This study tried to derive improvement measures by identifying the perceptions of industrial college instructors and learners in the technology convergence sector, where various technologies are combined, as distance education at colleges are prolonged due to COVID-19 and difficulties for instructors and learners continue. To this end, an online survey was conducted on automobile professors and students at the end of the second semester of 2020. As a result of the survey analysis, it was found that professors and students had similar perceptions about the advantages of online classes, such as freedom of time and space, repeatable learning, and recycling. In terms of difficulties, it was found that students felt a decrease in learning immersion due to a lack of sense of presence, and both professors and students felt the difficulty of interaction relatively large. This study is meaningful in that it prepares suggestions and basic data on college policy support for online education at industrial colleges during and after COVID-19.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the service quality of special libraries using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method. This study also applied the working year factor to IPA model for establishing more improved library service strategies. A total 127 library users who work in governmental policy or research institutions in South Korea participated in this study. This study conducted regression analysis to compare with the results of IPA. The results of survey revealed that special library users had high expectation for library services, but they perceived the performance of the library service as insufficient. Special library users assessed that the information services of libraries were well provided but required additional efforts in services related with space and provided by librarian. Interestingly, when the library services were measured by working years, special library users who have worked for more than eight years were generally satisfied with library services with no "possible overkill" services, but users with less than three years working experience particularly expressed dissatisfaction with the service provided by librarians. The results of regression analysis supported the results of IPA. Finally, this study provides several important suggestions for better special library service.

Due to the aging population and the entry of baby boomers into the elderly, the elderly are recognized as a group with diversity rather than a single group with the same needs. Therefore, it is necessary to try to grasp the factors that the elderly use welfare centers from the perspective of consumers. The results showed that gender, age, education, occupation, economic status, social class, number of friends, number of social activities, number of diseases, and depression were significant. In other words, women than men, older people, highly educated people, elderly people without jobs, elderly people with poor economic status, the elderly belonging to a lower social class, the more friends, the more social activities involved, the more diseases, the higher the depression, the higher the probability of using the welfare center. It was found that heterogeneous elderly groups, such as the elderly with high educational background, many friends, and active participation in society, and the elderly, economically difficult, and poor in health, use the welfare center. Based on these research results, policy and practical suggestions were made to improve the quality of welfare services for the elderly.

This study aims to examine the experiences and behaviors of youth's stock investment with credit loans. Using a qualitative case study method (Creswell, 2015), we interviewed 7 young investors. As a result of the analysis, based on the research method within the case, it was possible to find out the process and reasons for how the participants had credit loan experience and invested in stocks. In addition, 19 common categories could be derived from this. Further analyses classified the process as "start of stock investment", "immersion into the investment", "stock investment through credit loans", and "consequence of stock investment with credit loans". The study concludes with several policy implications and suggestions for future studies.

The purpose of this study is to examine the sequential mediating effects of social withdrawal and depression in the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision of multicultural adolescents. To this end, we analyzed adolescents data from the 8th year survey(2018) of the 'Multicultural Adolescent Panel Study(MAPS)' provided by the National Youth Policy Institute(NYPI). As a result of the study, first, achievement motivation was found to have a significant and positive effect on career decision. Second, it was found that social withdrawal did not mediate the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision. Third, it was found that depression mediates the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision. Fourth, it was found that social withdrawal and depression sequentially mediate the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision. Based on the results of this study, we searched for social support measures to improve the career decision of multicultural adolescents and support their career paths, and suggested implications and limitations of the results of this study and suggestions for follow-up studies.

Product image location in search engine advertising plays an important role in consumer perception when the product is relatively low involved and has functional value. The purpose of this research is to investigate the interaction effects of product image location and product type on advertising effectiveness. Building on the literature of location effects, we show that for products for which heaviness is considered a positive attribute, product image placed on the right are preferred. To test hypotheses, a 2(product image location: left vs. right) × 2(product type: single vs. bundle) experiment is conducted and a total of 144 paricipants took part in the experiment. The results revealed that respondents show higher brand attitude and purchse intention toward a bundle product's advertising with product image place on the right. The results provide implications and suggestions for improving search engine advertising and marketing strategies.

The purpose of this study is to make practical suggestions to help multicultural adolescents' academic adaptation. For this purpose, changes in the academic adaptation of multicultural adolescents were identified, and longitudinal changes in self-esteem were explored in the relationship between bicultural acceptance attitude and academic adaptation. The data from the panel survey of multicultural youth of the Korea Youth Policy Institute was used for the analysis. The result of analyzing the longitudinal mediating effects of self-esteem between bicultural acceptance and academic adaptation through the multivariate potential growth model, the mediating effects of self-esteem was confirmed. Based on these results, the practical implications for enhancing the bicultural acceptance attitude, academic adaptation, and self-esteem of multicultural youth were presented.

In the 1980s, the rapid development of Hong Kong genre films began the myth of Hong Kong's New Wave films, which had a profound impact on Taiwanese films of the same period. Later, two leading film directors, Hou Xiaoxien and Edward Yang, appeared in the process of being influenced by Taiwanese film Ganyu Wave. In this paper, we conducted research on the art style, theme style, film language, and aesthetic narrative methods of films of Hou Xiaoxien and Edward Yang against the backdrop of Taiwan's New Wave era. In addition, the visual characteristics of Taiwan's New Wave films, and the two directors have drawn suggestions on Taiwan's new generation of directors and the Taiwanese film industry, and presented a colorful film creation scheme for the creation and innovation of the new generation of filmmakers.

This paper examines why Japan's nation branding strategy is not working in South Korea in spite of expanding relations between Korea and Japan. Japan has successfully managed its national reputation, which altered its image around the world. However, Japan's nation-image in South Korea has not kept up with its efforts internationally. Political and economic interactions between Korea and Japan have increased throughout the past decades since the normalization of diplomatic relations in 1965. Also, the normalization of cultural-social relations emerged after the Korean government policy restricting Japanese popular culture was removed in the 1990s and overseas travel was liberalized in 1989. In spite of the improvement in politico-cultural-social relations, trust-building efforts still stagnate between the two countries. This paper discusses the reasons behind this phenomenon and provides some suggestions to solve this issue.

The greatest mission of archival community lies in collecting records to document past and present Korean society and in safeguarding them to pass over to the next generation. For the last decade, Korean archival community has actively pursued this mission and accomplished it to the certain extent. A series of events occurred during the last year urged the community to regretfully accept that the so-called accomplishment was by no means satisfactory. The present study aims to review what has been achieved against what should be if the community is to be truthful to the fundamental mission. It begins with addressing attributes of electronic records. To be specific, attributes of electronic records as 'records' are compared against those as 'digital objects.' Current state of long-term preservation of electronic records is reviewed. Suggestions follow in terms of four directions: establishing a policy framework based on principles of electronic records management, building integrated electronic records management system, researching and developing functionalities for long-term preservation, and finally, knowledge transfer and coordination.
