension decreased in early 40s age group, while height below the waist base line declined as age increased. In addition, buttocks shape changes were found in early 40s age group. According to factor analysis, 'upper body and upper-extremity horizontal size', 'torso height and upper extremity length', 'shoulder dimension', 'upper body length' and 'shoulder angle' were derived. Using clustering analysis, four different body types were classified: i) big abdomen with flat chest, ii) slender with big, raised shoulders, iii) dwarfish with small, droopy shoulders, and iv) obese with large shoulders. 'Slender with big, raised shoulders' was a typical body shape among men aged 30-44. In older participants, the 'big abdomen with flat chest' ratio was low, while 'obese with large shoulders' was more common. This study proposed size specifications by body type considering the above characteristics.

USPCS 대역 FEM 부착 안테나 설계 (A Design of Attaching the Antenna to USPCS Band FEM)

  • Integration of RF front end module(FEM) into the antenna has been investigated in USPCS band (1.88GHz-1.99GHz). The FEM consists of input filter, power amplifier, coupler, power detector, bias switch and duplexer. The antenna was designed in planar inverted F antenna(PIFA) structure to implement it inside the handset. In order to avoid strong coupling between the antenna and FEM, a shielding ground layer was placed between them. The antenna size is 19mm by 10mm by 6mm under which FEM whose size is 8mm by 5mm by 1.5m locates. The antenna impedance was selected to match to FEM having better efficiency rather than gain since FEM has enough gain whose system spec is minimum of 20dB. The antenna patterns are shown with and without FEM.

  • An analytical performance model that can predict the performance of a superscalar processor employing multiple branch prediction is introduced. The model is based on the conditional independence probability and the basic block size of instructions, with the degree of multiple branch prediction, the fetch rate, and the window size of a superscalar architecture. Trace driven simulation is performed for the subset of SPEC integer benchmarks, and the measured IPCs are compared with the results derived from the model. As the result, our analytic model could predict the performance of the superscalar processor using multiple branch prediction within 6.6 percent on the average.

팬티스타킹 품질표시에 대한 국가별 비교 (Comparative Review on the Pantyhose Labels according to Producing Countries)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the pantyhose labels of domestic products which contain fiber content, size spec., care symbol, performance properties with those of foreign-made ones, in order to propose a desirable model of label description for the domestic products. The results were as follows: 1) There were differences in the fiber content and fiber mixture ratio of pantyhose on the label according to the countries. The pantyhoses made in Korea and Japan were described only fiber name on the label, while the pantyhoses made in U.S.A., Taiwan, and England were described fiber name and percent of fiber mixture ratio in detail on the label. 2) Most of the pantyhose size produced and sold in Korea were same Free size, but the products from other countries (U.S.A., England, Japan, Taiwan) were sold in various sizes. 3) There were differences, according to the countries, in the care symbol and related explanation of pantyhose on the label. The pantyhoses made in Korea and Taiwan were described care symbol only on the label, while the pantyhoses made in other countries were described additional explanation for care as well as care symbol on the label. 4) It was known that, unlike Korea, other countries were developing and marketing various types of functional pantyhose. For example, U.S.A. and England were focusing on appearance and comfort aspects of pantyhose, while Japan and Taiwan were focusing to develop functional pantyhose like anti-bacterial and anti-ultraviolet ray pantyhose.
