The study aimed to investigate the current status and policy issues of senior clubs, focusing on the senior employment programs in South Korea. The current status of senior clubs was reviewed based on their legal basis, organization, project type, finance, project performance, and operational difficulties(low revenue yields, high labor intensity and low wages, lack of funding, weakness in provision of a legal basis, etc.). The policy directions of such clubs were also defined as follows: (1) establishment of the role of senior clubs(a local senior center of job creation projects, an execution entity of business senior employment programs matching the regional characteristics, and a center for community change through the promotion of awareness of the problems of and related to the elderly and through empowerment of the elderly); (2) improvement of the quality of jobs(need-based and sustainable job creation, quality improvement in education, improvement of the elderly practitioners' working conditions, and collaboration and partnerships among the public-private sectors); and (3) legislation and amendment of senior employment programs.

In today's military, significant efforts are being made to achieve organizational effectiveness by adapting to the changing characteristics of its members. Currently, South Korea's military organizations, including division-level and below, are primarily composed of the MZ generation, which places great importance on personal satisfaction and values. They believe it is unfair if others do not acknowledge their preferences and opinions. Therefore, there is a need for the military to improve various command methods and organizational culture in line with the characteristics of these organizational members. This study analyzed the characteristics and key elements of mission command in the German military, a militarily advanced country. By examining the case of the German military, we should consider and adopt the adoption of a 'mission command' system that suits the reality of the South Korean military organization, with a focus on the MZ generation, which constitutes the core of our military organization.

This study aims to examine the cases of overseas experience programs centered around middle school students in South Korea and to derive implications for future overseas experience programs. To achieve this, data were systematically collected through search engines based on keywords, followed by comparative analysis. Frequency analysis, independent sample t-tests, and cross-analysis were conducted using SPSS 23. The research findings are as follows: First, the programs are operated nationwide, with a focus on smaller schools in various regions, and are particularly active in the Jeolla provinces. Diverse public funding, such as from the board of education and local governments, has been invested, categorizing operational costs into full financial coverage among others. The programs primarily took place in Southeast Asian countries close to South Korea. Second, the purposes of these middle school overseas experience programs largely encompass career exploration, cultural experiences, tourism, and sister school visits. We hope that school-based overseas career exploration programs are actively operated to provide opportunities for enhancing global competence and global citizenship, as well as exploring career paths.

This study aims to explore the psychological factors influencing the persuasive effect of virtual influencers, with a specific focus on the impact of social exclusion. Additionally, it examines the mediating effect of parasocial relationships on advertising effectiveness. To achieve these goals, the study conducted an experiment using a 2 (influencer type: human vs. virtual human) × 2 (social exclusion: social exclusion vs. social acceptance) between-group factorial design. The results revealed that consumers who experienced social exclusion exhibited more positive attitudes toward the influencer and the product, higher intentions to purchase the product, and a greater willingness to share or recommend it, especially when the influencer was a real human (vs. a virtual influencer). These moderating effects were found to be mediated by parasocial relationships.

In the global context, particularly in Christian nations, Christmas is considered a culturally and ethically significant time. In this study, we examine Charles Dickens' novel, "A Christmas Carol," and the celebration of Christmas in Korea. We explore the values of Christmas in Korea derived from the significance and importance of this novel. These values include repentance, empathy, compassion, and the importance of humanity. Korean Christmas is regarded as a time for practicing these values, bearing a message akin to the transformation of characters like Scrooge. Furthermore, "A Christmas Carol" conveys a message of improvement and change over time, emphasizing change and growth in Korean Christmas. People reflect on their past, correct their mistakes, nurture hope for the future, and experience personal growth and transformation. Additionally, the novel raises awareness of social injustice and inequality, offering alternatives. In Korean society, Christmas encourages the willingness to care for and help others, facilitating discussions and understanding of societal issues. For these reasons, "A Christmas Carol" is considered a culturally and ethically significant time in Korean Christmas, and the two are intertwined in various aspects. This study explores the interaction between cultural change and ethical teachings by 'A Christmas Carol' and investigates the impact of this work on Christmas culture and social change. It serves as the basis for emphasizing moral principles and humanity during the Christmas season, and this research provides suggestions for future research directions, aiming to deepen the understanding of Dickens' work and the importance of "A Christmas Carol." Through these efforts, it is expected that valuable insights into the connection between Christmas culture and moral messages will be gained. In this study, we will delve into the enduring appeal and cultural significance of "A Christmas Carol," discussing how this novel has evolved into a beloved holiday tradition and a true symbol of Christmas. We will also examine the adaptation of this novel into various media and its influence on holiday season celebrations. Insights into the impact of this novel on Korean society and its continued significance in modern times will be provided, suggesting a direction for a healthier and more desirable path for Korean society.

The quality certification for recycled aggregate is governed by the Construction Waste Recycling Promotion Act, overseen by the Ministry of Environment. The specific criteria for this certification are detailed in the Regulations on Quality Certification and Management of Recycled Aggregate, a mandate of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. These regulations were initially enacted on April 10, 2006, and have undergone a total of 16 revisions to date, the most recent being on December 23, 2021. This paper delves into the revision history of these pivotal regulations pertaining to quality certification over the past 17 years, with a particular focus on the latest revision, which encompasses significant changes, including those in follow-up management. This analysis aims to aid stakeholders in the recycled aggregate sector, including 402 certified companies, in comprehensively understanding the government's strategic direction for quality certification and to encourage the recycling of construction waste by bolstering the quality certification process.

Purpose: Recent studies have focused on policies aimed at supporting the independence of individuals with disabilities in communities. As part of this initiative, supportive housing, integrated care, and residential spaces offer tailored services based on individual needs and autonomy. The attitudes and knowledge of the administrators supporting supportive housing residents regarding health management can influence the well-being of individuals with disabilities. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the challenges faced by supporting housing workers in enhancing the self-management skills of individuals with disabilities. Methods: In this qualitative study, focus group interviews were conducted in August 2023 with nine administrators working to support housing in Seoul. Qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the interview data. Results: The needs and challenges in enhancing the self-management skills of individuals with disabilities were as follows: (1) the complexity of health management challenges, (2) bidirectional strategies for strengthening health management capabilities, and (3) support for systematic health management. Additionally, eight subthemes were derived. Conclusion: By investigating the difficulties experienced and identifying the necessary support requirements for supportive housing workers, this study seeks to uncover insights and identifies areas for improvement and strategies for health management. This study acknowledges the educational and institutional support necessary to improve the health and quality of life of individuals with disabilities residing in supportive housing.

Purpose - Focusing on the FGI research method, the current status and issues of barrier-free tourism in Gangwon State were identified, and specific activation plans were derived Design/methodology/approach - This study conducted in-depth interviews with 20 experts related to the tourism industry. The issues, current status, and activation plan of barrier-free tourism in Gangwon State recognized by experts in tourism policy, tourism administration, tourism management, and tourism service industry were derived. Findings - First, the tendency of businesses to be promoted based on the non-disabled by not recognizing the weak as the main tourism demand group, second, confusion caused by the unification of terms related to barrier-free tourism, third, lack of finding tourism constraints subdivided according to the type and degree of disability, fourth, tourism information and evaluation indicators provided by prioritizing the convenience of suppliers rather than consumers, and fifth, the nature of the project focused on improving access to physical infrastructure. Subsequently, the results of the analysis of the plan to revitalize the barrier-free tourism industry in Gangwon State were as follows. First, education and programs to improve disability awareness appropriate to local conditions were activated, second, related information was unified and project sustainability was improved by creating a control tower for the barrier-free tourism industry at the provincial level, third, to overcome the employment crisis based on finding locally tailored jobs related to tourism care professionals, and fourth, to continuously secure quantitative and qualitative data and establish utilization plans. Research implications or Originality - First, it presents theoretical implications for related fields by providing issues and activation measures related to barrier-free tourism from the perspective of experts who are still lacking in research in academia. The practical implications are that based on the opinions of experts working in the tourism field, more specific issues of the barrier-free tourism industry in the province were presented, and policy and practical solutions were presented accordingly, suggesting realistic alternatives that can be carried out in the actual field.

The purpose of the study was to find out the novice mothers' perceptions, experiences, and need on healthy pregnancy. For the research purpose, we conducted the focus group interview with 10 novice mothers who were pregnant of their first child or raising first child under 12 months old. The results of the study were as follows. First, novice mothers recognized 'healthy pregnancies' as 'physically healthy pregnancies for mothers and fetuses,' 'pregnancies where mothers were mentally healthy and happy,' and 'pregnancy planned and prepared with husband together.' Second, novice mothers experienced 'examination of obstetrics and gynecology,' 'management of health and daily life,' and 'preparation of realistic conditions' to prepare for pregnancy and childbirth. Third, difficulties during pregnancy were due to 'sickness and physical changes' and 'psychological and emotional changes.' Fourth, the needs on support for healthy pregnancy were 'pre-education on mental and physical changes caused by pregnancy' and 'support for pregnancy and counseling in advance.'

Due to global issues such as climate crisis and rising energy costs, there is an increasing focus on energy conservation and management. In the case of South Korea, approximately 53.5% of the total energy consumption comes from industrial complexes. In order to address this, we aimed to improve issues through the 'Shared Network Utility Plant' among companies using similar energy utilities to find energy-saving points. For effective energy conservation, various techniques are utilized, and stable data supply is crucial for the reliable operation of factories. Many anomaly detection and alert systems for checking the stability of data supply were dependent on Energy Management Systems (EMS), which had limitations. The construction of an EMS involves large-scale systems, making it difficult to implement in small factories with spatial and energy constraints. In this paper, we aim to overcome these challenges by constructing a data collection system and anomaly detection alert system on embedded devices that consume minimal space and power. We explore the possibilities of utilizing anomaly detection alert systems in typical institutions for data collection and study the construction process.
