The purpose of this research is to examine residents' needs for shared community spaces and to explore the relationships between these needs and characteristics of consumers such as age and employment status of the homemakers, family life cycle stage, occupation of the primary income provider, housing size, and homeownership. Statistical data were compiled to determine frequencies and percentage distributions, and subjected to General Linear Model and Duncan-test analysis.Most residents wanted to utilize the basements of their complexes for storage space. Further interest was shown for shared community spaces that would be run by residents themselves, such as vegetable gardens, indoor playgrounds for children, senior citizen's activity rooms, walking paths, study rooms, and lounges. Female residents under 45 years old were likely to express needs for storage spaces for bicycle, and multipurpose rooms for meetings and family events. Female residents with jobs were more likely to desire shared community spaces than full-time females residents were. These findings imply the need for consideration of diverse plans rather than uniform ones. This results can be usefully applied to develop new apartment housing for different social class residents.

In the 1960s, rapid urbanization and industrialization created the social atmosphere of individualism in Korea. Individualism has weakened social ties, led to the breakdown of communities, and caused various social problems. So, the paradigm is shifting to a shared society and there are moves to seek ways to solve social problems through community. As part of the initiative, the value and importance of common space in multi-unit dwelling, the typical Korean housing type, is increasing. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the trends of domestic research about common space, to assess the current state of domestic academic world and explore the future plans of the common space. The content analysis method was mainly used and statistics were additionally used to analyze 172 preceding research. As a result, research on common spaces showed a steady increase to the current time. And research was being diversified in the field of publishing journals, research contents, research methods and facilities. Until now, most studies have focused on improvement of plan and the quality of common space by identifying the attitude survey, space planning, and the actual situation. Thus many more studies about proper way to operate and manage common space need to be conducted. it is considered that the common space will develop more efficiently. The study is expected to be used as groundwork for the development of the common space and serve as concrete data to show future development directions.

In modern times, pluralistic social phenomena in which various values are pursed and recognized appear. The modern society called hyper-connected, intelligence information and zero marginal cost society in which shared value is commonly emphasized faces a paradigm shift to shared society system. In particular, sharing-based activities related with intelligence information sectors more prominently emerge in the high-tech informatization which has been accelerated. The purpose of this study is to understand design factors related with how attribution of the sharing culture is expressed in library spaces and examine how sharing infrastructure is established in users' spaces. As a research method, it initially conducted theoretical consideration of the sharing culture and information spaces, which can be regarded as sociocultural phenomena in modern times. Then, it drew sharing culture-based spatial design factors-access, openness and plurality. It analyzed configuration of spaces for sharing information-Cultural Commons (CC), Information Commons(IC) and Learning Commons (LC) - and infrastructure of information spaces, for library cases-five domestic and foreign public libraries-. The findings show that modern library spaces reflect historical needs for the sharing culture and actively serve their roles through spatial infrastructure including contents (programs) and services for sharing knowledge. The study is determined to be valuable as basic data in establishing the infrastructure of information spaces reflecting modern social trends and cultural phenomena, in expecting spatial structures in which knowledge is reproduced and planning spaces of libraries in the future.

알파벳 ${\Sigma}$로 구성된 길이가 각각 m, n인 두 문자열 X, Y가 주어졌을 때, X, Y의 확장편집거리는 동적프로그래밍을 이용하여 O(mn) 시간과 공간을 계산할 수 있다. 최근 m개의 쓰레드를 이용하여 O(m+n) 시간과 O(mn) 공간을 사용하여 X, Y의 확장편집거리를 계산하는 병렬알고리즘이 제시되었다. 본 논문에서는 GPU의 공유메모리를 활용하여 수행시간을 개선한 병렬알고리즘을 제시한다. 실험 결과, 개선된 병렬알고리즘이 기존의 병렬알고리즘보다 약 19~25배 이상 빠른 수행시간을 보였다.

Advances in VLSI technology have brought us completely new design principles for the high-performance switching fabrics including ATM switches. From a practical point of view, port scalability of ATM switches emerges as an important issue while complexity and performance of the switches have been major issues in the switch design. In this paper, we propose a cost-effective approach to modular ATM switch design which provides the good scalability. Taking advantages of both time-division and space-division switch architectures, we propose a practically implementable large scale ATM switch architecture. We present a scalable shared buffer type switch for a building block and its expansion method. In our design, a large scale ATM switch is realized by interconnecting the proposed shared buffer switches in three stages. We also present an efficient control mechanism of the shared buffers, synchronization method for the switches in each stage, and a flow control between stages. It is believed that the proposed approach will have a significant impact on both improving the ATM switch performance and enhancing the scalability of the switch with a new cost-effective scheme for handling the traffic congestion. We show that the proposed ATM switch provides an excellent performance and that its cell delay characteristic is comparable to output queueing which provides the best performance in cell delay among known approaches.

사물인터넷 기반의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅, AR/ VR등 실감 컴퓨팅과 실제 물리 공간의 이음새 없는 하나의 인터랙션 공간을 Tangible Space라고 명하고자 한다. 이 공간에서는 물리 공간에 가상의 물체나 객체가 증강되고 몰입형 가상공간에 물리공간이 투영되고 증강된 형태로 인터랙션의 확장이 가능하다. 인터넷과 웹이 컴퓨팅 환경을 하나의 공유 인터랙션 공간으로 이어주면서 물리공간에서의 우리 삶 자체가 로깅되고 공유되는 시대에 살고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 새로운 인터랙션 공간을 기존 웹의 표현 기법과 응용 소프트웨어 개발 환경을 그대로 활용할 수 있는 Tangible Space의 웨바아징 방법론을 제안하고 개발 구현 사례를 소개하겠다. 앞으로 정보 중심의 웹에서 우리 경험을 지속적이고 연속적으로 담고 공유하는 웹으로 발전할 것으로 기대한다.

CoSlide는 WebDAV 기반의 Jakarta Slide 서버를 확장한 협업시스템으로서 협업참여자들을 위하여 그룹작업장을 제공한다. CoSpace는 WebDAV프로토콜을 통하여 CoSlide 서버에서 다양한 협업저작 활동을 지원하는 클라이언트이며 협업참여자들 사이의 효과적인 상호작용을 지원하는 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스와 협업참여자들의 공유자원 관리기능을 제공한다. 하지만, 협업 수행에 있어서 공유자원의 동시 수정은 협업참여자들에 의해 생성된 수정본들 사이의 충돌을 발생할 수 있어, 프로젝트 진행에 심각한 문제를 야기한다. 본 논문에서는, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 CoSpace 클라이언트의 확장에 대하여 기술한다. 확장된 CoSpace는 협업참여자들이 서버 자원의 버전을 원격으로 관리할 수 있는 원격 버전 관리 기능을 지원한다. 또한, 프로그램 소스코드와 같은 텍스트 파일의 변경 사항을 확인 할 수 있도록, 확장된 클라이언트는 두 버전을 비교하여 차이점을 시각적으로 표현하며 작업장 전체에 대한 버전 관리 기능과 지정된 자원의 불필요한 버전을 일괄적으로 제거하는 기능도 함께 제공한다.

As mobile traffic is growing, the demand for spectrum is increasing but the deficiency of spectrum becomes serious as the supply is restricted essentially. For resolving the issue, spectrum sharing system is discussed from the technical and regulatory point of view, where multiple radio users occupy same frequency. In this paper, the policies and adoptions of spectrum sharing system in some countries are analyzed with a focus on TV white space and licensed shared access, which are based on unlicensed and licensed spectrum usage respectively. Some legal and regulatory plans to adopt and activate spectrum sharing in the Radio Waves Act system of Korea are proposed as well.

The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of users'behavior for the planning of the shared community space(SCS). It was analyzed and estimated that the present status of the SCS of the contemporary multi-family housing sites in Korea and the residents'behavior in the SCS. Theoretic investigation and empirical research methods were used in this study. The empirical survey focused on seeking out user-oriented design criteria, based on the analysis of residents'usage behavior for the SCS. The analysis was made by both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of this study are as follows; First, as to the usage status survey for the SCS, there is a difference in the degree of usage according to their locations. Second, as to the analysis of the SCS through a mental map, the sketch map analysis is found to be a useful research method for the SCS planning by actualizing the residents'behavior characteristics. In detail, the main characteristics in the SCS planning are nearness, centrality, intimacy, combination of facilities and the connection with the main paths of the complex.
