  • RPA is implemented through management policy and enforced in mandatory environments to enhance performance and efficiency in various fields. However, the success of RPA implementation depends on the level of active engagement from organization members, even in a mandatory setting. This study identifies perceived ease of use, usefulness, accountability, perceived risk, and self-efficacy as variables that influence conative use behavior, which consists of reflective secondary factors such as immersion, reinvention, and learning. Data was collected from 207 office workers in various industries who have experience with RPA to test the proposed research model. The structural equation was verified using SPSS 20.0 and SmartPLS 4.0, and the analysis showed that all the proposed variables had a significant impact on conative use behavior. Our research findings provide theoretical and practical implications in knowledge management, enabling companies that implement RPA to recognize and address factors that encourage their members to actively use RPA.

  • MMS (Multimedia Messaging Services) is one of the most basic services of mobile communication as well as a promising m-commerce enabling service. In our study, we hypothesize that the personality-based and cognitive traits of TAM and social cognitive theory are antecedents to MMS acceptance asking: what are the key determinants of intention to use MMS? An empirical investigation of 1,016 mobile phone users in South Korea was conducted. PLS results provided support for the effects of self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, relative advantage, credibility on attitude toward MMS use and strong support for the effect of attitude toward intention to use MMS. Our results provided a detailed account of the key forces underlying users intention to use MMS including personal and cognitive trait measures. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed in the paper.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of weight control programs on BMI, serum profiles, nutrition knowledge and eating behaviors of adult obese women. The subjects of this study were 33 adult obese women aged 30-65 years residing in Seoul. The weight control program for obese women included nutritional education, cognitive behavioral therapy and exercise for 12 weeks. The weight control experience of the subjects was 60.6%. They preferred physical exercise and diet restriction to weight control and 72.7% of subjects answered that the reasons for wanting to control their weight was health. The BMI of test subjects significantly decreased (p<0.001) from 28.3 to 27.1 after the 12 weeks of the weight control program. In addition, the % body fat significantly decreased (p<0.001) from 36.4% to 34.5% after completion of the weight control program. SGPT levels in the serum were also significantly decreased (p<0.05) after the program. Triglyceride levels significantly decreased from 194.9 mg/dL to 98.1 mg/dL (p<0.01) and the HDL cholesterol level significantly increased (p<0.01) from 55.8 mg/dL to 60.0 mg/dL after completion of the weight control program. Nutritional knowledge and eating behavior scores were significantly increased (p<0.001). In addition, the eating self-efficacy of the subjects was significantly increased (p<0.01); however, the food diversity scores were not changed after the program.
