본 연구는 다문화가정 학생의 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 변인을 학생 개인 변인(한국어능력, 자기효능감, 학생-교사 애착관계)과 교사변인(다문화교육 인식)으로 나누고 이 변인들 간의 관계를 살펴보기 위하여 수행되었다. 자기효능감과 학생-교사 애착관계를 매개변인으로 상정하고, 구조방정식모형을 통해 그 효과성을 검증하였다. 서울특별시에 거주하고 있는 초등학생 336명과 그들의 담임교사 264명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 자기효능감과 학생-교사애착관계의 매개역할이 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 다문화 가정 학생의 한국어능력은 자기효능감을 매개로 학교적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 다문화교육 인식은 학생-교사 애착관계를 매개로 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 매개변인들 간의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 자기효능감은 학생-교사 애착관계를 매개하여 학교적응에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 다문화가정 학생들의 교육에서 자신에 대한 긍정적인 인식과 함께 교사와의 정서적 유대관계의 형성이 학교생활 적응에 중요하다는 점과 학교 및 사회적응에 특별한 배려와 관심이 중요하다는 점을 보여 준다. 본 연구결과를 기반으로 시사점과 추후 연구를 위한 제안을 논의에 수록하였다.

This study performed to develop a basic framework of adolescent's perceptions about multicultural families, the children of multicultural families, the impacts of cultural exchange on cultural diversity, and multicultural efficacy. The participants were 368 students from four high schools in the Seoul area. The data were analysyed by ANOVA, Duncan-test, and multiple regression. The results revealed significant differences; perceptions of the multicultural family was the highest among those who believed the perceptions would increase, while the lowest among those believing to decrease. Perceptions of multicultural efficacy showed significant differences in thought about education for understanding other country people, the multi media experiences of multicultural families, knowledge about the multiculture, and thought about an increasing number of multicultural families. There were significant correlations among perceptions about the multicultural family, the children in the multicultural family, the impacts of cultural exchange on cultural diversity, and efficacy of the multicultural environment.

지금까지 다문화교육은 일반학생들의 도덕성 향상과 같은 근본적인 교육효과보다는 다문화에 대한 인식개선이라는 단편적인 효과에만 초점을 두었기 때문에 다문화교육의 성과는 제한적이었다. 본 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 다문화수용성이 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이 두변수 간의 관계에서 공감의 매개효과를 분석하는 데 있다. 연구대상은 경기도 I도시의 초등학교 2개교의 5, 6학년 재학생으로서 설문조사를 실시하였고, 그 중 457부를 다중회귀분석하였다. 분석결과, 다문화수용성과 공감능력은 친사회적 행동과 유의미한 관련이 있으며, 공감능력은 다문화 수용성이 친사회적 행동과의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 초등학생들을 대상으로 하는 다문화교육은 단편적인 인식교육보다는 친사회적 행동과 공감을 향상시키기 위한 상시적인 도덕교육과정을 통해서 운영할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was exploring perceptions of people in community towards community use and multiple-use of special school facilities and providing implications for connecting school to the communities. Survey was conducted to special education teachers, parents of children receiving special education, and local residents. Total 5,702 people participated in this study and general finds were as following: (1) All 3 groups of study participants reported that there was a generally positive perception of special schools within the community, however, at the same time, almost quarter of parents having children with disabilities reported negative perceptions of special schools in the community; (2) among the special school facilities, sports facilities appeared to be the most open to the community and difficulties related to the community-open of school facilities included facility management and safety issues, and inteference with students' school activities; (3) facilities suitable for the multi-use of special schools facilities included sports facilities, cultural and creative spaces, and commercial areas, and those facilities could be open to community during non-class hours such as after-school, weekends, and vacations. Based on the results from survey, implications for planning, designing, and implementing multi-use facilities of special schools were provided.

본 연구는 어린이집 보육계획의 생활주제와 연계한 다문화 이해 프로그램의 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 아울러 이 프로그램을 어린이집 교사가 단독으로 진행하였을 경우와 훈련받은 결혼이주 여성 교사가 함께 진행하였을 경우의 효과가 어떠한지도 분석하고자 하였다. 연구를 수행하기 위해 경기도에 소재한 3개 어린이집의 만 5세반을 한 학급씩 편의표집하여 실험집단1, 실험집단2, 통제집단으로 구분하였다. 실험집단 1은 다문화 이해 프로그램을 어린이집 교사와 결혼이주여성 교사가 함께 진행하도록 하고, 실험집단 2는 동일한 프로그램을 어린이집 교사가 혼자 진행하도록 하였으며, 통제집단은 정규 보육계획안을 그대로 운영하도록 하였다. 사전 사후검사에 사용된 유아의 다문화 인식 측정 도구는 김판희와 이춘옥(2009)의 유아용 척도를, 또래와의 놀이성 측정도구는 김미숙(2001)의 척도를 사용하였다. 자료의 분석결과 유아의 다문화에 대한 인식은 실험집단 1, 실험집단 2, 통제집단의 순으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 유아 다문화 이해 프로그램을 경험한 두 실험집단의 유아는 통제집단에 비해 또래와의 놀이성이 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다.

This study examined students' perceived importance of the benefits derived from an international multi-course collaborative (IMCC) project and how these perceptions impact students' extrinsic and intrinsic motivations for using the project Facebook (i.e., perceived usefulness and enjoyment), attitude toward the project, and intent to participate in future IMCC projects. The data were collected from 96 students who participated in the IMCC project and were enrolled in four different fashion merchandising courses in two different countries, the U.S. and South Korea. This study found that perceived enjoyment of the project Facebook influenced attitude toward the project and intent to participate in future IMCC projects. Perceived usefulness and enjoyment were predicted by the perceived importance of cultural understanding and feedback exchange among international group members. Attitude was influenced by the perceived importance of networking through the IMCC project, while intent to participate in future IMCC projects was predicted by perceived importance of cultural understanding and networking through the IMCC project. This study provides educators in the related disciplines insights about how to incorporate social network sites into course curricula to motivate students' project participation and learning.

This paper explores how to teach Chinese, using multi-media resources such as Chinese dramas and focusing on one of Jin Yong's dramas, The Return of the Condor Heroes. The purpose of this study is to develop teaching methodologies for university students learning Chinese through drama to integrate language skills: enhancing communicative competence and understanding Chinese cultures. First, the overview of previous studies provides several cases of foreign language education using drama. Teaching Chinese through drama can be an integrative education because students can develop their communicative competence as well as understand the cultures of the target language. In other words, the contexts of drama may offer rich sources of the history of China, Han Chinese ethnocentrism, and knowledge of Chinese literature as well as geography. Second, this study applies the principles of Tomlinson (2010) for materials development in language teaching into the case of Chinese drama. It concentrates on Jin Yong's The Return of the Condor Heroes that the author has used in the Chinese language courses for three years. It examines the characteristics of the drama for developing effective ways of teaching and learning Chinese language and culture. Furthermore, it discusses the impact of using drama on changes in students' pervasive perceptions about unnecessity of Chinese classical literature. Third, this paper presents some sample lessons which may help teachers to develop understanding of how to organize lessons through drama. Finally, it illustrates university students' opinions about using drama to learn Chinese.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of daycare teachers' demographic variables and multicultural variables upon their perception of multicultural families. Daycare teachers' multicultural variables consist of their multicultural family-related education, their perception of single-races and multi-races persons, their acceptance of familial diversity, their cultural capability and the efficacy of multicultural teaching. In conclusion, the study findings show that the multicultural variables seem to have an influence upon teachers' perception of multicultural families. Since the teachers' perception of the multicultural family is important for the shaping of relations between teachers and children from multicultural families and between teachers and females of transnational marriage, the importance of teachers' perceptions of multicultural related variables must be recognized. Therefore, it seems to be necessary to help children from multicultural families improve their adaptability to daycare facilities and for females of transnational marriage to form mutual, cooperative relations with teachers.

힐튼 호텔, 맥도날드와 같은 환대산업의 성공은 언어 및 문화적 배경이 다른 인적자원을 경제력 제고수단으로 효율적으로 관리한 결과이다. 이처럼 본 연구의 목적은 창의적인 아이디어, 네트워크 다양화, 기업이미지 제고, 우수인력을 극대화할 수 있고, 이로 인해 발생될 수 있는 부정적인 요소를 최소화하기 위한 가이드 라인을 제시하고자 한다. 1. 다양한 문화를 이해하고 접할 수 있는 교육 및 훈련 프로그램이 학교 교육차원에서 먼저 제공되어야 한다. 2. 감정과 인식에 대한 차이를 자국어로 설명된 비디오 교육시스템으로 그릇된 인식(misperceptions), 그릇된 평가(misevaluations), 불신(mistrust)과 같은 apos;misfactorapos; 요소를 줄여야 한다. 3. 각 국가의 풍습 및 음식문화, 국제 비즈니스 매너, 토론회와 같은 다양하고 체계적인 프로그램이 필요하다. 4. 경영자는 다문화에는 다양성과 일관성의 양면성이 있음을 명심해야 한다.
