  • 최근 대형 선사들은 규모의 경제의 실현을 위하여 선박의 대형화가 이루어지고 있고, 그에 따른 비용 절감을 위해 기항지를 축소하고 있다. 이와 같은 세계해운환경변화로 인해 각 항만들은 치열한 경쟁에서 항만경쟁력을 강화하고자 다양한 마케팅 활동 등으로 변화를 꾀하고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 항만마케팅의 중요성이 부각되면서 항만마케팅에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어졌으나, 관련 선행연구를 살펴보면 마케팅 믹스전략인 4Ps 중에서 제품(Products), 가격(Price), 촉진(Promotion)을 중요시 한데 반해, Place의 전략에 관한 사항을 다소 배제한 것을 알 수 있다. 그러나 부산항의 우선적인 이점은 지리적 이적임을 감안하였을 때, Place 전략이 우선시 될 필요가 있음을 인지하고, Place 마케팅 전략에 대한 방한을 고찰하고자 한다.

Study on development of vessel shore report management system for IMO MSP 8

  • In this study, a Vessel Shore Report Management System (VSRMS) is developed for the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Maritime Service Portfolio (MSP) Number 8, which comprises vessel shore reporting. Several documents have to be completed before the arrival/departure of a vessel at a port, as each national port has its own reporting format and data. The present vessel reporting system is inefficient, time-consuming, and involves excessive paperwork, which results in duplications and errors. To solve this problem, in this study, the vessel reporting formats and data contents of various national ports are investigated, as at present, the reporting documents required by the current IMO standard includes insufficient information which is requested by national ports. Initially, the vessel reporting information of various national ports are collected and analyzed. Subsequently, a database structure for managing vessel reporting data for ports worldwide is devised. To make the transfer of data and the exchange of information of vessel reports much more reliable, efficient, and paper-free, VSRMS, which is a software application for the simplification and facilitation of vessel report formalities, is developed. This application is developed using the latest Microsoft C#.Net Programming Language in the Microsoft Visual Studio framework 4.5. It provides a user interface and a backend MySQL server used for database management. SAP Crystal Reports 2013 is used for designing and generating vessel reports in the original report formats. The VSRMS can facilitate vessel reporting and improve data accuracy through the reduction of input data, efficient data exchange, and reduction of the cost of communication. Adoption of the VSRMS will allow the vessel shore reporting system to be automated, resulting in enhanced work efficiency for shipping companies. Based on this information system and architecture, the consensus of various international organizations, such as the IMO, the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), the Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents (FONASBA), and the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), is required so that vessel reporting is standardized internationally.

공급사슬기반의 육상물류중개시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Inland Logistics Forwarding System based on Supply Chain Management : ILOF)

  • 오늘날 날로 증가하는 물류비는 개별 기업은 물론 국가 전체의 수출 경쟁력을 약화시키는 주요 원인으로 지적되고 있다. 그러나 특히 육상물류의 경우 그 비중이 전체 화물 운송의 60% 이상을 차지함에도 불구하고 심각한 교통체증 및 물류기반 시설의 미비, 효율적인 정보시스템의 미비 등으로 인하여 물류비가 계속 증가하는 양상을 보여 왔다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 우리나라 육상물류산업이 안고 있는 문제점의 해결을 위한 방안들 중의 하나로 공급사슬관리(Supply Chain Management) 개념을 운송산업에 적용한 e-logistics 시스템 개발 프로젝트의 길과를 소개하고 있다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 육상물류중개시스템은 공급사슬개념을 운송산업에 적용하여 화주, 물류중개회사 및 운송사 사이의 업무처리 프로세스 및 데이터 베이스를 공유하면서 차량의 흐름과 정보흐름을 원활하게 하여, 고객에 대한 서비스를 제고하는 한편 인건비, 통신비, 차량유지비 등을 절감할 수 있게 한다. 특히 육상물류중개시스템은 화물의 운송과 관련하여 발생하는 다양한 정보들을 데이터베이스에 저장하여 두었다가 세관 및 터미널에 대한 각종 신고업무에 이용할 수 있으며, 이밖에도 교통정보 및 화물 위치정보 등 다양한 서비스를 제공해 주고 있다. 육상물류중개시스템은 현재 개발중인 항만물류통합데이터베이스를 기반으로 한 항만물류원스톱서비스 시스템과 연계되어 차후에는 물류원스톱시스템으로 발전할 수 있을 것이다.

항만선택행위에 대한 탐색적 이차원적 접근 (An Exploratory Two-dimensional Approach to Port Selection Behavior)

  • 설문조사 및 응답자의 지각을 바탕으로 하는 항만선택연구의 암묵적인 가정은 항만선택속성들의 선호크기가 선택행위에 비례적이라는 것이다. 그러나 항만선택 속성들도 직선만이 아닌 비선형적 특성을 갖을 수 있다. 본 연구는 항만선택연구에 성격이 유사한 카노모형을 원용하여 항만선택속성의 비선형적 특성을 확인 하였다. 연구결과 선사의 항만선택속성들중 복합운송연계성과 항만규모 등이 당연특성으로 평가되는 등 여러 속성들이 비선형적 특성으로 평가되었다. 따라서 항만공사와 운영사 등의 항만 서비스제공자들은 선사들의 비선형적 항만선택특성을 반영한 항만운영전략을 구축해야 할 것이다. 본 연구가 항만선택 특성을 탐색적으로 분석하였기 때문에 추후 국내외 항만 및 이해당사자들을 대상으로 한 추가적인 검증연구가 필요하다. 또한 분석 및 전략수립에 활용한 카노모형 및 중요도 선택분석방법도 명확한 특성의 파악과 전략지침의 제시가 가능하도록 개선할 필요가 있다.

나들가게 활성화를 위한 코사마트 재편에 관한 연구 (A Study of Kosa Mart Re-design for the Development of Nadle Stores)

  • Purpose - In general, large companies have larger organizations, funds, and systems to provide more effective and efficient services in the market. However, development needs to support the livelihood of ordinary citizens who work for small businesses as well. This research suggests that a new distribution channel, called a "foothold style Kosa mart," that cooperates jointly with a distribution center and a large discount mart can provide direct solutions to small and mid-size distributors. This new distribution channel can achieve a limited type of "Nadle shop (small supermarket) foster project" related to building a joint distribution center and improvement in wholesale supply. Research design, data, and methodology - Data about the Korea distribution situation, the Nadle stores, and the logistics centers were collected from literature, Statistics Korea, journals, and reports. Specifically, we investigated information about Kosa Mart and Nadle stores. We focused on the redesign of the distribution center for the Nadle store. Results - The Kosa Mart distribution center now includes 18 warehouses, and has been handling 2000-3000 items. Most of the warehouses have been simply designed and items loaded and stored without refrigeration; thus, it is possible to store only products of certain manufactured goods. The current logistics center has no wholesale function because it failed to resolve the joint purchasing and product supply issues of competitively priced products. Conclusions - This study aimed to identify ways to strengthen the competitiveness of small- and medium-sized retailers. A Kosa Mart redesign aims to unifying the logistics center, stores, and customers. First, the joint wholesale logistics system, equipped with an integrated ordering system, needs to process customer orders and store orders at the same time. Second, excellent small business product development has to connect with production. Third, the store composition needs to support a shipping hub. Fourth, the Mart differentiates itself from convenience store goods by supplying regional and specialized products to customers. Fifth, a service buying agent and direct transactions between producers and consumers need to be established, and exhibits and displays of goods need to be improved.

의류수출업체의 업무과정 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Work Process Analysis of Korean Apparel Exporters)

  • This study aimed to systematize the apparel vendor work processes and provide useful information to future employees of clothing export units by analyzing the processes of vendors' manufacturing tasks. A survey of 20 apparel vendors servicing mainly U.S. buyers was conducted on employees of overseas business departments working for more than five years. buyers. Based on the results, vendors mainly manufactured cut-and-sew knit products. Regarding the production method, OEM was used more frequently than ODM. Fourteen (70%) companies used the ODM method. This suggests that vendors are expanding their production method from OEM to ODM. In order to summarize the work of each business based on the clothing production process research results, buyers were in charge of planning products and the vendors were in charge of sampling. Production of materials and the approval of material tests were out sourced. Overseas factories of vendors were in charge of bulk (mass) production and garment finishing, as well as packaging and shipping the completed products. Even though the vendors' head offices do not directly produce clothes, they play a pivotal role in ensuring planning and management progress in clothing production. As buyers prefer direct contracts for cost reduction, the vendor additionally performs the role of an agent. Also, with the increase in ODM production ratio, the work area of the vendor is expanding. If Korean clothing exporters improve their global competitiveness by investing in the R&D of materials and design to enhance the ODM method, the development of Korea's clothing and export industry will benefit significantly.

대한해협에서의 수온 및 염도변화를 고려한 선박의 저항성능 예측을 위한 기초 연구 (Fundamental Study for Predicting Ship Resistance Performance Due to Changes in Water Temperature and Salinity in Korea Straits)

  • Recently, shipping operators have been making efforts to reduce the fuel cost in various ways, such as trim optimization and bulb re-design. Furthermore, IMO restricts the hydro-dioxide emissions to the environment based on the EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index), EEOI (Energy Efficiency Operational Indicator), and SEEMP (Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan). In particular, ship speed is one of the most important factors for calculating the EEDI, which is based on methods suggested by ITTC (International Towing Tank Conference) or ISO (International Standardization Organization). Many shipbuilding companies in Korea have carried out speed trials around the Korea Straits. However, the conditions for these speed trials have not been exactly the same as those for model tests. Therefore, a ship’s speed is corrected by measured environmental data such as the seawater temperature, density, wind, waves, swell, drift, and rudder angle to match the conditions of the model tests. In this study, fundamental research was performed to evaluate the ship resistance performance due to changes in the water temperature and salinity, comparing the ISO method and numerical simulation. A numerical simulation of a KCS (KRISO Container ship) with a free-surface was performed using the commercial software Star-CCM+ under three conditions that were assumed based on the water temperature and salinity data in the Korea Straits. In the simulation results, the resistance increased under low water temperature & high salinity conditions, and it decreased under high water temperature & low salinity conditions. In addition, the ISO method showed the same result as the simulation.

퍼지이론을 활용한 수도권항만의 기항지 선택요인 분석에 관한 연구 (An Analysis of Selection Factors for Capital Region Ports of Call Using the Fuzzy Theory)

  • 물동량 증가에 따라 수도권항만인 인천항과 평택 당진항에 대한 관심이 증가함에도 불구하고, 수도권항만에 기항하는 선사들을 대상으로 한 기항지 선택요인에 대한 연구는 미진한 실정이다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구에서는 선행연구에서 제시된 대형항만 위주의 선사 기항지 선택요인 추출방법에서 벗어나, 수도권항만에 직접 기항하는 선사 및 이해관계자를 대상으로 실증분석을 실시하여 수도권항만 기항지 선택요인을 도출하고, 요인별 항만별 가중치를 도출하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 선택요인을 추출하기 위하여 요인분석(Factor Analysis)을 사용하였으며, 4가지 상위요인 및 19개의 하부변수를 획득하였다. 한편, 요인별 항만별 가중치 산출을 위하여 퍼지방법론을 적용하였으며, 분석결과 수도권항을 기항하는 선사들은 항만 하역료, 화물처리하역능력, 시설사용료, 접안능력, 항로 및 안벽수심 순으로 중요하게 고려하는 것으로 나타났다. 평가 요인 전체를 이용하여 인천항과 평택 당진항의 우선순위 산정한 결과 인천항(0.641)이 평택 당진항(0.563)보다 선호됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

Optimal dimension design of a hatch cover for lightening a bulk carrier

  • According to the increase of the operating cost and material cost of a ship due to the change of international oil price, a demand for the lightening of the ship weight is being made from various parties such as shipping companies, ship owners, and shipyards. To satisfy such demand, many studies for a light ship are being made. As one of them, an optimal design method of an existing hull structure, that is, a method for lightening the ship weight based on the optimization technique was proposed in this study. For this, we selected a hatch cover of a bulk carrier as an optimization target and formulated an optimization problem in order to determine optimal principal dimensions of the hatch cover for lightening the bulk carrier. Some dimensions representing the shape of the hatch cover were selected as design variables and some design considerations related to the maximum stress, maximum deflection, and geometry of the hatch cover were selected as constraints. In addition, the minimization of the weight of the hatch cover was selected as an objective function. To solve this optimization problem, we developed an optimization program based on the Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) using C++ programming language. To evaluate the applicability of the developed program, it was applied to a problem for finding optimal principal dimensions of the hatch cover of a deadweight 180,000 ton bulk carrier. The result shows that the developed program can decrease the hatch cover's weight by about 8.5%. Thus, this study will be able to contribute to make energy saving and environment-friendly ship in shipyard.

ISM Code 도입에 따른 국내 해양사고 및 보험율 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Change of Domestic Marine Accidents and Insurance Rates according to Enforcement of ISM Code)

  • 선박에서 발생하는 각종 사고의 처리와 손해배상은 선박보험료에 영향을 미치게 되므로, 해양사고와 선박보험료와 증감은 선박의 국제안전관리규약(ISM Code) 도입의 효과를 측정하는 직접적인 평가척도가 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 ISM Code 국내도입 1년 전에서부터 도입 후 8년 동안에 변화하는 해양사고 및 선박보험요율의 분석을 통해, ISM 시행에 따른 성과를 파악하였다. 해양사고는 ISM 이행 1년 전에 비해 ISM 이행 8년차에는 약 14.4%가 감소하였고, 보험율도 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.
