  • Let ø and A be denoted by the structure tensor field of type (1,1) and by the shape operator of a real hypersurface in a complex space form $M_{n}$ (c), c $\neq$ 0 respectively. The main purpose of this paper is to prove that if a real hypersurface in $M_{n}$ (c) satisfies $R_{ξ}$ øA = $AøR_{ξ}$, then the structure vector field ξ is principal, where $R_{ξ}$ / is the Jacobi operator with respect to ξ.

  • Let M be a real hypersurface with almost contact metric structure $({\phi},{\xi},{\eta},g)$ of a nonflat complex space form whose structure Jacobi operator $R_{\xi}=R({\cdot},{\xi}){\xi}$ is ${\xi}$-parallel. In this paper, we prove that the condition ${\nabla}_{\xi}R_{\xi}=0$ characterize the homogeneous real hypersurfaces of type A in a complex projective space $P_n{\mathbb{C}}$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_n{\mathbb{C}}$ when $g({\nabla}_{\xi}{\xi},{\nabla}_{\xi}{\xi})$ is constant.

  • A hybrid structural reliability analysis method that integrates a commercial finite element program and a reliability analysis algorithm is proposed to estimate the safety of real structures in this paper. Since finite element method (FEM) is most commonly and widely used in the analysis and design practice of real structures, it appears to be necessary to use general FEM program in the structural reliability analysis. In this case, simple conventional reliability methods cannot be used because the limit state function can only be expressed in an algorithmic form. The response surface method(RSM)-based reliability algorithm with the first-order reliability method (FORM) found to be ideal in this respect and is used in this paper. The intention of use of RSM is to develop, albeit approximately, an explicit expression of the limit state function for real structures. The applicability of the proposed method to real structures is examined with help of the example in consideration of a concrete dam. Both the strength and serviceability limit states are considered in this example.

  • We know that there are no real hypersurfaces with parallel Ricci tensor or parallel structure Jacobi operator in a nonflat complex space form (See [4], [6], [10] and [11]). In this paper we investigate real hypersurfaces M in a nonflat complex space form $M_n(c)$ under the condition that ${\nabla}_{\varepsilon}S=0\;and\;{\nabla}_{\varepsilon}R_{\varepsilon}=0,\;where\;S\;and\;R_{\varepsilon}$ respectively denote the Ricci tensor and the structure Jacobi operator of M in $M_n(c)$.

  • In this paper, we construct a Sasakian manifold by the product of real line and Kählerian manifold with exact Kähler form. This result demonstrates the close relation between Sasakian and Kählerian manifold with exact Kähler form. We present an example and an open problem.

  • In this paper, we prove two characterization theorems for real half lightlike submanifold (M,g,S(TM)) of an indefinite Kaehler manifold $\bar{M}$ or an indefinite complex space form $\bar{M}$(c) subject to the conditions : (a) M is totally umbilical in $\bar{M}$, or (b) its screen distribution S(TM) is totally umbilical in M.

  • In this paper, we investigate k-Ricci curvature and k-scalar curvature on lightlike hypersurfaces of a real space form ${\tilde{M}}$(c) of constant sectional curvature c, endowed with semi-symmetric non-metric connection. Using this curvatures, we establish some inequalities for screen homothetic lightlike hypersurface of a real space form ${\tilde{M}}$(c) of constant sectional curvature c, endowed with semi-symmetric non-metric connection. Using these inequalities, we obtain some characterizations for such hypersurfaces. Considering the equality case, we obtain some results.

  • Pseudo-parallel real hypersurfaces in complex space forms can be defined as an extrinsic analogues of pseudo-symmetric real hypersurfaces, that generalize the notion of semi-symmetric real hypersurface. In this paper a classification of the pseudo-parallel real hypersurfaces in a non-flat complex space forms is obtained.

  • The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of Lie recurrent structure Jacobi operator for real hypersurfaces in non-flat complex space forms and to study such real hypersurfaces. More precisely, the non-existence of such real hypersurfaces is proved.
