태양전지 실리콘 웨이퍼에서의 레일리기준 기반 레이저산란 패턴 분석 및 결함 검출 (Investigation of Laser Scattering Pattern and Defect Detection Based on Rayleigh Criterion for Crystalline Silicon Wafer Used in Solar Cell)

  • In this paper, patterns of laser scattering and detection of micro defects have been investigated based on Rayleigh criterion for silicon wafer in solar cell. Also, a new laser scattering mechanism is designed using characteristics of light scattering against silicon wafer surfaces. Its parameters are to be optimally selected to obtain effective and featured patterns of laser scattering. The optimal parametric ranges of laser scattering are determined using the mean intensity of laser scattering. Scattering patterns of micro defects are investigated at the extracted parameter region. Among a lot of pattern features, both maximum connected area and number of connected component in patterns of laser scattering are regarded as the important information for detecting micro defects. Their usefulness is verified in the experiment.

  • In this paper, a robust fault-tolerant control scheme for robot manipulators overcoming actuator failures is presented. The joint(or actuator) fault considered in this paper is the free-swinging joint failure and causes the loss of torque on a joint. The presented fault-tolerant control framework includes a normal control with normal(non-failed) operation, a fault detection and a fault-tolerant control to achieve task completion. For both no uncertainty case and uncertainty case, a stable normal con-troller and an on-line fault detection scheme are presented. After the detection and identification of joint failures, the robot manipulator becomes the underactuated robot system with failed actuators. A robust adaptive control scheme of robot manipulators with the detected failed-actuators using the brakes equipped at the failed(passive) joints is proposed in the presence of parametric uncertainty and external disturbances. To illustrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed fault-tolerant control scheme, simulation results for a three-link planar robot arm with a failed joint are presented.

에지 검출을 위한 통계적 검정법 (Statistical Tests for Edg Detection)

  • In this paper we describe a nonparametric Wilcoxon test and a parametric Z test based on statistical hypothesis testing for the detection of edges. We use the threshold determined by specifying significance level $\alpha$, while Bovik, Huang and Munson[4] consider the range of possible values of test statistics for the threshold. From the experimental results of edge detection, the Z method performs sensitively to the noisy image, while the Wilcoxon method is robust over both noisy nd noise-free images. Comparison with our statistical tests and Sobel operator shows that our tests perform more effectively in both noisy and noise-free images.

  • The construction method using PC(Precast Concrete) has been widely used because the method can shorten the construction period and improve construction quality. In this paper, through the analysis of present design process for PC railway platform, design parameters on the geometry and properties were extracted and 3D information models for PC railway platform were constructed by the parametric modeling technique. Furthermore, the interface module was developed to link 3D models to the structural analysis/design sheet and database program using VBA(Visual Basic Application). This information model could be used in various areas including structural analysis and design, 2D drawing, quantity estimation and 4D simulation including clash detection.

데이터 마이닝을 활용한 병원 재방문도 영향요인 분석 : 외래환자의 만족도를 중심으로 (On the Determination of Outpatient's Revisit using Data Mining)

  • Patient revisit to used hospital is a key factor in determining a health care organization's competitive advantage and survival. This article examines the relationship between customer's satisfaction and his/her revisit associated with three different methods which are the Chi Square Automatic Interaction Detection(CHAID) for segmenting the outpatient group, logistic regression and neural networks for addressing the outpatient's revisit. The main findings indicate that the important factors on outpatient's revisit are physician's kindness, nurse's skill, overall level of satisfaction, hospital reputation, recommendation, level of diagnoses and outpatient's age. Among these ones, physician's kindness is the most important factor as guidelines for decision of their revisit. The decision maker of hospital should select the strategy containing the variable amount of the level of revisit and size of outpatient's group under the constraint on the hospital's time, budget and manpower given. Finally, this study shows that neural networks, as non-parametric technique, appear to more correctly predict revisit than does logistic regression as a parametric estimation technique.

  • Recently, many on-line approaches to instrument channel surveillance (drift monitoring and fault detection) have been reported worldwide. On-line monitoring (OLM) method evaluates instrument channel performance by assessing its consistency with other plant indications through parametric or non-parametric models. The heart of an OLM system is the model giving an estimate of the true process parameter value against individual measurements. This model gives process parameter estimate calculated as a function of other plant measurements which can be used to identify small sensor drifts that would require the sensor to be manually calibrated or replaced. This paper describes an improvement of auto-associative kernel regression by introducing a correlation coefficient weighting on kernel distances. The prediction performance of the developed method is compared with conventional auto-associative kernel regression.

Parametric Study of Rectangular Coil for Eddy Current Testing of Lamination

  • Eddy current testing (ECT) is an important nondestructive testing technology for the inspection of flaws in conductive materials. However, this widely used technology is not suitable for inspecting lamination when a conventional pancake coil is used because the eddy current (EC) generated by the pancake coil is parallel to the lamination and will not be perturbed. A new method using a rectangular coil placed vertical to the work piece is proposed for lamination detection. The vertical sections of the rectangular coil induce ECs that are vertical to the lamination and can be perturbed by the lamination. A parametric study of a rectangular coil by finite element analysis was performed in order to examine the capability of generating vertical EC.

  • Background subtraction is a method typically used to segment moving regions in image sequences taken from a static camera by comparing each new frame to a model of the scene background. We present a improved non-parametric background model by null hypothesis. Evaluation shows that this approach achieves very sensitive detection with very low false alarm rates.

  • 자발적인 매개하향변환과정에서 발생하는 광자쌍을 이용하여, 광학계내의 광손실에 따른 상관관계의 감소가 단일광자계수 와 두-광자 동시계수에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 두 검출기 앞에 얇은 유리판을 설치하고 유리판의 편광에 따른 투과율을 변화시켜 두 광자들간의 상관관계를 인위적으로 조절하였다. 상관관계의 정도에 따라 측정된 단일광자계수는 광자를 측정하는 검출기 앞에 놓인 유리판의 투과율에 비례하는 반면에, 두-광자 동시계수는 두 검출기 안에 놓인 두 유리판의 투과율의 곱에 비례하였다.

칼라분류와 방향성 에지의 클러스터링에 의한 차선 검출 (Detection of Road Lane with Color Classification and Directional Edge Clustering)

  • 본 논문에서는 칼라분류 및 방향성 에지정보의 클러스터링과 이들의 통합에 의한 새로운 도로영역 및 차선검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 도로영역 및 차선을 하나의 인식대상 물체로 취급하고, 통계적 파라미터의 반복 최적화에 의한 칼라정보의 클러스터링을 수행해서 검출과 인식을 위한 초기정보로 사용한다. 다음으로, 칼라정보가 갖는 물체인식 의 한계를 개선하기 위해 에지정보를 검출하고, 관심영역(Region Of Interest for Lane Boundary(ROI-LB))의 추출과 ROI-LB 영역에서 방향성 에지정보의 검출과 클러스터링을 수행한다. 칼라분류 및 에지 클러스터링의 결과를 통합해, 이들 각각의 정보가 갖는 특징을 이용함으로서 도로환경에 적합한 도로영역 및 차선을 검출할 수 있도록 한다. 제안방법은 도로와 차선에 관한 파라미터릭 수학적 모델을 사용하지 않고 칼라 및 에지의 클러스터링 정보에 의한 non-parametric 방법으로 다양한 도로 환경에 유연한 대응이 가능한 장점을 갖는다. 본 제안방법의 유효성을 입증하기 위해 상이한 촬상조건 및 도로환경에서의 영상에 대한 실험결과를 제시한다.
