Trade Portal Site(TPS) is one of the essential tools which can make it possible for small and medium enterprises(SMEs) to perform international trade activity more efficiently using newest information and communication technology including the Internet. Therefore, Korean SMEs need to utilize TPS more actively to enhance their export competitiveness. In this context, this article analyzes the determinants of export performances of Korean SMEs in utilizing the service of TPS based on the Service Quality Model. As a result of an empirical research by using regressive analysis, various measures of service reliability such as reliability, empathy, and tangibilities have positive effects on SMEs export performance in utilizing TPS. These results provides many useful implications to the TPS managers, e-trade related government agency, along with managers of SMEs using TPS.

In recent rears. web portal system has received much attention as a user interface for the grid environment. Grid system uses symmetric key for authenticating user identity while the traditional portal system does a password-based authentication. Regarding this, many researches are progressing to integrate portal accounts with symmetric key. Specially. researches such as GAMA and PURSE are active and those focus on easy usability for users who familiar with password-based authentication. However the protection of data and resources is a critical issue in Grid environment, because those are shared through a wide-area network. In this paper, we suggest a new authentication mechanism which unify authentication mechanisms between portal system and grid service by using symmetric key. It will improve a security level in UI layer as much as in grid service.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of portal hypertension on the tumor recurrence in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and without hepatic decompression following radiofrequency ablation (RFA). Materials and Methods: Treatment-naïve HCC patients within the Milan criteria and with Child-Pugh class A were included in this study, who had performed RFA in our hospital between January 2010 and March 2017. Univariate and multivariate analyses using the Cox proportional hazard model were performed to find the predictors of local or distant tumor recurrence. Results: Overall, 178 patients were included in this study. Median follow-up period was 40.2 months. The difference in the local tumor progression rates depending on the absence or presence of portal hypertension was not statistically significant (p = 0.195). The 1-, 3-, and 5-year distant intrahepatic tumor spread rates were 6.6%, 29.5%, and 537% in patients without portal hypertension, and 23.4%, 51.9%, and 63.6% in patients with portal hypertension, respectively. The difference was statistically significant (p = 0.011). Univariate and multivariate analysis showed that portal hypertension was an independent predictor for distant intrahepatic tumor spread (p = 0.008). Conclusion: For HCC patients with Child-Pugh class A, portal hypertension adversely affected distant intrahepatic tumor progression.

After Yahoo Korea opened up the Internet portal market in Korea in 1997, the Korean portal market has experienced fierce competition in the beginning of 2000s. After that period, however, Korean portal market looks relatively stable with top five rankers forming oligopoly and shows that Arthur's claim of network externalities can be applied to the portal industry. In this paper, based on case study of the Korean portals we empirically examined how portals have developed and evolved. In this course, we also investigated the sources of portal's competitiveness. The findings of the research suggest that portals develop and evolve through the reflexive four stages in which they compete over different goals: 1) service quality, 2) critical mass of customers, 3) interpersonal interactivity, and 4) innovative service. According to this framework of portal's evolution, we show that top ranking portals in the present have succeeded in accomplishing the goals of each stage.

This study examined relationship of effect between the characteristics of specialized portal and two branch dimension(cognitive and emotional e-trust) of e-trust on the specialized portal web-site. The characteristics of specialized portal web-site composed the guarantee factor, the structural factor, information factor, the entertainment factor and the flow factor by prior research. The model of e-trust strategy for specialized portal web-site is tested here using data from 122 samples. Result of factor and regression analysis show that the hypothesized relationships are significant. In examining the relationships of the factors in the study, the guarantee, structural and information fact effect on building of cognitive e-Trust. Second, the entertainment and flow factor effect on emotional e- Trust. Third, the cognitive and emotional e- Trust effect on the satisfaction of e-Service users. As these results, this study found out difference paths of e-Trust which effect on the satisfaction of e-Service by cognitive and emotional e- Trust approaches to the specialized portal web - sites.

The work patterns in the organizations performing research and development projects consist of both administrative business with defined processes and knowledge-oriented research and development business with undefined or semidefined processes. This paper describes an enterprise portal model and its services aligned to research and development organization's work patterns. The proposed portal model is focused on constructing personalized workplaces providing knowledge-based services for research and development business, as well as business process management based services for administrative business. The further research will provide more concrete portal model and its applicability to research and development organization's business.

In this study, to expand and develop the policy information portal (POINT) of the National Library of Korea Sejong. This study conducted a survey and in-depth interview with government officials and policy researchers. The suggested ways to support the policy information portal (POINT) in the future. As a result of the analysis, the use of the current policy information portal service was found to be low, and it was found that improvement of information access, integrated search, and expansion of information provision data were more necessary. It was suggested that a one-stop service should be implemented to provide various information, systematic information on related data for each task, overseas trend data, core service data, promotion activation, data linkage by strengthening cooperation with various government ministries and research institutes, and easy information provision and menu composition.

With the developments in the areas of IT and internet, the portal sites have provided a variety of services. The explosive growth of portal sites based on IR services has a great influence on information services and types of information provided typically by libraries. Because of various and useful information services, information users consider portal sites as a more useful information resource. With the user's changes in information resource the portal sites can be a threatening competitor to libraries as a information resource. To deal successfully environmental changes around libraries. IR agency service can be best solution. IR agency service is a sort of more advanced and expanded information services for information users who can not connect to internet or has no skill on IT area. In this paper, information users' opinion on their internet using behavior and IR agency service was collected and analyzed. Based on the result of survey. this paper proposes how to provide IR agency service and its expecting effect for libraries, especially public libraries.

Recently, the social commerce on Facebook.com and Twitter.com, which is represented by SNS (Social Network Service), has been expanding in the form of a combination of SNS market. This study attempted to examine the cost-effect analysis between portal-based advertisement and SNS-based advertisement in order to establish an effective advertising strategy for e-learning content providers. The results showed that portal-based advertisement is more effective than SNS-based advertisement in terms of advertising effectiveness against cost. According to these empirical research results, this article discusses the practical implications for e-learning content providers in an attempt to enable them to take competitive advantage.

In this paper, we propose cloud-based site-oriented ERP development for a construction company. The ERP development was aimed at the development of web-based user service portal and management portal, middleware development based on WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), and client SW development based on WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). Major developments of ERP are the process refinement of the use process of the small and medium construction, user-oriented UI design, process slimming and automation.
