RFID와 TCp/IP를 활용한 원격 보안 출입 제어 시스템 (Remote Secure Entrance Control System using RFID and TCP/IP)

  • RFID 시스템은 현재 다양한 분야에서 사용되어 지고 있는 바코드 인식 시스템이나 자기 인식 장치들이 근본적으로 내재하고 있는 실용성 및 보안성 문제점들을 보완할 수 있는 대체 시스템으로 각광받고 있다. 특히 RFID 시스템은 교통카드, 출입구 보안 및 출결 카드 분야를 포함한 상거래와 직접적인 관련이 있는 물류관리, 재고관리, 항만관리, 동물관리 등 물류 및 유통 분야에서도 빠르게 응용 및 확산되어 사용되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 한 예로서 RFID시스템을 TCP/IP를 이용하여 네트워크화하여 구성한 안전하고 효율적인 원격 출입 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 먼저 원격 출입 제어에 적합한 인증 프로토콜을 제안하며, 제안한 인증 프로토클 기반의 원격 보안 출입 제어 시스템이 원활한 자동문 제어가 가능함을 임베디드 시스템과 TCP/IP 기반의 RFID 시스템으로 구성된 자동문 세트를 활용한 모의실험을 통해 실용성을 증명한다.

  • 근년에 들어. 신용거래 문화가 확산되는 한편 고객에 대한 한 차원 높은 서비스를 제공하며 업무의 효율성 재고라는 의미에서 은행 업무의 자동화는 더욱 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 예컨데 고객에 대한 현금 지불 처리의 자동화는 현재 계속 진행되어 업체간 경쟁이 심해지고 있는 것이 현실이다. 최근 들어 본격 BANKING AUTOMATION SYSTEM화를 추구하는 각 은행들은 보다 더 원활한 전산업무 화 질적으로 높은 고객 서비스를 위해 CASH DISPENSER 보급을 확대하고 있다. 따라서 CD를 제작하는 MAKER들도 선두주자로서의 M/S 확보를 위해 다각도로 CD 개발에 박차를 가하고 있다. 현금인출 자동화 기기인 CASH DISPENSER는 이제 일반화되어 기능의 다양화와 DESIGN이 COMPACT화해 가는 추세이다. 이러한 현 상황 하에서 실제로 CD 개발을 하였던 과정을 근거로 하여 보다 더 신뢰성 있고 편리하게 사용할 수 있는 CD DESIGN 제안을 사례 형식으로 살펴보았고 앞으로의 DESIGN 개발 방향을 제시해 보았다.

Determining Personal Credit Rating through Voice Analysis: Case of P2P loan borrowers

  • Fintech, which stands for financial technology, is growing fast globally since the economic crisis hit the United States in 2008. Fintech companies are striving to secure a competitive advantage over existing financial services by providing efficient financial services utilizing the latest technologies. Fintech companies can be classified into several areas according to their business solutions. Among the Fintech sector, peer-to-peer (P2P) lending companies are leading the domestic Fintech industry. P2P lending is a method of lending funds directly to individuals or businesses without an official financial institution participating as an intermediary in the transaction. The rapid growth of P2P lending companies has now reached a level that threatens secondary financial markets. However, as the growth rate increases, so does the potential risk factor. In addition to government laws to protect and regulate P2P lending, further measures to reduce the risk of P2P lending accidents have yet to keep up with the pace of market growth. Since most P2P lenders do not implement their own credit rating system, they rely on personal credit scores provided by credit rating agencies such as the NICE credit information service in Korea. However, it is hard for P2P lending companies to figure out the intentional loan default of the borrower since most borrowers' credit scores are not excellent. This study analyzed the voices of telephone conversation between the loan consultant and the borrower in order to verify if it is applicable to determine the personal credit score. Experimental results show that the change in pitch frequency and change in voice pitch frequency can be reliably identified, and this difference can be used to predict the loan defaults or use it to determine the underlying default risk. It has also been shown that parameters extracted from sample voice data can be used as a determinant for classifying the level of personal credit ratings.

  • 다양한 IoT 기기로 구성된 스마트 홈에서는 편리하고 효율적인 서비스를 제공한다. 그러나 사적인 영상과 음성과 같은 민감한 정보까지 수집 및 처리될 뿐 아니라 인터넷을 통해 공유될 수 있어서 보안이 중요하다. 이러한 스마트 홈 IoT 장치 관리를 위하여 데이터 무결성 및 안전성을 제공하기 위해 블록체인 기술을 활용하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존 검증을 위한 연산을 지속적으로 수행해야 하는 PoW(작업 증명) 블록체인에서 아닌 네트워크에 축적된 지분을 통해 블록을 검증하는 PoS(지분 증명), 그 중에서 확장성 부분을 해결하고자 하는 DPoS(위임 지분 증명) 방식으로 스마트 홈 IoT 환경에 적절한 보안용 블록체인 체계를 제안한다. DPoS 체계인 EOSIO 기반으로 제안시스템을 구현하여 실현가능성을 보이고, 성능평가를 통해 트랜잭션 처리 속도 측면의 성능 향상을 보이고자 한다.

  • [Purpose] It aims to suggest the differential factors to enhance the customer satisfaction and to activate the shopping in the convenience store (CVS). [Methodology] Convenience store service convenience (CVS SERVCON) was developed at the first time and the gap of relative importance level between the owners and the consumers was assessed by AHP analysis method..[Findings] First, the importance of access convenience was assessed as the first priority in both CVS owners' group and the consumers' group, while the detailed elements showed the differences which required the improvements. Based on the consumers' assessment, the importance of location was relatively low. They assessed relatively high on 24 hours operation of CVS and personal services. Second with respect to the transaction convenience, CVS owners' group rated it as the fourth priority while the consumers' group rated as the second, which requires the improvement. Third in terms of benefit utility and value-added service of post-benefit convenience which are the sub-factors of benefit convenience, the rate on the importance from the consumers showed higher than that from the owners, which requires the improvement. [Implications] Based on this study results, CVS operating companies are anticipated to be able to satisfy the customers, moreover, to secure the loyal customers if they concentrate the resources to develop the differentiation strategy on the areas where the consumers' demands are high while performs the maintenance strategy on the areas where their demands are low. In addition, this study contributed the theoretical expansion of SERVCON upon development of CVS SERVCON to comply with its definition.

하이브리드 블록체인 기반의 안전한 펌웨어 배포 시스템 (Hybrid blockchain-based secure firmware distribution system)

  • 4차 산업시대에 들어가며 IoT기기들의 수는 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 그에 따라 증가하는 IoT기기들의 보안사고와 비례하여 보안의 중요성에 대한 관심 또한 높아지고 있다. 하지만 IoT기기들의 제한적인 성능으로 인해 기존의 보안 솔루션을 적용하기에는 제약이 있다. 따라서 이를 해결하기 위한 새로운 자동 펌웨어 배포 솔루션을 필요로 한다. 우리는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 퍼블릭 블록체인과 프라이빗 블록체인을 결합한 하이브리드 블록체인을 사용하는 새로운 자동 펌웨어 업데이트 시스템을 제안한다. 퍼블릭 블록체인은 다양한 펌웨어 제공업자들이 공통된 시스템을 사용하여 펌웨어 배포를 가능하게 해준다. 프라이빗 블록체인은 퍼블릭 블록체인의 트랜잭션 과부하 문제를 해결하며 IoT 기기들의 관리를 용이하게 해준다. 또한 분산 파일 저장소를 사용하여 단실실패점 없이 높은 가용성을 보장한다. 따라서 본 시스템을 사용하면 IoT 기기들의 보안 향상에 매우 효과적일 것으로 예상된다.

빠른 검색을 위한 음원 시그니처 인덱싱 방법 (Music Source Signature Indexing Method for Quick Search)

  • 블록체인은 자본 거래나 보안 데이터의 안전한 전송을 위한 플랫폼으로 그 가치가 높아지고 있다. 아울러 블록체인은 동영상, 음악, 사진과 같은 대용량의 데이터를 안전하게 저장하고, 거래 내용이나 서비스 이용 명세 등을 안전하게 관리할 수 있는 새로운 플랫폼으로서의 가능성을 가지고 있다. 블록 내 대용량 미디어 데이터를 저장할 수 없기에 분산저장 시스템(IPFS)과 음원 시그니처 데이터의 해시 정보를 이용하여 블록 내 음원 정보를 저장하고, 저장된 음원 데이터를 검색하는 속도에 관한 연구가 진행되었다. 본 논문에서는 기존 연구가 제시했던 검색 속도를 향상시킬 수 있는 블룸필터를 이용한 음원 시그니처 인덱싱 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과 기존 검색성능(O(n))보다 향상된 검색 성능 (O(1))을 달성할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Blockchain for Securing Smart Grids

  • Smart grid is a fully-automated, bi-directional, power transmission network based on the physical grid system, which combines sensor measurement, computer, information communication, and automatic control technology. Blockchain technology, with its security features, can be integrated with Smart Grids to provide secure and efficient power management and transmission. This paper dicusses the deployment of Blockchain technology in Smart Grid. It presents application areas and protocols in which blockchain can be applied to in securing smart grid. One application of each area is explored in detail, such as efficient peer-to-peer transaction, lower platform costs, faster processes, greater flexibility in power generation to transmission, distribution and power consumption in different energy storage systems, current barriers obstructing the implementation of blockchain applications with some level of maturity in financial services but concepts only in energy and other sectors. Wide range of energy applications suggesting a suitable blockchain architecture in smart grid operations, a sample block structure and the potential blockchain technicalities employed in it. Also, added with efficient data aggregation schemes based on the blockchain technology to overcome the challenges related to privacy and security in the smart grid. Later on, consensus algorithms and protocols are discussed. Monitoring of the usage and statistics of energy distribution systems that can also be used to remotely control energy flow to a particular area. Further, the discussion on the blockchain-based frameworks that helps in the diagnosis and maintenance of smart grid equipment. We have also discussed several commercial implementations of blockchain in the smart grid. Finally, various challenges have been discussed for integrating these technologies. Overall, it can be said at the present point in time that blockchain technology certainly shows a lot of potentials from a customer perspective too and should be further developed by market participants. The approaches seen thus far may have a disruptive effect in the future and might require additional regulatory intervention in an already tightly regulated energy market. If blockchains are to deliver benefits for consumers (whether as consumers or prosumers of energy), a strong focus on consumer issues will be needed.

블록 전파 시간 단축을 위한 비트코인 네트워크 이웃 연결 알고리즘 개선 (Improved Bitcoin Network Neighbors Connection Algorithm to Reduce Block Propagation Time)

  • 비트코인은 일반적으로 사용하고 있는 달러, 원화, 유로, 엔화 등 세계적인 종이 화폐와 달리 은행과 금융기관 등과 같은 중앙 집중 기관에 의존하지 않는 암호화폐이다. 비트코인 네트워크에서는 채굴(mining) 작업으로 거래 내역이 담긴 블록을 생성하고, 블록이 생성되었다는 메시지를 모든 참여 노드에게 브로드캐스팅(broadcasting) 방식으로 전파하여 검증을 통해 신뢰성을 확보한다. 이와 같이 비트코인 네트워크에서 채굴과 블록 전파는 P2P 네트워크의 성능에 크게 영향을 받는다. 채굴의 경우 네트워크 내에서 먼저 채굴을 진행하고, 더 빠르게 채굴에 대한 증명을 전파하는지에 따라 보상을 받는 노드가 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 비트코인 네트워크에서 수행되는 기존의 이웃 연결 방식과 블록 전파 방식에 대한 문제점을 지역적인 특성과 RTT(Round-To-Trip) 값 측정을 적용하여 블록 전파 속도향상을 위한 개선 알고리즘을 제시한다. 실험을 통해 개선 알고리즘과 기존 알고리즘의 성능 비교하여 전반적인 블록 전파 시간이 감소한 것을 검증한다.

인지된 위험의 유형이 소비자 신뢰 및 온라인 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Perceived Risks Upon Consumer Trust and Purchase Intentions)

  • Internet-based commerce has undergone an explosive growth over the past decade as consumers today find it more economical as well as more convenient to shop online. Nevertheless, the shift in the common mode of shopping from offline to online commerce has caused consumers to have worries over such issues as private information leakage, online fraud, discrepancy in product quality and grade, unsuccessful delivery, and so forth, Numerous studies have been undertaken to examine the role of perceived risk as a chief barrier to online purchases and to understand the theoretical relationships among perceived risk, trust and purchase intentions, However, most studies focus on empirically investigating the effects of trust on perceived risk, with little attention devoted to the effects of perceived risk on trust, While the influence trust has on perceived risk is worth studying, the influence in the opposite direction is equally important, enabling insights into the potential of perceived risk as a prohibitor of trust, According to Pavlou (2003), the primary source of the perceived risk is either the technological uncertainty of the Internet environment or the behavioral uncertainty of the transaction partner. Due to such types of uncertainty, an increase in the worries over the perceived risk may negatively affect trust, For example, if a consumer who sends sensitive transaction data over Internet is concerned that his or her private information may leak out because of the lack of security, trust may decrease (Olivero and Lunt, 2004), By the same token, if the consumer feels that the online merchant has the potential to profit by behaving in an opportunistic manner taking advantage of the remote, impersonal nature of online commerce, then it is unlikely that the merchant will be trusted, That is, the more the probable danger is likely to occur, the less trust and the greater need to control the transaction (Olivero and Lunt, 2004), In summary, a review of the related studies indicates that while some researchers looked at the influence of overall perceived risk on trust level, not much attention has been given to the effects of different types of perceived risk, In this context the present research aims at addressing the need to study how trust is affected by different types of perceived risk, We classified perceived risk into six different types based on the literature, and empirically analyzed the impact of each type of perceived risk upon consumer trust in an online merchant and further its impact upon purchase intentions. To meet our research objectives, we developed a conceptual model depicting the nomological structure of the relationships among our research variables, and also formulated a total of seven hypotheses. The model and hypotheses were tested using an empirical analysis based on a questionnaire survey of 206 college students. The reliability was evaluated via Cronbach's alphas, the minimum of which was found to be 0.73, and therefore the questionnaire items are all deemed reliable. In addition, the results of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) designed to check the validity of the measurement model indicate that the convergent, discriminate, and nomological validities of the model are all acceptable. The structural equation modeling analysis to test the hypotheses yielded the following results. Of the first six hypotheses (H1-1 through H1-6) designed to examine the relationships between each risk type and trust, three hypotheses including H1-1 (performance risk ${\rightarrow}$ trust), H1-2 (psychological risk ${\rightarrow}$ trust) and H1-5 (online payment risk ${\rightarrow}$ trust) were supported with path coefficients of -0.30, -0.27 and -0.16 respectively. Finally, H2 (trust ${\rightarrow}$ purchase intentions) was supported with relatively high path coefficients of 0.73. Results of the empirical study offer the following findings and implications. First. it was found that it was performance risk, psychological risk and online payment risk that have a statistically significant influence upon consumer trust in an online merchant. It implies that a consumer may find an online merchant untrustworthy if either the product quality or the product grade does not match his or her expectations. For that reason, online merchants including digital storefronts and e-marketplaces are suggested to pursue a strategy focusing on identifying the target customers and offering products that they feel best meet performance and psychological needs of those customers. Thus, they should do their best to make it widely known that their products are of as good quality and grade as those purchased from offline department stores. In addition, it may be inferred that today's online consumers remain concerned about the security of the online commerce environment due to the repeated occurrences of hacking or private information leakage. Online merchants should take steps to remove potential vulnerabilities and provide online notices to emphasize that their website is secure. Second, consumer's overall trust was found to have a statistically significant influence on purchase intentions. This finding, which is consistent with the results of numerous prior studies, suggests that increased sales will become a reality only with enhanced consumer trust.
