HOMOLOGY AND SERRE CLASS IN D(R)

  • Let 𝓢 be a Serre class in the category of modules and 𝖆 an ideal of a commutative Noetherian ring R. We study the containment of Tor modules, Koszul homology and local homology in 𝓢 from below. With these results at our disposal, by specializing the Serre class to be Noetherian or zero, a handful of conclusions on Noetherianness and vanishing of the foregoing homology theories are obtained. We also determine when TorR𝓼+t(R/𝖆, X) ≅ TorR𝓼(R/𝖆, H𝖆t(X)).

  • In this paper, our focus lies in exploring the concept of Cohen-Macaulay dimension within the category of homologically finite complexes. We prove that over a local ring (R, 𝔪), any homologically finite complex X with a finite Cohen-Macaulay dimension possesses a finite CM-resolution. This means that there exists a bounded complex G of finitely generated R-modules, such that G is isomorphic to X and each nonzero Gi within the complex G has zero Cohen-Macaulay dimension.

  • Let R be a ring and $\mathcal{Q}$ be a quiver. In this paper we give another definition of purity in the category of quiver representations. Under such definition we prove that the class of all pure injective representations of $\mathcal{Q}$ by R-modules is preenveloping. In case $\mathcal{Q}$ is a left rooted semi-co-barren quiver and R is left Noetherian, we show that every cotorsion flat representation of $\mathcal{Q}$ is pure injective. If, furthermore, R is $n$-perfect and $\mathcal{F}$ is a flat representation $\mathcal{Q}$, then the pure injective dimension of $\mathcal{F}$ is at most $n$.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with 1, and A a unitary commutative R-algebra. By a derivation module of A, we mean a pair (M, d), where M is an A-module and d: A.rarw.M and R-derivation, i.e., d is an R-linear mapping such that d(ab)=a)db)+b(da). A derivation module homomorphism f:(M,d).rarw.(N, .delta.) is an A-homomorphism f:M.rarw.N such that f.d=.delta.. A derivation module of A, (U, d), there exists a unique derivation module homomorphism f:(U, d).rarw.(M,.delta.). In fact, a universal derivation module of A exists in the category of derivation modules of A, and is unique up to unique derivation module isomorphisms [2, pp. 101]. When (U,d) is a universal derivation module of R-algebra A, the A-module U is denoted by U(A/R). For out convenience, U(A/R) will also be called a universal derivation module of A, and d the R-derivation corresponding to U(A/R).

  • One or two-dimensional nanostructures such as nanowires or nanomats have been widely uses as building blocks for nanoscale electronic devices. Nanofiber is one of sub-category of nano structures, it is easy to make nano-sized fiber by electrospinning technique. Nanofiber has large surface area as compared with their volume, it could be widely applied to many areas easily. Electrospinning technique is easy to control their structures and morphology safely and cost-effectively. We made nano-rings as a model of one dimensional nanostructures by electrospinning technique. To our knowledge, there were no reports on the preparation and investigation of alumina nano-rings by electrospinning technique. In this study, aluminum oxide nano-rings were produced after electospinning and calcination. The synthesized aluminum oxide nano-rings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to identify the morphology and the diameter of the ring, X-ray diffraction (XRD) to verify the crystallinity of the aluminum oxide, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) for investigation of the chemical nature of the synthesized nano-rings.

  • Let M be a fixed left R-module. For a left R-module X, we introduce the notion of M-prime (resp. M-semiprime) submodule of X such that in the case M=R, it coincides with prime (resp. semiprime) submodule of X. Other concepts encountered in the general theory are M-$m$-system sets, M-$n$-system sets, M-prime radical and M-Baer's lower nilradical of modules. Relationships between these concepts and basic properties are established. In particular, we identify certain submodules of M, called "primeM-ideals", that play a role analogous to that of prime (two-sided) ideals in the ring R. Using this definition, we show that if M satisfies condition H (defined later) and $Hom_R(M,X){\neq}0$ for all modules X in the category ${\sigma}[M]$, then there is a one-to-one correspondence between isomorphism classes of indecomposable M-injective modules in ${\sigma}[M]$ and prime M-ideals of M. Also, we investigate the prime M-ideals, M-prime submodules and M-prime radical of Artinian modules.

Evaluation of exposure to ionizing radiation of medical staff performing procedures with glucose labeled with radioactive fluorine - 18F-FDG

  • Employees of nuclear medicine facilities performing medical procedures with the use of open radioactive sources require continuous detailed control of exposure to ionizing radiation. Thermoluminescent (TL) detectors placed in dosimeters: for the whole body, for lenses, ring and wrist dosimeters were used to assess exposure. The highest whole-body exposure of (1.70 ± 1.09) µSv/GBq was recorded in nurses administering radiopharmaceutical to patients. The highest exposure to lenses and fingers was recorded for employees of the quality control zone and it was (8.08 ± 2.84) µSv/GBq and a maximum of (1261.46 ± 338.93) µSv/GBq, respectively. Workers in the production zone received the highest doses on their hands, i.e. (175.67 ± 13.25) µSv/GBq. The measurements performed showed that the analyzed workers may be classified as exposure category A. Wrist dosimeters are not recommended for use in isotope laboratories due to underestimation of ionizing radiation doses. Appropriately selected shields, which significantly reduce the dose received by employees, must be used in isotope laboratories. Periodic measurements confirmed that the appropriate optimization of exposure reduces the radiation doses received by employees.

The Influence of Land Use on the Concentration Levels and Distribution Characteristics of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Korea (국내 토지이용도별 토양 중 다환방향족탄화수소류(PAHs)의 농도 수준 및 분포 특성)

  • We investigated soil contamination depending on the land use by examining the contamination levels and distribution characteristics of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the national soil. Total PAHs (the sum of 16 PAH concentrations) and carcinogenic PAHs (the sum of seven carcinogenic PAH concentrations) were $8.50{\sim}3,437.16{\mu}g/kg$ and $2.94{\sim}2,136.96{\mu}g/kg$, respectively. The concentration of benzo(a)pyrene, one of the contaminants regulated by the soil quality standard in the nation, was $ND{\sim}924.73{\mu}g/kg$. Its maximum value of $924.73{\mu}g/kg$ was detected in railroad (Region 3) and is approximately 13% of the standard value for Region 3 (i.e., 7 mg/kg). We also investigated the characteristics of contamination sources of PAHs in soil of the upland, forests, roads, and railroads, examining the fraction distribution of PAHs concentration by the number of benzene rings against the total PAHs concentration. The results demonstrate that the mean fraction of 4~6-ring PAHs against total PAHs concentration in soil was in the range of 51.8~80.7% with relative abundance of high-molecular PAHs, showing that the origin of contamination is under the category of combustion sources. When the molecular indices (Flu/(Flu/Pyr), Ant/(Ant+Phe), InP/(InP+BP), and BaA/(BaA+Chr)) were applied, they were also categorized as petroleum-based combustion sources. The individual PAH concentrations in soil by the land use were grouped into Regions 1, 2, and 3, which are statistically treated and are the parts of the national category system of soil quality standard. As a result, the concentration level of 16 PAHs was $0.02{\sim}2.63{\mu}g/kg$ in Region 1, $0.05{\sim}4.26{\mu}g/kg$ in Region 2, and $2.36{\sim}178.27{\mu}g/kg$ in Region 3. The concentration level of 6 carcinogenic PAHs was 14.2~320.4% against that of benzo(a)pyrene in Region 3 and sites of recycling waste sleepers. Considering that there were similarities among PAHs in terms of structures and toxicities, it would be recommended to review other types of carcinogenic PAHs together with benzo(a)pyrene when developing the soil quality standards in the nation.

Clothing Management System Using the Smart Hanger Embedded RFID (RFID가 내장된 스마트 옷걸이를 이용한 의류 관리 시스템)

  • In this paper, we proposed the clothing management system using the smart hanger. Proposed system consists of smart hanger, base module, and server, and the smart hanger consists of MCU, LED, RFID reader, RF chip, ring sensor, and battery. The smart hanger reads the RFID tag attached to the clothes and wirelessly transmitted to the server. The server associated base module communicates with the smart hanger and transmits information to the server. The server manages clothing through the DB, and can display various information through the web page and the smart phone. In order to verify the usefulness of the proposed system, we did experiment with the management system for clothing store and laundry where using a lot of hangers. Performance tests of the smart hanger are applied to check the current consumption and can be predicted the battery life with the proposed low power algorithm. The clothing store management system can be increased sales and convenience of the consumer. The laundry management system can be increased the efficiency of laundry category and convenience of the consumer.

Take advantage of log data of local system that this treatise is not analysis of server log data and analyze user's Preference degree and inclination. Also, try to propose advertisement system personalized by making relevant site tributary category and give weight of relevant tributary. User's preference user preference which analysis is one part of cooperation fielder ring of web personalized techniques use information in visit site tributary and suppose internet user's action in visit number of times of relevant site and try inclination analysis of mixing form. Express user's preference degree by vector, and inclination analysis result uninterrupted data that simplicity application form is not regarded and techniques that propose inclination analysis change of data since with move data use and analyze newly and proposed so that can do continuous renewal and application as feedback Sikkim. Presented method that can choose advertisements of relevant tributary through this result and provide personalized advertisement service by applying process such as user inclination analysis in advertisement chosen.
