  • This paper deals with dynamic optimal pricing for new products by a firm which maximizes the discounted profit stream of it's own in a duopoly. The problem is constructed as differential games and dynamic optimization theory. Cost is assumed to decline as time goes on. A modified customer's choice model is formulated as a diffusion model and we solve a dynamic optimization problem by adopting the diffusion model. Since this paper focus on deriving real prices not showing a time trend, we formulate recursive form equations of costate variables(shadow price) and a simultaneous equation of price. Hence we derive a dynamic optimal pricing model for using in real market. In particular, we construct a dynamic optimal pricing model in the case that there are benefits from not only new subscribers but also previous subscribers. We analyze instant camera market in U.S.A(1976-1985) by utilizing the above model.

  • The Swaption is one of the popular Interest rates derivatives. In spite of such a popularity, the swaption pricing formula is hard to derived within the theoretical consistency. Most of swaption pricing model are heavily depending on the simulation technique. We present a new class of swaption model based on the multi-factor HJM levy-mixture model. A key contribution of this paper is to provide a generalized swaption pricing formula encompassing many market stylize facts. We provide an approximated closed form solution of the swaption price using the Gram-Charlier expansion. Specifically, the solution form is similar to the market models, since our approximation is based on the Lognormal distribution. It can be directly compared with the traditional Black's formula when the size of third and fourth moments are not so large. The proposed extended levy model is also expected to be capable of producing the volatility smiles and skewness.

  • Two previous studies that attempted to generalize the deterministic joint pricing-inventory decision model are reevaluated. We prove analytically that even in a single-product environment, the EOQ model with constant priceelastic demand cannot find optimal solutions unless two optimality conditions associated with price elasticity and demand magnitude are satisfied. Due to the inexistence of the general optimality for the problem, demand function and price elasticity must be evaluated and bounded properly to use the methods proposed in the previous studies.

  • We propose a number of finite difference methods for the prices of a European option under the CGMY model. These numerical methods to solve a partial integro-differential equation (PIDE) are based on three time levels in order to avoid fixed point iterations arising from an integral operator. Numerical simulations are carried out to compare these methods with each other for pricing the European option under the CGMY model.

  • This paper proposes a real time pricing model for smart grid considering consumers' behavior, real time price elasticity, and exogenous price. Based on the proposed model, we found the weight of utility over cost is the most sensitive factor compared to other factors. Also, if the electricity price is set to be changed too sensitively to energy consumption, it is warned that real time pricing sometimes can cause increment of peak-time demand and volatility. Finally, real time pricing could be less efficient when the difference between the maximum and the minimum consumption level is small.

  • Congestion control is an important research area in computer network. In this paper, I provided strategy of congestion pricing with differentiated services. And, suggested forecasting model of access that considered differentiated pricing, delay time, satisfaction using logistic regression. In a forecasting model of access with logistic regression technique, it is shown that coefficient of determination using suggested model is $70.7\%$.

  • In this paper, we investigate a pricing model for mortgage-backed securities (MBSs) of a pay-through type of collateral mortgage obligation (CMO), embedded call options, which can be exercised by the intermediary, and pass-through MBSs. We suggest a prepayment-risk-neutral pricing model, applying a reduced-form prepayment rate model, and then compute and investigate the appropriate prices and spreads in the coupon rates between CMOs and PT MBSs. We believe that this study contributes in that it provides a sophisticated pricing model for MBSs, especially to the financial markets which are not advanced enough to finance with a simple type of MBSs.

  • As the growth of Internet business, many web sites have been developed their own Internet business strategies. Yet, many web sites have difficulties to make profit. In this paper, an economic model is developed to analyze web sites' quality and pricing strategies when they initiate their services as free services and develop advertising services and other charged services. By analyzing the economic model, optimal quality and prices was found. And by analyzing the optimal strategy, I found that web sites should properly decide their market share on initial customer. Finally, the importance of web sites' productivity to make profit is emphasized.

  • Power options have payoffs that are determined by the price of the underlying asset raised to some power. In this paper, power options are considered under a regime-switching model which can capture complex asset dynamics by permitting switching between different regimes. The pricing formulas for the Laplace transforms of power options are obtained. The prices of power options are calculated using the formulas and compared with the results of the Monte Carlo simulation.
