The purpose of this study is the awareness about the experiences of immigrant women residing in rural areas of life in Korea. Immigrant women residing in Gyeonggi Province and Incheon was a self-reported survey. Data collected by utilizing the SAS(Statistical Analysis System), percentage, mean, standard deviation, frequency analysis, including descriptive statistics were used. Findings, more than half of the migrant women are satisfied with their lives, and showed a high level of satisfaction with the husband. Learning map awareness in the education of their children in the most difficult and the necessary support to the children the basic curriculum map, Children's education as a way to solve the problem of after-school and school education activated and was the language barrier. Hard life in Korea, the language is a problem, Place discrimination received was a public place. Adapt to Korean society, language communication, child education, community adjustment problems with the same level of help was most needed. Meetings or activities often involve religious organizations, their home country, and meeting friends. His native Koreans, when it is difficult to discuss in order. Based on the results of such, Korea and community well adapted to the social framework that can nurture children married immigrant women in rural areas communities and Korean society and institutional as well prepared, and In addition, the foundation will need to activate the program.
The purpose of this study was to find out the difference between importance and performance regarding perception of core competence of gifted education teachers through importance-performance analysis (IPA). One hundred fourteen elementary gifted education teachers including math and science participated in the study. The collected survey data was analyzed with IPA matrix. As the result, firstly, there was significant difference between importance and performance regarding perception of core competence of gifted education teachers. Secondly, core competencies of 'understanding knowledge', 'research and instruction', 'passion and motivation', and 'ethics' are high in both perceptions of importance and performance. However, both 'communication and practices' and 'professional curriculum development' are low. Thirdly, there was a difference in core competence of gifted education teachers between math and science at the competence of 'passion and motivation'. Math gifted education teachers perceived 'passion and motivation' high in both importance and performance while science gifted education teachers perceived its importance low and performance high. In addition, math gifted education teachers showed lower performance compared to its importance in the sub-categories; 'knowledge of gifted development', 'gifted child assessment', 'information gathering and its literacy', and 'creative answers to various questions'. However, science gifted education teachers showed lower performance compared to its importance in sub-categories; 'higher-order thinking skills in its subject', 'teaching methodology for self-directed learning', 'problem behavior of the gifted', and 'counseling the gifted'.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the direction and strategy of education for sex role concepts of children on the basis of factor analysis of the present situation in sex role concepts and their formation. Although some maintain that sex role concept of our society has been changing slowly, the traditional sex role concept still dominates and is potentially immanent. the analysis of present condition of our society indicates that the formal as well as informal education are facing with various crucial problems in providing the direction of behavior demanded for carrying out the role. The close analysis of the three theories, psychoanalytic theory , social learning theory, cognitive development theory, lends a support to the laim of the study that cognitive development theory provide an integrated frame of reference for us to see the sex role education analytically Furthermore, the factors which are found to have influences on the formation of sex role have been analyzed in three areas: Family, School and society. 1)The factors in family such as parental behavior of upbringing and their concepts of sex role have a direct relationship with the nature of sex tole concept of children. Therefore, the first step to make children to habe a new type of sex-role conception appropriate for modern societies is to change that of parental conception and attitudes. 2)the quantitative as well as the qualitative aspects of school education showed no exceptional trend from the dominant conception of the society, although school are expected to lead the society as formal education institution rather than just reflect the society. The educational activities and contents such as the conceived goal of education for eoch sex, textbook constitation, teaching behavior and sex-role concepts of teacher are found to be still dominated by the traditional sex-role assumption. 3) The social factors that have direct relationship with children's sex-role formation are social and cultural, which include social milieu, condition of employment, family structure and mass-media. Since family and school do not educate the young in a social vacuum. their educational function of sex-role formation are doomed to be limited and determined by these social factors. Unfortunately, the analysis of present conditions showed the dominance of traditional types of sex-role concepts in all these social factors. The education of sex-role concept for children should be treated as one of the most crucial value problems related with many other important problems, such as direction and patterns of behaviors of each sex, the degree of self-development and capabilities, and consequently human right, equality, humanization and the quality of happiness. Neverthless, the analysis of researches on sex-role education which have been surveyed in this study lead to a conclusion that concerted effort to change the education, formal as well as informal should be provided in every aspect of social life. If the sex role education of the past has aimed at the "feminization"of girls which indoctrinate girls into a limited and fixed role of house wives, the new education in the future should be directed foward "humanization" of both sexes which opens the diversity of roles for both boys and girl on equal levels and provide future possibilities in accordance to their individual capabilities and interests.

Korean language has the characteristics that the pronunciation of phoneme units such as vowels and consonants are fixed and the pronunciation associated with a notation does not change, so that foreign learners can approach rather easily Korean language. However, when one pronounces words, phrases, or sentences, the pronunciation changes in a manner of a wide variation and complexity at the boundaries of syllables, and the association of notation and pronunciation does not hold any more. Consequently, it is very difficult for foreign learners to study Korean standard pronunciations. Despite these difficulties, it is believed that systematic analysis of pronunciation errors for Korean words is possible according to the advantageous observations that the relationship between Korean notations and pronunciations can be described as a set of firm rules without exceptions unlike other languages including English. In this paper, we propose a visualization framework which shows the differences between standard pronunciations and erratic ones as quantitative measures on the computer screen. Previous researches only show color representation and 3D graphics of speech properties, or an animated view of changing shapes of lips and mouth cavity. Moreover, the features used in the analysis are only point data such as the average of a speech range. In this study, we propose a method which can directly use the time-series data instead of using summary or distorted data. This was realized by using the deep learning-based technique which combines Self-organizing map, variational autoencoder model, and Markov model, and we achieved a superior performance enhancement compared to the method using the point-based data.
The purpose of this study is to provide necessary information to understand characteristics of vocational high school students and to enhance academic engagement through social support of teachers, leading to help research of teaching and learning strategy. A survey was conducted on 990 engineering major students attending 11 vocational high schools in Seoul metropolitan, Chungcheong, Jeolla, Kyeongsang and Kangwon regions. A questionnaire consists of measurement tools for the academic engagement (21 questions) and the social support of teachers (25 questions). The findings of this study are as follows: First, it is found that the level of students' academic engagement was high. But it appears that the students showed low engagement of emotion compared with that of behavior and cognition. There was no level difference according to gender, but there was a considerable difference according to a school year. The first year students' level of engagement was higher than the second and the third year students' in terms of cognition and emotion. Second, it shows that the level of the teachers' social support was normal, which was in the order of appraisal support, instrumental support, informational support, and emotional support. Especially, the level of appraisal support and instrumental support was most. Third, there were correlation and explanation between students' academic engagement and teachers' social support. Moreover, the result that teachers' emotional support has high correlation and explanation in qualitative terms of academic engagement support the importance. Therefore, it is concluded that the social support of teachers can make an positive influence on improving the academic engagement of students and provide students with adaptability and satisfaction with their school life, which may give students a positive effect in emotional development, self-formation, and complement.

The study objectively examined the effects on education results from the educational programs developed by adopting competency units of NCS(National Competency Standards)' technology sectors. The objects of the study are divided to learners and instructors. The learners were set bounds to vocational college students to take a degree and incumbent company workers. Research materials had been collected from April of 2010 to June of 2011. We use test papers and structured questionnaire for studying. And we analyzed by SPSS/WIN 17.0. we examined that student's got 1.4 point out of 3 points in their self-test paper before taking classes, below average grades in understanding contents of learning. And as frequency analysis on the after taking classes performance evaluation 62.48% of them answered they can perform their duties in better ways. On average, the company workers got 1.4 point out 3 point before taking classes. And as frequency of analysis on the performance evaluation 85.45% of them answered the can perform their duties in better ways. After instructors took classes on NCS, they gave highly 5.58 out of 7 poins about learners' job competence. On the whole, the educational programs using NCS had positive effects on education results.
The purpose of this study is to test the effect of pedagogical agent realism and expertise on persona effect. There were two perspectives of the pedagogical agents' social interaction. Self-identification hypothesis argues that complexity of agent image is better to increase social interaction. Subjective identification insists that simplified image is more helpful to facilitate social interaction. However, from the cognitive load theory perspective, learners' expertise can be a major factor to determine persona effect. Sixty-eight college students (male=19 and female=49) participated. The independent variables were the degree of realism of pedagogical agent (detailed vs. simplified image) and the expertise (high prior knowledge group vs. low prior knowledge group). The dependant variables were comprehension test and the agent persona instrument (API). There was no significant difference in comprehension test score; however, there were significant interaction effect on the most constructs of API: 1) facilitating of learning, 2) credible, and 3) human-like. The follow-up analysis of simple main effect revealed that high expertise group showed significantly higher perception of the three construct with high realism of pedagogical agent. The results of study show that learners' expertise plays a key role of perception of persona effect.
Mathematically gifted students' emotional changes during Mathematical Olympiad training camp were studied. The emotions of the gifted during the camp were fluctuated significantly by comparing their test scores with other camp attendants, while the morale was high at the beginning. The camp attendants were likely to overcome disappointment resulting from bad scores with putting more efforts on studying, which means their self-assessments for their mathematical talents are not affected by test results. From what characterizes the emotional changes of the gifted, we conclude as follows: First, they tend to be positive on grouping classes depending on the mathematical ability. Second, careful emotional supports and care were needed in ability grouping education. Third, it is important to let the gifted have more chances to communicate with other camp attendants. It is recommended to induce the gifted to put their focus on the learning goal. Fifth, the proper environment helps the gifted be indulged in studying mathematics.

Activity materials in textbook could facilitate students' oriented self-help learning. The purpose of this paper is to find out characteristics of activity materials in the housing area of middle school Technology and Home Economics and teacher's perception of them. The data were collected from 253 middle school teachers who had ever taught the housing unit in any of 6 textbooks. The results showed that the number of activity materials were differed by the characteristics of the materials such as type of materials, feature of non sentence materials, and type of activity, depend on authors as well as textbooks. In general, teachers interests in the materials were higher than those of students even the trends of the interests were the same. Adequacy of activity contents and related knowledge of teachers were higher than adequacy of level. Teachers thought time and extra search beyond class were barrier to full the interests of students. Further research is suggested to find out whether higher interests in the materials are related to the higher activating rate of them.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore perceived meanings of dating and marriage among well-educated Korean couples who were in optimal marriageable ages. Particularly, an emphasis was placed on finding out where the traditional gender norms and post-modern contexts intersect on the couples' course of dating and marriage. Method: We undertook a qualitative analysis of 8 couples (age: 26-34) dating. Participants were limited to university graduates of upper-middle rank universities in Seoul, South Korea. The rationale for choosing such sample was based on the idea that characteristics of class is inherent in the act of dating and marriage, and that such characteristics lead to different contextual experiences in dating and marriage. This study was based on interviews conducted over a three-month time span. The interviews were first transcribed into research text and then subjects and key categories were drawn from the transcripts for analysis. Results: Participants sought meanings of joy, learning, and self-improvement in dating, and they were free from traditional gender norms in their romantic relationships. They viewed marriage as having a permanent companionship with their partner, becoming independent from their parents, and/or a social norm to be followed. Participants reported mixed perceptions about marriage in such fashion that they described their parents' relationship in terms of a gendered leader-supporter relationship, while viewing their own relationship as being genderless partners. In transition to parenthood, however, they regressed to traditional gender norms dichotomized as women being a homemaker and men being a breadwinner. In sum, participants displayed expectations that were inconsistent with regard to dating and marriage over the study period. That is, during the course of dating and early marriage, they did not hold separated gender norms; however, when transitioning from being a newly married couple to giving their first childbirth, expectations shifted to traditional gender norms and values. Conclusion: This suggests that it is not marriage, but the experience of childbirth and motherhood, which strengthen traditional gendered norms, engendering regeneration of the gender norms in families. The results indicate that there is a need to promote co-parenting behavior among the newly-married couples and to educate gender equality about parent roles or for parents in South Korea so that they can overcome traditional gendered norms in family.
