A study on the implementation of closed-loop system using the stepper motor back-EMF (스텝모터 역기전력을 이용한 폐루프 시스템 구현에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the control technique of the stepping motor using back electromotive force(B-EMF) without encoder is investigated. The stepping motor generally uses the rotary encoder to detect the rotor position. Since this method increases the cost and the motor configuration size, the new closed-loop control method applied for the B-EMF was implemented by using current detect circuit, AD-converter, and micro controller unit(MCU). The control loop of stepping motor became very simplified. The current change of stepping motor measured by the amplifier was measured and analyzed, when the missing step is occurred. Based on the data from current feedback, position errors were compensated and confirmed by using AD-converter.

A Study on the Closing Force according to the Opening Angle of the Door in the Smoke Control System (제연구역 출입문 개방 각도에 따른 폐쇄력에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the experiment was conducted on a fire door(W × H = 0.98 m × 2.19 m) installed on the vestibule. The effective leakage area for each opening angles and closing forces derived from the impulse-momentum equation was compared and analyzed with the experimental results. As a result of the experiment, the major factors affecting the door closing forces were the pressure difference and the area of the door. The difference of door closing forces between measured and calculated values by the impulse-momentum equation showed a deviation of less than ±15% at the opening angles of 5°to 10°. At the door opening angle of 2.5°, the dynamic pressure was much higher than the measured static pressure, and this pressure difference is estimated to be air resistance acting to prevent the door from being completely closed.

  • Purpose: This study is to seek the introduction of big data and AI technologies to strengthen the safety of local festivals, and to present legal application measures to effectively realize them. Method: diagnose the current status of the legal system related to the safety of local festivals through literature review, case analysis, and examination of legal systems, and to propose safety management measures based on big data and AI, as well as related legal improvement measures that can effectively support these initiatives. Result: Local festival safety-related laws have different purposes and regulations, and it has been confirmed that there are many difficulties for organizers to comply and apply them in an integrated manner. In particular, a clear legal basis is required for the introduction of big data and AI technologies, and it is important to establish a consistent safety management operating system through an integrated legal system. Conclusion: In order to introduce big data and AI technologies to local festivals and enhance safety, the following legal improvements are necessary: first, the establishment of an integrated legal system; second, the mandatory allocation of safety management costs; and third, the establishment and operation of an integrated control center.

  • The paper proposes the misuse types of statistical quality tools according to the kind of data and the number of population in DMAIC process of six sigma. The result presented in this paper can be extended to the QC story 15 steps of QC circle. The study also provides the improvement methods about control chart, measurement system analysis, statistical difference, and practical equivalence.

  • EPC seeks to minimize variability by transferring the output variable to a related process input(controllable) variable, while SPC seeks to reduce variability by detecting and eliminating assignable causes of variation. In the case of product control, a very reasonable objective is to try to minimize the variance of the output deviations from the target or set point. We consider an alternative EPC model with second-order autoregressive disturbance. We compare three control systems; EPC, EPC combined with EWMA. This paper shows through simulation that tlhe performance of the integrated model of EPC and EWMA is more preferable than that of EPC.

  • In this research, the system is assumed to carry a single item of which the demand types vary. Demand type is defined as a management's classification of the item according to the demand source or to the service purpose. The purpose of this research is to find the optimal inventory control policy when the system carries a single item which consists of multiple demand types. In this research, the optimizing algorithm contains a heuristic, therefore, the optimal Is not guaranteed by the algorithm. At least, this research provides the solution to the problems that have not been solved by the existing algorithms.

  • The automotive industry and academic research have been continuously conducting research on standardization such as AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) and ISO26262 to solve problems such as safety and efficiency caused by the complexity of electric/electronic architecture of automotive. AUTOSAR is an automotive standard software platform that has a layered structure independent of MCU (Micro Controller Unit) hardware, and improves product reliability through software modularity and reusability. And, ISO26262, an international standard for automotive functional safety and suggests a method to minimize errors in automotive ECU (Electronic Control Unit)s by defining the development process and results for the entire life cycle of automotive electrical/electronic systems. These design methods are variously applied in representative automotive safety-critical systems. However, since the functional and safety requirements are different according to the characteristics of the safety-critical system, it is essential to research the AUTOSAR functional safety design method specialized for each application domain. In this paper, a software functional safety mechanism design method using AUTOSAR is proposed, and a new failure management framework is proposed to ensure the high reliability of the product. The AUTOSAR functional safety mechanism consists of memory partitioning protection, timing monitoring protection, and end-to-end protection. The fault management framework is composed of several safety SWCs to maintain the minimum function and performance even if a fault occurs during the operation of a safety-critical system. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the Shift-by-Wire system design to prove the validity of the proposed method.

Development of CBTC Car-borne Software with Model-Based Design and Its Applications (모델기반 설계를 통한 CBTC 차상장치 소프트웨어 개발 및 적용)

  • CBTC(Communication Based Train Control) car-borne equipment, a part of the communication based train control system, mainly consists of automatic train protection(ATP) functions, automatic train operation(ATO) functions as well as the interface functions with other equipment including CBTC wayside equipment and train control management system etc. The CBTC car-borne software implementing ATP/ATO functions is a real-time embedded software requiring a high level of safety and reliability. To satisfy the requirements of the CBTC car-borne software, the model-based design techniques are applied with SCADE(Safety-Critical Application Development Environment) to the development of the CBTC car-borne software. In this paper, we illustrate the process modeling the car-borne ATP/ATO functions satisfying system requirement specification with system requirement management, modeling and document generation tools etc. supported by SCADE. In addition, the developed models corresponding to the ATP/ATO functions are applied to the train with CBTC car-borne equipment through its corresponding EN-50128 standards-compliant C code generated by the code generator. It is shown from the test result that the ATP/ATO models developed by SCADE work well while the trains are running in driverless operation mode.

  • The objective of this was to improve a transportation cost relation between Central Distribution Centers(CDCs) and Regional Distribution Centers(RDCs), to control inventory cost concerning safety stock for each service level, by reviewing distribution steps connecting CDCs and RDCs under the price discount. It was also to examine and compare operating costs for the following two alternative suggestions for setting the service standard as a counter measure for a stock-out of the distribution network system management. First, provision by dispersing the safety stock to the CDCs and RDCs; and second, exclusive provision of the safety stock only to the RDCs. The cost comparison analysis was made for each category of purchase costs, regular transportation costs, express transportation costs, and inventory holding costs.
