Internet privacy is named as one of the major barriers to the expansion and further development of e-commerce. This study is to identify the antecedents to Internet privacy concerns, to investigate the relationship of the antecedents and the perceived trust and to validate Internet privacy's effect on the perceived trust. A conceptual model which identifies Internet literacy and perceived vulnerability as antecedents to Internet privacy concern is proposed and tested based on the sample of 276 Internet users. Empirical findings show that Internet literacy affect Internet privacy concern negatively while perceived vulnerability affect positively. Also perceived vulnerability's effect on and privacy concern's effect on perceived trust has both directional negative support. Implications and further research agenda are provided with the limitation of the study.
Recently, with an increase in Internet usage, users of online social networks (OSNs) have increased. Consequently, privacy leakage has become more serious. However, few studies have investigated the difference between privacy and actual behaviors. In particular, users' desire to change their privacy status is not supported by their privacy literacy. Presenting an accurate measurement of users' privacy status can cultivate the privacy literacy of users. However, the highly interactive nature of interpersonal communication on OSNs has promoted privacy to be viewed as a communal issue. As a large number of redundant users on social networks are unrelated to the user's privacy, existing algorithms are no longer applicable. To solve this problem, we propose a structural similarity measurement method suitable for the characteristics of social networks. The proposed method excludes redundant users and combines the attribute information to measure the privacy status of users. Using this approach, users can intuitively recognize their privacy status on OSNs. Experiments using real data show that our method can effectively and accurately help users improve their privacy disclosures.

In the digital era, information is a source of value creation. However, the growing importance of knowledge and information also increases risks and threats. When information is leaked, full recovery is difficult, and additional spreading of risk is high because it is easy to accomplish. Especially personal information is the main target due to its availability. Although individuals normally have to consent to the use of their personal information, they often do not know the use of their information. In such a difficult situation, one must exercise self-determination and privacy. Therefore, the goal of this study is to development a privacy literacy level measurement model for the proper exercise of the right to informational self-determination. It will be presented with the concept of privacy literacy index in order to determine the level of knowledge and understanding and practical application skills for individual. Through the index, we going to enhance the selection ability of information subject, and to promote the judgement and the determination capability for the protection and utilization of personal information.
Digital literacy is vital knowledge and ability of an individual in the information society. As the level of digital literacy increases, the interest in privacy protection increases. This change may hinder the use of digital technologies and services. This research examines (1) the mediating effect of online social participation and information veracity on smart device literacy and privacy concerns, and (2) the moderating effect of privacy literacy. Using Korean media panel survey data reported in 2020 and in 2021, this study analyzes the responses of 7,737 people who use smart devices and participate in online activities. SPSS and PROCESS Macro are used to test the research model and hypotheses. In the analysis of 2020 and 2021 survey, this research shows that smart device literacy has major effects on privacy concerns; confirms that the mediating effect of online social participation; moderated meditating effect of privacy literacy. Although information veracity is not significant in 2020, mediating and moderated mediating effects are found in 2021.

This study focuses on the antecedents to the privacy concerns and their influence on trust and online transaction intention. Based on previous exploratory works and the literature review of privacy concerns, four antecedents are identified-Internet literacy, social awareness, perceived vulnerability, and perceived ability to information control. Incorporating these antecedents, privacy concerns, trust and online transaction intention, a conceptual model is developed and seven research hypotheses are proposed for empirical testing. The proposed model is examined through structural equation analysis. The results show that Internet literacy, social awareness, and perceived vulnerability have statistically significant effect on the privacy concerns of users and the privacy concerns has a positive influence on the trust. Finally, the trust has a positive effect on the online transaction intention. Implications of these findings are discussed for both researchers and practitioners and future research issues are raised as well.
With emergence of smart technologies(e.g., smartphones), Location-Based Services(LBS) are expected to provide more enhanced values utilizing consumers' personal information than other smart services. However, in contrast to existing smartphone applications, LBS could raised severe consumer's privacy concerns because of rapidly changing information sensitive to consumers. In this context, the purpose of this study is to explore relationships among privacy concerns reduction, trust and intention to use LBS by examining the effect of precedence factors(social presence, reputation, mobile literacy, ability of information control) of privacy concern reduction. In addition, the study investigates the role of personal innovation as a moderating effect between privacy concern reduction and intention to use LBS. The results showed that the proposed precedence factors of privacy concerns with a exception of Mobile Literacy had a positive impact on privacy concerns reduction that then positively affected trust and intention to use LBS. In addition, the relationship between trust and intention to use LBS was significantly supported. Finally, personal innovation as a moderating effect significantly influenced the relationship between privacy concern reduction and intention to use LBS. This study is expected to be a reference for a subsequent study about the spread of LBS application of smartphone. Also, the finding of this study is meaningful for helping service direction to firms providing LBS.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to elucidate clinical nurses' ethics germane to information literacy and perception of patient data privacy and thus help nurses to develop more positive and consolidated ethical values. Methods: For this study a descriptive survey design was used. Participants were 142 nurses who worked in a hospital and completed self-report questionnaires. Data were collected from August 1 to 5, 2016 and were analyzed using independent t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS 22.0. Results: Ethical value had a positive correlation with information needs (r=.25, p=.002) in information literacy as well as in direct patient care (r=.27, p=.001), shift work (r=.20, p=.016), patient information management (r=.39, p<.001), and communication (r=.24, p=.004) in perception of patient data privacy. Patient information management, educational background, and age were significant variables predicting the level of ethical values and accounted for 21% of the variance. Conclusion: Ethical values education with particular emphasize on managing patient information should be encouraged for nurses who are younger and have a lower education level. Findings indicate a need for education programs to guide clinical nurses to utilize appropriate information when solving ethical challenges in every day nursing practice.

Sophisticated business intelligent software and personalized web services help collecting and mining huge amounts of personal information. This increase in digitalized personal information and advances in Internet technologies poses new challenges to consumers' information privacy. Based on the identified concept of information privacy concerns (IPC), this study additionally explores the interrelationships among consumers' individual characteristics(self-efficacy, digital literacy, customer alienation), customer satisfaction and intention to buy in e-commerce process. Academically, this study extends IPC to an empirical research model by identifying the conceptualization and organization of IPC. Moreover, practically, e-commerce providers can develop how to relieve IPC of online consumers.

The research conducted here focuses on the definition and organization of information privacy concerns in e-commerce process. Based on the identified concept of information privacy concerns(IPC), this study additionally explores the interrelationships among consumers' individual characteristics(self-efficacy, digital literacy, customer alienation), customer satisfaction and intention to buy. Through empirical model analysis, this study found that self-efficacy and digital literacy affect negatively IPC, while customer alienation has an positive effect on IPC. IPC affects positively customer satisfaction. Academically, this study extends IPC to an empirical research model by identifying the conceptualization and organization of IPC. Moreover, practically, e-commerce providers can develop how to relieve IPC of online consumers.
The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the effect of individual perception of artificial intelligence and the level of digital literacy on the acceptance of artificial intelligence-based public services. For empirical analysis, a research model was set up based on the technology acceptance model and planned behavior theory using survey data of 2017 and analyzed through structural equations. To summarize the results of the analysis, firstly, the positive perception of individuals about artificial intelligence technology plays a role in reinforcing attitudes toward benefits and reducing concerns about public service in which artificial intelligence technology has been introduced. Secondly, the level of digital literacy reinforces both benefits and concerns about artificial intelligence technology, but it was found that the intention to use public services was reinforced through the benefits of artificial intelligence technology perceived by individuals, rather than privacy concerns about artificial intelligence technology. Thirdly, it was confirmed that the perceived benefits of individuals on artificial intelligence technology reinforced the intention to use public civil services, and privacy concerns negatively influenced the intention to use. It was confirmed that the influence of a perceived ease of use and usefulness, as opposed to privacy concerns, further reinforces the intention to use. Both citizens' positive perceptions regarding the accuracy and reliability of information provided through artificial intelligence technology and institutional complementation of responsibility for errors caused by artificial intelligence technology are strengthened, and technical problems related to privacy protection are solved.
