A Study on Furniture Terminology (II) - For Types & Hinges of Traditional Korean wood Furniture - (가구 용어 연구 II - 전통가구 종류 및 경첩을 중심으로 -)

  • This study describes the furniture terms in English relating to the types (Jang, Nong, Bandazi) and hinges (Gyeongchup) of traditional Korean wood furniture considering furniture globalization. Traditional Western chest, commode, wardrobe, cupboard, secretary, cabinet, and bookcase, which store something such as clothing, books, tablewares, small things and so on, could be compared with the Jang, Non, and Bandazi in terms of the pieces' use in researching the terms between English and Korean language. Hardwares decorating surfaces of the pieces, including the furniture types and details, were studied according to the shapes and the uses in order to explore the two terms. As a result, the terms of chest (Gaew), commode (Seolapjang), cupboard/buffet (Chanjang), wardrobe (Ottjang), cabinet (Jang), secretary (Jang), bookcase (Checkjang), and Half-opened chest (Bandazi) were analyzed and proposed in Korean and English language. In addition, the terms of the hinges between the two furniture were studied as well.

  • This paper attempted to analyze the presidential archives of the participatory government in the labor and employment policy secretary's office. This approach is meaningful in that it provides basic data for evaluating presidential records and facilitating their use. Furthermore, evaluation of participatory government labor policies can help create a research environment based on archives. This paper also focused on the evidence value of document management cards that can confirm the entire decision-making process. This is an eloquence of the quality of the participatory government presidential archives.

  • 최근 서구화된 식습관으로 비만과 성인병은 급격히 증가하고 있다. 체중 조절을 위해서는 알맞은 식단과 운동 계획을 세워 실행하는 것이 가장 쉽고 간단하게 할 수 있는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 신체 조건을 파악한 후 식단과 운동을 추천하고, 점검하는 어플리케이션인 Diet Secretary를 제안하고 구현하였다. 또한, Diet Secretary는 가상의 캐릭터 Dabi의 이야기로 사용자의 체중 조절에 대한 관심을 이끌어내고, 퀴즈를 통해 체중 조절이 잘 진행되고 있는지 점검한다.

Foodservice Management in Children Care Social Welfare facilities (아동 복지시설의 급식 운영 실태 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current foodservice management practices of children care social welfare facilities. Questionnaire were sent to the directors of all 275 children welfare facilities in Korea and 107 returned facilities in korea and 107 returned the complete answers. These questionnaire were answered by manager. Equipments were evaluated by investigators using the evaluation form. staffing structure revealed that most of the facilities had a director, a secretary, nurse, but only 15% of the system hired a dietitian. It showed the shortage of nurse, physical therapists, and dietitian. Therefore, food purchasing, menu planning, food delivery, and the other food service management processes are handled by non-professionals, such as director, secretary, or cooks. Food purchasing money of total budget is $10{\sim}20%$. Food purchasing place in most facilities was market place. Foodstuffs were almost purchased $2{\sim}3$ per weeks. 90% of the welfare facilities were used the menu. Modified food frequency questionnaire were used to get the frequencies of each food items used in menu. The results showed relatively satisfactory in food frequencies, however, this was about what was used in menu, not vat was eaten by the residents. conditions of most equipments in the kitchen were defective specially in dishwashing and sterilization step.

  • The welding technology must fit to the purpose of each construction. The includes a careful understanding of demands, the adapted materials and their behaviour subjected to welding. The manufacturing is very essential too. The education of welding and control personnel will change. The integration of robotics, sensing and automation in the production makes the role of personnel and their responsibility very different. The paper tries to give the state of the art and an estimation for this and possibly the next decade(Fig. 1)
