Consider the problem of estimating a $p{\times}1$ mean vector $\theta(p\geq4)$ under the quadratic loss, based on a sample $X_1$, $X_2$, $\cdots$, $X_n$. We find a Lindley type decision rule which shrinks the usual one toward the mean of observations when the underlying distribution is that of a variance mixture of normals and when the norm $\parallel\;{\theta}-\bar{{\theta}}1\;{\parallel}$ is restricted to a known interval, where $bar{{\theta}}=\frac{1}{p}\;\sum\limits_{i=1}^{p}{\theta}_i$ and 1 is the column vector of ones. In this case, we characterize a minimal complete class within the class of Lindley type decision rules. We also characterize the subclass of Lindley type decision rules that dominate the sample mean.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the intentions and influencing factors of intentions to care for New Influenza A ($H_1N_1$) patient Methods: This study involved a descriptive design using self-administered questionnaire. Intentions to care for H1N1 patient was evaluated by prediction tool, based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA with a Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis. Results: The level of intention was high, attitude was negative, subjective norm was high, and perceived behavioral control was moderate. The general regression model with intention as a dependent variable was statistically significant (F=39.31, p<.001). 28.1% of variance in intention was explained by subjective norm (t=8.75, p<.001), and perceived behavioral control (t=4.28, p<.001). Among the predictors, subjective norm had the greatest effect on intention (${\beta}=.44$). The nurse with the higher subjective norm and more positive perceived behavioral control reported the higher intention. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggested that the various aspects of nurse's characteristics should be considered when establishing strategies to improve the nurse's intention for care of infectious disease.

본 논문에서는 페이즈필드 설계법 기반의 피로 제약 조건 구조물의 위상최적설계를 수행하였다. 페이즈필드 설계법의 도입으로 기존의 위상최적설계법에서 발생하기 쉬운 중간 영역의 크기를 크게 감소시켰다. 수정된 upper bound P-norm의 도입으로 모든 지점의 응력 성분을 고려하면서, 전역적 응력값이 국부적 최대 응력값과 근사한 값을 가질 수 있도록 설정하였다. 또한 기존의 피로 파괴 제약 조건 위상최적설계에서 다루지 않았던 응력 수정 계수에 대한 고려를 위하여 위상최적설계 결과물의 1차 주응력 성분을 고려하여 응력 수정 계수를 도입하고 이에 따라 허용 응력 진폭 값을 수정 하였다. 이를 통하여 인장 응력으로 인한 내구 한도 감소 요인을 반영한 체계적인 설계 방안을 제시하였다.

본 연구에서는 119구급대원의 행위태도, 주관적 규범 및 지각된 행위 통제가 안전의도와 안전행동에 관한 구조적 관계 모형 검증을 규명하기 위하여 서울, 인천, 강원, 대구, 충남, 경북, 부산에 거주하고 있는 소방공무원 중 119구급대원으로 활동하는 남녀 373명 대상으로 조사하였다. 수집된 자료처리는 Windows용 SPSS 2.1과 Amos 16.0을 사용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계를 실시하였고, 가설 검정을 위해 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다. 모든 통계분석은 유의수준 p<.05로 설정하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, '구급대원의 행위 태도가 안전 의도와 안전 행동에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 행위 태도가 안전 의도와 안전 행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(t=.32, p<.001). 둘째, '구급대원의 주관적 규범이 안전 의도와 안전 행동에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 주관적 규범이 안전 의도와 안전 행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(t=.27, p<.001). 셋째, '구급대원의 지각된 행위 통제는 안전 의도와 안전 행동에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 지각된 행위 통제가 안전 의도와 안전 행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(t=.28, p<.001). 넷째, '구급대원의 안전 의도는 안전 행동에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 안전 의도가 안전 행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.(t=.39, p<.001).

In this paper, the author introduces the class $L^p$-BV of functions which are of bounded variation in the sense of $L^p$-norm and investigates the degree of convergence for Fourier series of functions belonging to this class.

예제 기반 학습(instance-based learning) 방법 중 하나인 k-최근접 이웃(k-nearest reighbor, k-NN) 학습은 간단하고 예측 정확도가 비교적 높아 분류 및 회귀 문제 해결을 위한 기반 방법론으로 널리 적용되고 있다. k-NN 학습을 위한 알고리즘은 기본적으로 유클리드 거리 혹은 2-놈(norm)에 기반하여 학습예제들 사이의 거리를 계산한다. 본 논문에서는 유클리드 거리를 일반화한 개념인 p-놈의 사용이 k-NN 학습의 성능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 연구하였다. 구체적으로 합성데이터와 다수의 기계학습 벤치마크 문제 및 실제 데이터에 다양한 p-놈을 적용하여 그 일반화 성능을 경험적으로 조사하였다. 실험 결과, 데이터에 잡음이 많이 존재하거나 문제가 어려운 경우에 p의 값을 작게 하는 것이 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다.

If p(z) is a polynomial of degree n having all its zeros in |z| ≤ k, k ≥ 1, then for any complex number α with |α| ≥ k, and r ≥ 1, Aziz [1] proved $$\left{{\int}_{0}^{2{\pi}}\,{\left|1+k^ne^{i{\theta}}\right|^r}\,d{\theta}\right}^{\frac{1}{r}}\;{\max\limits_{{\mid}z{\mid}=1}}\,{\mid}p^{\prime}(z){\mid}\,{\geq}\,n\,\left{{\int}_{0}^{2{\pi}}\,{\left|p(e^{i{\theta}})\right|^r\,d{\theta}\right}^{\frac{1}{r}}.$$ In this paper, we obtain an improved extension of the above inequality into polar derivative. Further, we also extend an inequality on polar derivative recently proved by Rather et al. [20] into L^r-norm. Our results not only extend some known polynomial inequalities, but also reduce to some interesting results as particular cases.

Let $G\;=\;O(k){\times}O(k){\times}O(q)$ and let $M^n$ be a closed G-invariant minimal hypersurface with constant scalar curvature in $S^{n+1}$. Then we obtain a theorem: If $M^n$ has 2 distinct principal curvatures at some point p, then the square norm of the second fundamental form of $M^n$, S = n.

In this study, we define r-circulant, circulant, Hankel and Toeplitz matrices involving the integer sequence with recurrence relation U_n = pU_n-1 + U_n-2, with U₀ = a, U₁ = b. Moreover, we obtain special norms of above mentioned matrices. The results presented in this paper are generalizations of some of the results of [1, 10, 11].

The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy set was first introduced by Atanassov in 1986. In this paper, we define the intuitionistic(S,T)-fuzzy left h-ideals of a hemiring by using an s-norm S and a t-norm T and study their properties. In particular, some results of fuzzy left h-ideals in hemirings recently obtained by Jun, $\"{O}zt\"{u}rk$, Song, and others are extended and generalized to intuitionistic (S,T)-fuzzy ideals over hemirings.
