GRADIENT YAMABE SOLITONS WITH CONFORMAL VECTOR FIELD

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the geometry of complete gradient Yamabe soliton (Mn, g, f, λ) with constant scalar curvature admitting a non-homothetic conformal vector field V leaving the potential vector field invariant. We show that in such manifolds the potential function f is constant and the scalar curvature of g is determined by its soliton scalar. Considering the locally conformally flat case and conformal vector field V, without constant scalar curvature assumption, we show that g has constant curvature and determines the potential function f explicitly.

  • Some methods have been presented to avoid collisions among satellites for satellite formation flying mission. The potential function method based on Lyapunov's theory is known as a powerful tool for collision avoidance in the robotic system because of its robustness and flexibility. During the last decade, a potential function has also been applied to UAV's and spacecraft operations, which consists of repulsive and attractive potential. In this study, the controller is designed using a potential function via sliding mode technique for the configuration of satellite formation flying. The strategy is based on enforcing the satellite to move along the gradient of a given potential function. The new scalar velocity function is introduced such that all satellites reach the goal points simultaneously. Simulation results show that the controller drives the satellite toward the desired point along the gradient of the potential function and is robust against external disturbances.

Some Triviality Characterizations on Gradient Almost Yamabe Solitons

  • An almost Yamabe soliton is a generalization of the Yamabe soliton. In this article, we deduce some results regarding almost gradient Yamabe solitons. More specifically, we show that a compact almost gradient Yamabe soliton having non-negative Ricci curvature is trivial. Again, we prove that an almost gradient Yamabe soliton with a non-negative potential function and scalar curvature bound admitting an integral condition is trivial. Moreover, we give a characterization of a compact almost gradient Yamabe solitons.

L2 HARMONIC FORMS ON GRADIENT SHRINKING RICCI SOLITONS

  • In this paper, we study vanishing properties for $L^2$ harmonic 1-forms on a gradient shrinking Ricci soliton. We prove that if (M, g, f) is a complete oriented noncompact gradient shrinking Ricci soliton with potential function f, then there are no non-trivial $L^2$ harmonic 1-forms which are orthogonal to df. Second, we show that if the scalar curvature of the metric g is greater than or equal to (n - 2)/2, then there are no non-trivial $L^2$ harmonic 1-forms on (M, g). We also show that any multiplication of the total differential df by a function cannot be an $L^2$ harmonic 1-form unless it is trivial. Finally, we derive various integral properties involving the potential function f and $L^2$ harmonic 1-forms, and handle their applications.

  • 이 논문에서는 축 방향 대칭성을 가지면서 두께를 무시할 수 있는 원판형 이상체 대한 벡터 중력과 중력 변화율 텐서 반응식을 유도하였다. 밀도가 일정한 원판형 이상체의 중력 포텐셜을 원통 좌표계를 이용하여 정의한 후, 미분을 통하여 벡터 중력의 r 성분과 z 성분을 유도하였다. 벡터 중력 r 성분을 직교 좌표계에서 2개의 수평 성분으로 분해하여 벡터 중력을 구한다. 원판형 이상체의 중력 변화율 텐서는 직교 좌표계로 표현된 벡터 중력을 각 성분 방향으로 미분하여 유도하였다.

  • In this paper, we study Ricci solitons, gradient Ricci solitons in the warped product spaces and gradient Yamabe solitons in the Riemannian product spaces. We obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for the Riemannian product spaces to be Ricci solitons. Moreover we classify the warped product space which admit gradient Ricci solitons under some conditions of the potential function.

  • The object of the present paper is to characterize Sasakian 3-manifolds admitting a gradient Ricci-Yamabe soliton. It is shown that a Sasakian 3-manifold M with constant scalar curvature admitting a proper gradient Ricci-Yamabe soliton is Einstein and locally isometric to a unit sphere. Also, the potential vector field is an infinitesimal automorphism of the contact metric structure. In addition, if M is complete, then it is compact.

한반도 근해의 상대적 위치에너지 편차 변화를 이용한 성층화의 특성과 계절별 변화에 대한 연구 (Seasonal Variations and Characteristics of the Stratification Depth and Strength in the Seas Near the Korea Peninsular using the Relative Potential Energy Anomaly)

  • In this paper, we have proposed a method for quantization of the stratification strength in the sea water and analysing the distributions of the maximum stratification depths calculated by the method at the seas near the Korean peninsular. For calculating the stratification strength, modified and applied the potential energy anomaly formular which was suggested by Simpson in 1977. The data had been collected by NFRDI from 1971 to 2008 were used to determine the maximum vertical density gradient depth and the relative potential energy anomaly at that depth. In the East Sea, the stratification depth has become deepened about 20m in February and April since 1971. In Yellow-South Sea, the maximum density gradient depth has been deepened about 10m only in December during the same period and the difference of the stratification depth between summer and winter has been enlarged. These trends of variation of stratification strength and depth near the Korean peninsular should be investigated more carefully and continuously. And the results of these studies could be adopted for the more efficient operation of underwater weapon and detection systems.

터널 전계 효과 트랜지스터의 양자모델에 따른 특성 변화

  • 다양한 양자모델(Quantum model)을 적용한 터널 전계 효과 트랜지스터(tunnel field effect transistor; TFET)의 전류 및 커패시턴스(Capacitance)-전압 특성을 조사하였다. 사용된 양자 모델은 density gradient, Bohm Quantum Potential(BQP), Vandort quantum correction 모델을 슈뢰딩거-푸아송 모델과 calibration하여 사용하였다. BQP, Vandort, density gradient 모두 구동전류는 감소하였다. BQP를 단독으로 사용한 경우에 SS(subthreshold swing)와 on-set 전압($V_{onset}$)은 일정하지만 구동전류에서만 약 3배 전류가 감소하였으며, BQP와 Vandort 사용한 경우와 density gradient를 사용한 경우에 모두 $V_{onset}$이 약 0.07 eV 이동하였으며, SS가 40 mV/dec 이상으로 증가하였다.

보조접지그리드의 시설에 의한 대지표면전위경도의 저감 (Reduction of the the Ground Surface Potential Gradients by Installing Auxiliary Grounding Grids)

  • 본 논문에서는 효과적인 접지그리드 설치기법에 대하여 기술하였으며, 낙뢰나 지락고장서지, 개폐서지 등으로 부터 인체의 감전보호나 컴퓨터를 비롯한 전기·전자기기의 보호를 위한 접지그리드의 시설 및 배치방법에 따른 실험적인 평가를 수행하였다. 접지그리드의 배치에 따른 대지표면전위경도의 분석과 위험전압으로 작용하는 대지 표면전위상승의 억제에 주안점을 두고 실험용 모델접지전극을 시설한 후 임 펄스전류를 인가하였다. 기존의 등간격 접지그리드의 결점을 보완하기 위해 접지그리드에 경사를 가지는 보조접지그리드를 시설하였으며, 보조접지그리드를 시설한 접지시스템에서는 인체나 전기·전자기기에 위험전압으로 작용하는 대지표면전위경도를 최대 50%이상 완화시키는 효과를 얻었다.
