  • Constructing an effective production control policy is the most important issue in wafer fabrication factories. Most of researches focus on the input regulations of wafer fabrication. Although many of these policies have been proven to be effective for wafer fabrication manufacturing, in practical, there is a need to help operators decide which lots should be pulled in the right time and to develop a systematic way to alleviate the long queues at the bottleneck workstation. The purpose of this study is to construct a photolithography workstation dispatching rule (PADR). This dispatching rule considers several characteristics of wafer fabrication and influential factors. Then utilize the weights and threshold values to design a hierarchical priority rule. A simulation model is also constructed to demonstrate the effect of the PADR dispatching rule. The PADR performs better in throughput, yield rate, and mean cycle time than FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and SPT (Shortest Process Time).

This study was conducted through review of literature related to agricultural workforce and young farmers. Opinions were collected from agricultural workforce staff of city and county extension center about role, development strategy of young farmers' workers. The total of 145 extension educators in charge of workforce section at Agricultural Extension Centers at city and county level participated in the study and 137 data were used for final analysis. The major findings from this study were as follows: 1) The strategy for the upbringing young farmers should be established by national and local governments. 2) The status for the young farmers' policy must be placed high er than present situation. 3) The systems and rules should be deregulated for the secure agricultural production base. 4) Agricultural income sources should be developed extensively by national and local governments.

  • Most networks for automation are tuned to an expected traffic condition ar their design stage. During their actual operations, however, the networks experience considerable changes in traffic from time to time. These traffic changes caused by common events like machine failure and production schedule change may adversely affect th network performance and, in turn , the performance of the connected devices. This paper presents experimental results for performance management of a Profibus-FMS network. The performance management aims to maintain a uniform level of network performance at all stations under changing network traffic. The performance management algorithm monitors the performance of individual network stations and commands the stations to change their timer values in order to have comparable performance at all stations. In order to determine the amount of timer change, the algorithm employs a set of fuzzy rules. The algorithm has been evaluated on a Profibus network.

The study is concerned with a practical means of systematic assistance to formability estimation and selection of reliable design specification for electronic sheet metal parts. The objective of this research work is to develop a simulation system which hops to analyze the target processes with the finite element method and to acquire available design data quickly and exactly. The simulation system developed in the study consists of design verification, selection of optimal combination of parameters, knowledge acquisition and graphical user interface(GUI). Design verification is automatically carried out by using the finite element method. A data base management system and nomograms are utilized for knowledge acquisition. The developed system has been applied to some major sheet metal forming operations such as flanging, embossing, bending and blanking. According to the simulated results, the validation of the target processes has been confirmend. Analysis data, estimation rules of formability and graphical representation of the analysis have been employed for the designer's understanding and evaluation, thus providing a practical means of robust design and evaluation of forma- bility for producing electronic sheet metal parts.

  • According to increase of the factory-automation's(FA) in the field of production, the autonomous guided vehicle's(AGV) role is also increased, The study about an active and effective controller which can flexibly prepare for the changeable circumstance is in progressed. For this study. the research about ac1ion base system to evolve by itself is also being actively considered In this paper. we composed an ac1ive and effective AGV fuzzy controller to be able to do self-organization, For composing it. we tuned suboptimally membership function using genetic algorithm(GA) and improved the control efficiency by the self-correction and generating the control rules. self-organizing controlled(SOC) fuzzy controller proposed in this paper is capable of Self-organizing by using the characteristics of fuzzy controller and genetic algorithm. It intuitionally controls AGV and easily adapts to the circumstance.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a process management system to manage ingot fabrication and improve ingot quality. The ingot is the first manufactured material of wafers. Trace parameters were collected on-line but measurement parameters were measured by sampling inspection. The quality parameters were applied to evaluate the quality. Therefore, preprocessing was necessary to extract useful information from the quality data. First, statistical methods were used for data generation. Then, modeling was performed, using the generated data, to improve the performance of the models. The function of the models is to predict the quality corresponding to control parameters. Secondly, rule extraction was performed to find the relation between the production quality and control conditions. The extracted rules can give important information concerning how to handle the process correctly. The dynamic polynomial neural network (DPNN) and decision tree were applied for data modeling and rule extraction, respectively, from the ingot fabrication data.

  • For companies assembling end products from sub assemblies or components, MRP (Material Requirement Planning) logic is frequently used to synchronize and pace the production activities for the required parts. However, in MRP, the planning of operational-level activities is left to short term scheduling. So, we need a good scheduling algorithm to generate feasible schedules taking into account shop floor characteristics and multi-level job structures used in MRP. In this paper, we present a GA (Genetic Algorithm) solution for this complex scheduling problem based on a new gene to reflect the machine assignment, operation sequences and the levels of the operations relative to final operation. The relative operation level is the control parameter that paces the completion timing of the components belonging to the same branch in the multi-level job hierarchy. In order to revise the fixed relative level which solutions are confined to, we apply large step transition in the first step and GA in the second step. We compare the genetic algorithm and 2-phase optimization with several dispatching rules in terms of tardiness for about forty modified standard job-shop problem instances.

  • We discuss the implementation of a compiler for an imperative programming language, using monad in Haskell. This compiler involves a recursive-descent parser conducting nondeterministic parsing, in which backtracking occurs to try with other rules when the application of a production rule fails to parse an input string. Haskell has some strong facilities for parsing. Its algebraic types represent abstract syntax trees in a smooth way, and program codes by monad parsing are so concise that they are highly readable and code size is reduced significantly, comparing with other languages. We also deal with the runtime environment of the assembler and code generation whose target is the Stack-Assembly language based on a stack machine.

  • Overlap Errors and side-lobes have been simultaneously solved by the rule-based correction using the rules extracted from test patterns. Lithography process parameters affecting attPSM lithography process have been determined by the fitting method to the real process data. The correction using scattering bars has been compared to the Cr shield method. The optimal insertion rule of the scattering bal's has made it possible to suppress the side-lobes and to enhance DOF at the same time. Therefore, in this paper, the solution to both side-lobe and overlap Error has been proposed using rule-based confection. Compared to the existing Cr shield method, the proposed rule-based correction with scattering bars can reduce the process complexity and time for mask production.
