The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of early childhood science for sustainable development to solve these problems and to contribute to the harmony of nature and human beings. In order to accomplish this research objectives, 18 experts and 15 teachers were interviewed on the meaning of sustainable development and the directions of early childhood science education for sustainable development. Early childhood science education for sustainable development was categorized as follows. 'Mutual respect between child-teacher-organism', 'developing individual inquiry-based on community consciousness', 'looking at the world with child's eyes', 'deepening and expanding on topics of interest', 'continuous inquiry and commitment', 'conversation and sharing-centered exploration'. By these results, it was concluded that early childhood science education for sustainable development should start from the perspective of children, and was a meaningful process in which children constantly learn about the nature surrounding themselves based on mutual respect.

  • As the development of information technology, the biggest change in educational paradigm is apparent in the shift that the emphasis of education is layed on from teachers to learners. E-learning education service through the internet is less restricted in the respect of time and places in comparison with off-line education. Therefore e-Learning is spreaded rapidly and the educational effectiveness of that is needed to be investigated. In this study theoretical research was performed firstly and framework of the study was constructed. After establishment of hypotheses the survey data were collected by the learners of e-Learning and the hypotheses were verified by the SPSS version 12.0. The results are as follows : First, the quality of e-Learning service influences significantly to the technology acceptance of users. Secondly, perceived usability and perceived easiness of technology acceptance model influences significantly to the intention of reuse of users of e-Learning services. Lastly, the playfulness of the Flow theory influences significantly to the intention of reuse of users of e-Learning services. Although there are some limitations in the respect of the numbers of variables, parameters, or samples, this study will contribute for enhancing the effectiveness of education in e-Learning service by providing the acceptance factors of e-learners.

Methods: This study was analyzed using data from the Korea youth risk behavior web-based survey in 2017. A total of 62,276 adolescents participated. The collected data was analyzed using the chi-square test, and logistic regression using SPSS, version 21.0. Results: Among the general factors related to oral health education in schools, male students experienced 1.14 times more oral health education in schools compared to female students, and middle school students experienced 1.81 times more oral health education than other students (p<0.001). With respect to oral health status, the groups without tooth fractures, pain during mastication, or gum pain and bleeding experienced 1.18 times, 0.95 times, and 1.03 times more oral health education in schools, respectively, compared to the group with complaints (p<0.001)(p<0.05). With respect to oral heath behavior, the group that brushed after lunch 'sometimes' during the last seven days received 1.43 times more oral health education compared to the group that 'always'brushed after lunch. Conclusions: It is necessary to supplement, extend, and strengthen oral health education programs in schools as well as motivate and recognize such programs.

  • Objective: This study examined the change of informal labeling self-respect, depression/anxiety, and aggression of adolescents over time and relationship between the intercept and the growth of the variables. Method: 4-year longitudinal panel data(n=2,699), Korea Youth Panel Survey (KYPS), were analyzed to verify the influence of informal labeling on self-respect, depression/anxiety, and aggression of adolescents. Through latent growth modeling, temporal change of the variables was examined. Results: Analytic results are as follow. First, the initial status of informal labeling had a negative impact on the initial status of self-respect. The slope of informal labeling also had a negative impact on the slope of self-respect. In contrast, the initial status of informal labeling did not have an significant impact on the slope of self-respect. Second, the initial status of informal labeling had a positive impact on the initial status of aggression. The slope of informal labeling had a negative impact on the slope of aggression. In contrast, the initial status of informal labeling did not have an significant impact on the slope of aggression. Third, the initial status of informal labeling had a positive impact on the initial status of depression/anxiety and a negative impact on the slope of depression/anxiety. The slope of informal labeling had a positive impact on the slope of self-respect. Conclusions: The results suggest the importance of informal labeling on self-respect, depression/anxiety, and aggression of adolescents.

A multi-oriented types were the most popular among those. Second, the overall level of self-respect was above the median, but the life satisfaction level was below the median. Third, there was difference in their self-respect level according to the learning motive types. One attitude, which was most pervasive(903.1 percent agreeing) was that it is important for sailors to receive AIDS education as a part of social education classes. In attitudes , there was statistical significance by age group, marital statistical signifiacance by age group , marital status, and educational level. With respect to sailor's preventive behaviors about AIDS, the mean score was 7.1 out of a possible maximum score of 9.0.
