  • Railway safety aims to ensure that railways take appropriate action to limit the risk of injury to persons or damage to property, to acceptable levels. Accreditation system specifies railway safety requirements to be included in a railway safety management system by any organization seeking to demonstrate the ability to control the processes that determine the acceptability of railway safety activities. The objective of this research is to investigate the international accreditation system for railway safety management. The yield information is quite valuable to operate collaborative processes with all interfacing transport operators and undertakings to facilitate risk control across the railway system.

  • This paper presents the safety management model, which is appropriate for small-to-medium enterprises that rank the highest disaster rate. It is required for these companies to modify and improve the safety-related articles and it is performed to compare and analyze the industrial disasters and safety management systems between large enterprises and small-to-medium enterprises. The basic direction of change of industrial safety healthy system must be classified to the dual direction. For large enterprises, it is focused on not pre-regulations but post-regulations based on the self-control safety management system. But for small-to-medium enterprises, it is required to intensify the safety management system and the safety responsibility for owners or administrators. Specially, the responsibility for disaster must be more strengthened by the penalty and the insurance method, and then it must be performed not only the financial support of government but also middle and long-term technical support by private safety organizations.

  • With the development of CNC(Computer Numerical Control) and communication technology, the connotation and functions of Distributed Numerical Control have been greatly enlarged. In this study, we develop and implement a Distributed Numerical Control system that has real time and multi-tasking operation capability for the machining cell with various NC(Numerical Control) and CNC machines. With the consideration of economy, generalization and extension, this system is interfaced with Shop Floor Control System, Machine Control System and Tool Preparation System using advanced networking method. In the implementation phase, we use the ORACLE DBMS (Database Management System) as the DBMS and Microsoft Visual C++ as the programming tools.

  • In an automated industry PLC plays a central role to control the automation system. Therefore, fault free operation of PLC controlled automation system is essential in order to maximize a firm's productivity. A prior test of control system is a practical way to check fault operations, but it is a time consuming job and can not check all possible fault operation. A formal verification of PLC program could be a best way to check all possible fault situation. Tracing the history of the study on formal verification, we found three problems, the first is that a formal representation of PLC control system is incomplete, the second is a state explosion problem and the third is that the verification result is difficult to use for the correction of control program. In this paper, we propose a transformation method to reproduce the control system correctly in formal model and efficient procedure to verify and correct the control program using verification result. To demonstrate the proposed method, we provided a suitable case study of an automation system.

  • The smoke and toxic gases generated from the building fires are proved to cause human death. Therefore, the necessity and significance of smoke control have been emphasized, and lots of studies for developing improved smoke management system have been carried out. In this study, the experiments were conducted to evaluated a function and performance in newly developed smoke management system using mechanical pressurization. As a result of this experiment, the differential pressure was 40Pa${\sim}$60Pa and the air velocity through the door was 0.7m/s between safety zone and fire zone. The functional pressure control equipment which could make proper pressure and maintain differential pressure between safety zone and fire zone was developed. And it will give a lot of helps to evacuation activity for peoples in building and fire fighting.

  • Railway signaling systems are so vital to ensure the safe operation of railroad and the assurance and demonstration of the safety is so important. The safety management process shall consist of a number of phases and activities, which are linked to form the safety life-cycle. The basic processes of safety management and safety activity throughout the lifecycle are 'risk analysis' and 'hazard control'. The safety managements and activities for the two kinds of aspects are implemented throughout the whole steps of system lifecycle. The risk analyses and hazard controls like those are needed, these activities have to be carried out through the whole of system lifecycle.

  • The incidents related to transporting hazardous materials may cause serious impacts on neighborhood and surrounding areas. It is essential to have a real-time safe management system for incidents prevention of transporting hazardous materials. Currently, the system is not integrated into one channel, which makes it difficult to control an incidents response. Another problem is that event status is not appropriately shared among authorities having responsibilities taking down the incidents. This paper investigates previous studies covering the real-time safety management system for hazard material transports and suggests an integrated management system that helps communicate effectively and promptly.

That it is a foundation by fire, power failure, blast, spill of toxicant huge by large size accident human and physical loss and damage because it can bring this efficient, connect with each kind mechanical, physical thing to prevent usefully need that control finding achievement factor of human factor of human action. Large size accident in a semiconductor industry to machine and human and it is involved that present, in system by safety interlock defect of machine is conclusion for error of behaviour. What is not construing in this study, do safety in a semiconductor industry to do improvement. Control human error analyzes in human control with and considers mechanical element and several elements. Also, apply achievement factor using O'conner Model by control method of human error. In analyze by failure mode effect using actuality example.

  • Process control and autonomous safety control by applying PSM(Process Safety Management) method using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and to development of PSIM(Process Safety Information Management) evaluation method in the construction. The reason why PSIM method should be quantitative and substantial progress is because it contributes Korean constructing companies to enhancing their safety control ability and to taking an equal stance just like developed countries, thereby strengthening their competitive edges.
