The aims of this study was to identify the needs of a generation-integrated housing complex by respondents with different generations and propose the plans for this type of low-rise housing complex. Respondents were needed a housing unit with 31-40 pyung, three rooms, and two baths. Also, they wanted to live a housing complex with size of 50-100 housing units, providing community services such as green zone and rivulet, community programs and spaces, and residents gathering public spaces. The proposed plans showed three types of standard housing unit plans and three modified housing unit plans to accommodate the changing life cycle of the family.

This paper considers the selection of process plans for a flexible manufacturing machine. Most of the planning models for the automated manufacturing systems are based on the assumption that for each part there is only one process plan available. This paper considers that for each part a number of different process plans are available, each of which may require specific types of tools. If the requisite tools are not on the machine, one or more tool switches must occur before the process plan can be processed. This paper develops an optimal algorithm of branch and bound method for the selection of process plans to minimize the number of tool switches.

Going shopping would be a very reasoned and well-planned activity, however, at the same time, it would not. People may go shopping just for fun and as their leisure. The motivations for going shopping and their experiences cannot be fully explained with the economic utility or the information-processing model. Thus, this study explored the hedonic aspect of the experiences of shopping as an alternative explanation to consumers' motivations of shopping and discussed retail advertising and marketing plans. An in-depth interview was conducted to obtain a better understanding about hedonic value, and it was found that hedonic value affects a consumer's shopping experience and that understanding consumers' motivations for shopping and establishing competitive advertising and marketing plans is important in drawing more consumers. Strategic implications for establishing further retail advertising and marketing plans obtained from the findings were also suggested.

With the introduction of the data-oriented plan for LTE service, one may concerned with the background of the ISP's policy in charging for LTE services. In this work we investigate the latest usage patterns of voice and data applications for customers over the current mobile network, via which we investigate why mobile operators introduced data-oriented plans. To be specific, we collected the real-field data for the volume of voice and data traffic from the LTE network before the data-oriented plans were introduced. From the collected data we compute the absolute volume as well as the proportion of voice and data applications. From these observations we infer mobile operators' reasoning behind the decision to introduce data-oriented plans with unlimited voice calls over the mobile network.

After 1980's, the progress in quantities of apartments were made by the housing construction expediting policies. But, the qualities of apartments were neglected and the plan of apartments were uniformed by the economical aspects. Apartment unit plans were designed standardized by the reasons of economical efficiency, structural methods and sales. Therefore apartments could not deal effectively with increasing demands for qualities of the residents. Absence of aesthetical values and fixed unit plans on regardless of the residents family compositions and the size of the apartments were occurred. So the new types of the apartment plans are needed to suit the changes and diversities of living. The purpose of this study is to extract the design factors for future apartment by analyzing the unit plans of apartment housings today.

This paper represents the new techniques for optimal sampling plans of reliability applying the mathematical complex number(real and imaginary number) in the complex system of reliability. The research formulation represent a mathematical model Which preserves all essential aspects of the main and auxiliary factors of the research objectives. It is important to formule the problem in good agreement with the objective of the research considering the main and auxilary factors which affect the system performance. This model was repeatedly tested to determine the required statistical chatacteristics which in themselves determine the actual and standard distributions. The evaluation programs and techniques are developed for establishing criteria for sampling plans of reliability effectiveness, and the evaluation of system performance was based on the complex stochastic process(derived by the Runge-Kutta method. by kolmogorv's criterion and the transform of a solution to a Sturon-Liouville equation.) The special structure of this mathematical model is exploited to develop the optimal sampling plans of reliability in the complex system.

Reliability acceptance sampling is concerned with whether to accept or reject a collection of items based upon the information obtained from life testing. Although various reliability acceptance sampling plans have been developed, little is known about their relatvie performances. This paper compares reliability acceptance sampling plans under Type II censoring, Hybrid censoring, and Time-Truncated Type II censoring assuming that the lifetimes of items in a lot follow an exponential distribution. The three plans are compared in terms of the power, the expected number of failures, and the expected time required to reach a decision. Computational experiments are conducted and the results are tabulated to provide guidelines for selecting an appropriate plan for a given situation.

In this paper, a design and estimation procedure for the stochastically dependent nonstationary multiple acceptance sampling plans is developed. At first, the rough-cut acceptance and rejection numbers are given as an initial solution from the corresponding sequential sampling plan. A Monte-Carlo algorithm is used to find the acceptance and rejection probabilities of a lot. The conditional probability formula for a sample path is found. The acceptance and rejection probabilities are found when a decision boundary is given. Several decision criteria and the design procedure to select optimal plans are suggested. The formula for measuring performance of these sampling plans is developed. Type I and II error probabilities are also estimated. As a special case, by setting the stage size as 1 in a dependent sampling plan, a sequential sampling plan satisfying type I and II error probabilities is more accurate and a smaller average sample number can be found. In a numerical example, a Polya dependent process is examined. The sampling performances are shown to compare the selection scheme and the effect of the change of the dependency factor.

This study aimed to examine academic researches about apartment unit plans and consumer's opinions, and then to analyze the corelationship between the two, thus identifying the differences between the reality of housing market and consumers' opinionsl. On the analysis of the apartment unit plans($66m^2{\sim}164m^2$) provided by top 8 construction companies from March 2004 to December 2008. The remarkable change compared to existing apartments is an increase in the number of bays. This displays construction companies are responding to consumer' opinions actively. However, there were spaces which did not or passively reflect consumer's opinions enough. Especially, front side allocation of bedrooms beside master bedroom, kitchen/dining room and L-D-K & LD-K installation of a door between entrance and a living room. These are opinions that companies need to make efforts to reflect on apartment unit plans as much as possible.

The broadcasting & telecommunication services in the future will be converged and be serviced on mobile devices. However, the current ICT infrastructure does not fully meet the future demand for those converged, realistic, intelligent, and personalized services. The Korean government is going to establish a high speed next generation network called UBcN (Ultra-Broadband Convergence Network) by 2013. The Korean government has announced a multi-year plan to establish an UBcN network and to discover and stimulate new converged services for an UBcN in January, 2009. The author of this paper has taken part in formulating development plans since the early stages of planning. In this paper, Korea's development plans for the next generation network and their development strategies are analyzed and discussed based on the author's experience. The paper also discusses the expected impacts of the plan for the future ICT industry, and the implications of government-driven development plans.
