도시주부의 가족응집력.적응력이 가정관리 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Family Cohesion and Adaptability on the Stress of Housewives Resulted from Home Management)

  • This study has a purpose to provide with the basis reference to decrease the housewives' stress and to improve the quality of family life by investigating the difference in the level of the stress resulted from home management according to background variables family cohesion and adaptability and by finding out relative importance of the variables which affect the stress of housewives resulted from home management. For all above the 550 self-reported questionnaires were distributed to housewives who have at least one child with their spouse in seoul. Finally 433 data were used for the final analysis. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows: First Family cohesion and adaptability show a significant difference by the housewives' education level the number of children communication satisfaction. Second housewives' stress is different significantly in accordance with the state of employment and communication satisfaction. Third it showed the lower the family coh sion and adaptability are the higher the housewives' stress is. And more influential variable of the two on home management stress is family cohesion. Fourth The background variables that influence in home management stress were education level perceived life level and age. Last As a result of looking into relative influence of the variables on the housewives' stress both psychological variable(perceived life level) and family cohesion were important variables in explaining housewives' home management stress.

The Effects of Mindfulness Medication Program on the Psychological Well-being of Nursing College students

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of mindfulness meditation programs based on stress management on the perceived stress, self-control, self-esteem and satisfaction with life scale in nursing college students. A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. Participants consisted of an experimental group(n=18) and a control group(n=22). The experimental group received the mindfulness meditation program for 60 minutes a week for 13 sessions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, Fisher's exact test, t-test, Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed there were significant decrease for perceived stress(t=-9.43, p=.025) and improved self-esteem(t=1.98, p=.038) in the experimental compared to group control group. These findings indicate that mindfulness meditation programs is effective to psychological well-being in nursing college students. Therefore this program needs to be considered as a nursing curriculum for students.

고등학생이 지각한 부모의 완벽주의 성향과 학업스트레스 및 삶의 만족도의 관계 (The Relationships between Parental Perfectionism, Academic Stress, and Life Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 완벽주의 성향으로 인해 학생들이 받는 학업스트레스 및 삶의 만족도의 관계를 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 P 지역에 있는 고등학생 290명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 부모의 완벽주의 성향의 평균을 중심으로 완벽주의 성향을 높게 지각하는 상집단(평균이상)과 낮게 지각하는 하집단(평균이하)의 삶의 만족도와 학업스트레스가 관계가 있는지 알아보고자 t-test를 하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 완벽주의 성향의 평균을 중심으로 완벽주의 성향을 높게 지각하는 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 완벽주의 성향과 삶의 만족도와의 평균이 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났으며 가족·친척관계, 자아감·일반적인 삶, 친구·대인관계, 주거환경, 신체·정신건강, 의·식·경제정도, 여가활동, 학업·하루일과 이렇게 총 8개의 하위요인에 대하여 하집단이 상집단에 비해 삶의 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 완벽주의 성향과 학업스트레스의 관계가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났으며 시험성적 스트레스, 과제 스트레스, 학습내용 스트레스, 학원 스트레스 이렇게 총 4개의 하위변인 중 시험성적과 학습스트레스는 상집단의 스트레스가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 자료 분석을 통해 얻은 주요 결과를 바탕으로 살펴보면 완벽주의 성향을 지닌 부모가 자녀를 양육하였을 때 상집단의 학생들이 학업에 대한 스트레스가 더 높았으며 이로 인해 삶의 만족도 역시 같이 낮아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

가족친화적 지역사회 인식이 미취학자녀 부모의 양육 효능감 및 양육 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Perceived Family-Friendliness of Community on Parenting Efficacy and Stress among Parents with Preschoolers)

  • The aim of this study is to examine how perceived family-friendliness of community influences parents' efficacy and stress. This study asks three research questions: 1) what is the geographical boundary of community perceived by parents with pre-school children, 2) how the components of family-friendly community affect parents' perception on family-friendliness of their communities, 3) how the perceived family-friendliness of their community affects parenting efficacy and stress. Drawing on a sample of 628 parents(318 males, 310 females) who had at least one pre-school child, we analyze the data by frequencies, means and hierarchical regressions. The major findings are as follows. While the responses on the geographical boundary of community varies the most frequent response is 'Gu'. Both knowledge on family service infra and community social capital, which consist of family-friendly community, affect the perception of family-friendliness of community. The perceived family-friendliness of community is positively associated with parenting efficacy and negatively associated with parenting stress. The effect of the perceived family-friendliness of community on parenting efficacy disappears when social capital is included in the model. There is no such pattern in the association between the perceived family-friendliness of community and parenting stress.

노년기의 재혼가족생활 스트레스에 대한 경험적 연구 - 재혼노인 및 그 배우자를 중심으로 - (A Qualitative Study on the Remarried Elderly's Stress and Adaptation to Stepfamily Life)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the stress of remarried elderly in their remarried life. There were 10 remarried elderly respondents. The data was collected by in-depth personal interview. Focusing on the situation of remarried family life the remarried elderly perceived various stress. Those were the stress from the status of remarried person and the stress from relations with their own children/ new spouse/ new spouse's children/ ex-spouse and ex-kin/ sibling and relatives and friends. The results of this study could be a useful material for elderly's remarriage preparation program.

선천성 심장병환아 어머니가 인지하는 가족 스트레스, 사회적 지지, 대처 (Family Stress, Perceived Social Support, and Coping of Mothers Who have a Child Newly Diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease)

  • Congenital heart disease is now estimated to be the most prevalent chronic illness in children. The overall purpose of study is to enhance our understanding of mother's perception of family stress, perceived social support, and coping who has a child newly diagnosed with congenital heart disease. In this investigation, the relationship between family stress, perceived social support, and coping within the context of a acute, non life- threatening chronic illness in the situation of newly diagnosed as Rolland's typology of chronic illness. The study employed data from a subset of a large longitudinal study, children's chronic illness: parents and family adaptation conducted by M. McCubbin (5 R29 NR02563) which was funded by the NIH. The subject for this study were 92 mothers who have a child under age 12 who was newly diagnosed with congenital heart disease within the last 3-4 months. Results form correlational and regression analysis revealed that perceived social support operated as a resiliency factor between family stress and coping of mothers. Child and family characteristics appeared to be important predictors of perceived social support and mother's coping. Therefore, the findings provide an incremental contribution to the explanation of effects for perceived social support and may challenge resiliency model in previous literature. Further, these findings suggest that perceived social support and coping are both influencing in the resiliency of relatively high risk groups of families who has a child with congenital heart disease.

어머니가 지각하는 사회적 지지와 양육스트레스, 자아인식 및 양육행동 간의 구조적 관계 (The Structural Relationship among Social Support, Parenting Stress, Self-perception and Parenting Behavior Perceived by Mother)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore structural relationships among social support, parenting stress, self-perception and parenting behavior perceived by mother and provide preliminary data useful for desirable parenting behavior. For this purpose, the data of fourth wave Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC) including social support, parenting stress, self-perception and parenting behavior measured by 1,746 mothers with 3-year-old children were analyzed. We identified structural relationships among the variables using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 applying structural equation modeling. Measurement model and structure model had favorable goodness of fit and the results of structure models on each path were as follows. First, parenting behavior had positive correlations with social support and self-perception but there was a negative correlation between parenting behavior and parenting stress. Second, the relationship between social support and self-perception was mediated by parenting stress and parenting stress and self-perception mediated the relationship between social support and parenting relationship. In conclusion it is required to raise awareness about the importance of development of various parent education programs and parenting behavior.

성별에 따른 스트레스 인지 정도 관련 요인 (Factors Affecting Level of Perceived Stress by Gender)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 성인의 성별에 따른 스트레스 인지 정도와 관련된 요인을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 지역사회건강조사 2011년 자료를 이용하였으며, 총 229,226명을 대상으로 하였다. 스트레스 인지 정도와 관련된 요인을 확인하기 위하여 다중로지스틱 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 스트레스 인지 정도 관련요인이 학력 수준, 가구원 수, 연간 가구 총 소득, 자기관리에서 남성과 여성 간 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 스트레스 인지 정도와 건강 관련 삶의 질에 성별 간 차이가 있을 수 있음을 시사한다. 향후 성별에 따른 스트레스 인지 정도의 차이가 발생하는 원인을 밝히기 위한 추가 연구가 필요하다.

청소년의 식행동과 심리적 요인이 피곤 자각도에 미치는 영향 (Contribution of Food Behavior an Psychological Factor to Perceived Tiredness in Adolescens)

  • The relationship among food behavior, psychological factor(life strees) and perceive tiredness was investigated in 514 adolescents. Tiredness was measured in four cases: in lessons, before school, in the early evening and at weekends. Adolescents felt most tired in lessons and before school, and leat at weekends. Irregularity of meal times and skipping breakfast were positively correlated with tiredness in lessons and befor school. Consumption of some foods was related to perceived tiredness. High sugar or fat containing ice-cream, hamburger of fizzy drinks in boys, and crisps and cookies in girls were positively associated with tiredness. Whereas beans and mushrooms were negatively associated with tiredness in girls. Life stress(by scholastic problem and personal problem) of adolescents was positively related to tiredness. The contribution of stress to tiredness was much greater than of food behavior according to multiple linear regression .There was no relationship between nutrients intake and tiredness in lessons and before school which were more strongly influenced by stress, whereas the relationship was found at weekend without influences of stress. The more tired, the lower NARs(nutrient adequacy ratio) of energy, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin B$_2$, and niacin were. In conclusion, some eating behavior and psychological factor can cause tiredness in adolescents, but tiredness in school and before school had more of a psychological cause than at weekend. 학령기 아동이 지각하는 일상적 스트레스와 유머감각이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Perceived Daily Stress and Sense of Humor on Quality of Life among School-Age Children)

  • Purpose: Quality of life is important to everyone including school-age children. Therefore this study was done to identify the effects perceived daily stress and sense of humor on quality of life for these children. Methods: The study was a cross-sectional, descriptive study design with 371 participants from 5th and 6th grade children in 5 elementary schools. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Results: Factors influencing quality of life in school-age children were daily stress, sense of humor, satisfaction with daily life, academic performance and home atmosphere. These variables explained 63.0% of quality of life in school-age children. Conclusion: Results showed that lower daily stress and higher sense of humor are associated with higher quality of life. Therefore, to improve quality of life in school-age children, healthcare providers should develop intervention programs considering these factors.
