In this paper, we propose a pen gesture recognition system for user interface in multimedia terminal which requires fast processing time and high recognition rate. It is realtime and interaction system between graphic and text module. Text editing in recognition system is performed by pen gesture in graphic module or direct editing in text module, and has all 14 editing functions. The pen gesture recognition is performed by searching classification features that extracted from input strokes at pen gesture model. The pen gesture model has been constructed by classification features, ie, cross number, direction change, direction code number, position relation, distance ratio information about defined 15 types. The proposed recognition system has obtained 98% correct recognition rate and 30msec average processing time in a recognition experiment.

For the remarkable enhancement of high-speed rail passenger services, a system which provides various multimedia contents and Internet search functions was designed. The system gets inputs from a passenger and displays various multimedia contents on the touch sensitive LCD panel attached on a passenger seat. This kind of service is new in Korea and not easy to find in other countries, either. In this paper, we presented a design of a system which provides not only one-way broadcasting services but also searching capability of various information interactively. Informations to be provided are train schedule, transfer information, tour information, E-books, movies, music, ets. Successful completion of the system development in the following years is expected to strengthen international competitiveness of Korean railway industry.

There use many production management systems for increasing productivity, minimizing inventory, keeping due dates and maximizing use of resources. MRP, GT and JIT are popular among these systems. In this study, we had designed mixed production system which integrated searching and grouping function of GT, purchasing function of JIT and based on MRP and developed related algorithms and applied systems. The developed system was based on appling renewed algorithms for existing MRP system. To test efficiency operated real-data but we have tested renewed algorithms using sample-data because of massive real-data.

A new compact conformal dome optical system was established, and the aberration characteristics of the dome were investigated using Zernike aberration theory. The aberrations induced by the dome at different fields of regard (FORs) from 30° to 100° were effectively balanced by a rotating cylindrical lens. This kind of optical system can be widely used in top-view optical searching devices. A design method was introduced and the optimization results analyzed in detail. The results showed that the Zernike aberrations produced by the conformal dome were decreased dramatically. Also, a complete conformal optical system was designed, to further illustrate the aberration correction effect of the rotating cylindrical lens. Using a cylindrical lens not only provided a large FOR, but also simplified enormously the structure of the conformal optical system.

According to the use of distribution automation systems, the function to find or to search a fault phase is necessary for automatic switches in a distribution substation. In this paper, two algorithms are developed to fine the fault circuit and the fault phase for the automatic switches in substation with ungrounded power system. One is the fault circuit searching method using the zero sequence voltage at the bus and zero sequence current of circuit current and the other is to find the fault phase using the line voltage and zero sequence current. The developed algorithms are tested in the case study simulations. An ungrounded power system is modeled by EMTP as a case study system. The developed algorithms are tested in the case study simulations and each shows correct results.

The introduction of materials and methods of construction which are appropriated to property of green roofs could be a decisive factor in a long-range durability and economical maintenance cost, moreover, it support to variety construction system and organization. In this paper I focused to assure the basic system for waterproofing materials and root barrier apply to green roof as searching the application of field condition. And I suggest proper waterproofing and root barrier as considering the mutual connection and plant growth. and it can be a standard model to adopt to domestic green roof system.

The research aims to provide information about the most applicable education-method by assessing learner's objective and condition, and also by searching case studies. Even though education system is introduced in various web-sites, questions about which system being most appropriate for the learner has not been answered. Therefore, instead of only providing education contents, this research paper is to create a system that contains information about academic contents, education templates, reuse of abundant educational resources and an education system specified based on the level of the learner.

PMS(Plant Monitoring System) for simulation is the program for training that users such as instructor, operator, and supervisor can operate the plant virtually. Presented in this paper, are some lessons learned from implementation of PMS for simulation. First, this PMS fer simulation is based on LINUX instead of UNIX. These two OS(Operating System) have different platform and compiler version on it, so debugging needs to be done about variable defining part. Second, In LINUX system, the size of shared memory and message queue is already designated as a default value that user has to set up and use the RTAP DB. Third, to decrease the dummy data size, it has to be changed into binary formation. Lastly, PMS software for simulation provides several environments according to the command, so considered should be status monitoring, alarm, system organization, point and group monitoring, history storage and searching function.

This study is about implementing an job matching web service system based on the Job seeker's company assessment model proposed by the researchers. Basically, the Job seekers' company assessment model is based on the concept that each job seeker can evaluate the recruitment company candidates using job seekers's own major consideration factors. Using the implemented information system, each job seeker's main considerations in job searching process are evaluated and stored and compared to those of other job seekers' or groups' characterized by sex, job experience residential area and etc. by finding out and listing up the companies in the order of the preference of job seeker own or belonging groups, job seekers can be helped to find suitable companies which fit well to themselves.

As important ecological systems, wetlands contribute a wide array of biological, social. and economic benefits. However, wetlands are lost until the present, primarily due to human induced land-use conversions. Society is placing demands for the efficient preservation and management on Woopo wetland as the first largest wetland in Korea. GIS(Geographic Information System) is a rapidly developing technology for handling, analyzing, and modeling ecological information on wetlands. In the paper, Woopo Wetland Management System has been developed by using Desktop GIS and Internet GIS technology to embrace major functions: information query and browsing, spatial searching on map, and rule-based analysis. As a menu-driven system, these functions are designed to be implemented through customized menus. The developed system is expected to be used for the effective publicity service as well as the professional management of Woopo.
