  • In 3rd-generation mobile communication systems providing packet service, optimal scheduling algorithms we needed to increase service efficiency. In this paper, three scheduling algorithms (SP, EDF, and RPQ) which have been studied in the field of computer networks are applied with transmit power constraint to an interference-limited CDMA system, proving to be efficient.

  • This paper proposes assessment of quality management activities based on cost of quality. Cost of quality is considered prevention cost, appraisal cost, internal failure cost, external failure cost in this paper. This paper shows quality cost magement system in thermal power site devision according to activity analysis. Cost of quality in power industries provides a valuable method of both proving the need for improvement and giving a starting point for projects.

  • 원숭이와 바나나 문제는 논리적 추론에 의한 문제 해결 과정을 설명하기 위해 사용되는 대표적 예제이다. 본 논문에서는 전통적인 접근 방식과는 달리, 이 문제를 그래프 탈색의 그것으로 이해한 후 DNA 컴퓨팅에 근거한 너비 우선 탐색(breadth-first search, BFS)을 통해 해들을 발견하고자 한다. 그 결과, 최적해 (optimal solution)를 포함한 최소 4개 이상의 다양한 해들이 실제 DNA 생화학 실험을 통해 확인되었다.

  • A fungus associated with the leaf spot of German iris (Iris germanica) was identified as Cladosporium iridis based on the morphological characteristics of the condiophores and conidia. A conidial suspension of the fungus was artificially inoculated onto a healthy unwounded plant, proving its pathogenicity. This is the first record of this disease from Korea.

  • Let X and Y be n-dimensional Euclidean spaces with $n\;{\geq}\;3$. In this paper, we generalize a classical theorem of Bookman and Quarles by proving that if a mapping, from a half space of X into Y, preserves a distance $\rho$, then the restriction of f to a subset of the half space is an isometry.

  • By proving a summation formula, we enumerate the expansions for the mock theta functions of order 2 in terms of partial mock theta functions of order 2, 3 and 6. We show a relation between Ramanujan's ${\mu}(q)$-function and his sixth order mock theta functions. In addition, we also give the continued fraction representation for ${\mu}(q)$ and 2nd order mock theta functions and $Pad\acute{e}$ approximants.

  • In the present work, we investigate a viscoelastic equation involving a logarithmic nonlinear source term. After proving the existence of solutions, we establish a general decay estimate of the solution using energy estimates and theory of convex functions. This result extends and complements some previous results of [9, 21].

  • Mathematical induction is one of the deductive methods used for proving mathematical theorems, and also used as an inductive method for investigating and discovering patterns and mathematical formula. Proper understanding of the mathematical induction provides an understanding of deductive logic and inductive logic and helps the developments of algorithm and data science including artificial intelligence. We look at the origin of mathematical induction and its usage and educational aspects.

  • This paper defines Carlitz's type (p, q)-Genocchi polynomials and Carlitz's type (h, p, q)-Genocchi polynomials, and explains fourteen properties which can be complemented by Carlitz's type (p, q)-Genocchi polynomials and Carlitz's type (h, p, q)-Genocchi polynomials, including distribution relation, symmetric property, and property of complement. Also, it explores alternating powers sums by proving symmetric property related to Carlitz's type (p, q)-Genocchi polynomials.
