  • In this paper, the author studies the k-th commutators of oscillatory singular integral operators with a BMO function and phases more general than polynomials. For 1 < p < $\infty$, the $L^p$-boundedness of such operators are obtained provided their kernels belong to the spaces $L(log+L)^{k+1}(S^{n-1})$. The results of the corresponding maximal operators are also established.

  • We establish a common fixed point theorem for mappings under ${\phi}$-contractive conditions on intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces. As an application of our result we study the existence and uniqueness of the solution to a nonlinear Fredholm integral equation. We also give an example to validate our result.

  • An integral domain R is an RTP domain (or has the radical trace property) (resp. an LTP domain) if I(R : I) is a radical ideal for each nonzero noninvertible ideal I (resp. I(R : I)RP = PRP for each minimal prime P of I(R : I)). Clearly each RTP domain is an LTP domain, but whether the two are equivalent is open except in certain special cases. In this paper, we study the descent of these notions from particular overrings of R to R itself.

  • In this article, we first consider a linear multiplier fractional q-differintegral operator and then use it to define new subclasses of p-valent analytic functions in the open unit disk U. An attempt has also been made to obtain two new q-integral operators and study their sufficient conditions on some classes of analytic functions. We also point out that the operators and classes presented here, being of general character, are easily reducible to yield many diverse new and known operators and function classes.

  • To improve safety analysis technology for a nuclear reactor containment considering an interaction between a reactor coolant system (RCS) and containment, this study aims at an experimental investigation on the integrated simulation of the RCS and containment, with an integral effect test facility, ATLAS-CUBE. For a realistic simulation of a pressure and temperature (P/T) transient, the containment simulation vessel was designed to preserve a volumetric scale equivalently to the RCS volume scale of ATLAS. Three test cases for a steam line break (SLB) transient were conducted with variation of the initial condition of the passive heat sink or the steam flow direction. The test results indicated a stratified behavior of the steam-gas mixture in the containment following a high-temperature steam injection in prior to the spray injection. The test case with a reduced heat transfer on the passive heat sink showed a faster increase of the P/T inside the containment. The effect of the steam flow direction was also investigated with respect to a multi-dimensional distribution of the local heat transfer on the passive heat sink. The integral effect test data obtained in this study will contribute to validating the evaluation methodology for mass and energy (M/E) and P/T transient of the containment.

  • For real parameters ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ such that ${\alpha}$ < 1 < ${\beta}$, we denote by $\mathcal{P}({\alpha},{\beta})$ the class of analytic functions p, which satisfy p(0) = 1 and ${\alpha}$ < ${\Re}\{p(z)\}$ < ${\beta}$ in ${\mathbb{D}}$, where ${\mathbb{D}}$ denotes the open unit disk. Let ${\mathcal{A}}$ be the class of analytic functions in ${\mathbb{D}}$ such that f(0) = 0 = f'(0) - 1. For $f{\in}{\mathcal{A}}$, ${\mu}{\in}{\mathbb{C}}{\backslash}\{0\}$ and ${\nu}{\in}{\mathbb{C}}$, let $I_{{\mu},{\nu}:{\mathcal{A}}{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{A}}$ be an integral operator defined by $$I_{{\mu},{\nu}[f](z)}=\({\frac{{\mu}+{\nu}}{z^{\nu}}}{\int}^z_0f^{\mu}(t)t^{{\nu}-1}dt\)^{1/{\mu}}$$. In this paper, we find some sufficient conditions on functions to be in the class $\mathcal{P}({\alpha},{\beta})$. One of these results is applied to the integral operator $I_{{\mu},{\nu}}$ of two classes of starlike functions which are related to the class $\mathcal{P}({\alpha},{\beta})$.

  • A new path independent contour integral formulus for the distinct calculation of mode I stress intensity factors in two dimensional linear elastic fracture mechanics problems is presented. This method is based on p-convergence concepts and can be easily appended to existing finite element computer codes. In this study, the stress state at crack tip has been investigated and the path independence of J-integral values has been tested with respect to different contours expressed by normalized distance apart from the crack tip. Numerical results by p-convergence for the problems such as centrally cracked panels, single and double edged cracks in rectangular panels have been compared with those by the conventional h-convergence. The comparison demonstrates the accuracy and stability of the proposed method.

  • Ad hoc wireless networks involving large populations of scattered communication nodes will play a key role in the development of low power, high capacity, interactive, multimedia communication networks. Such networks must support arbitrary network connections and provide coverage anywhere and anytime. This paper partitions such arbitrarily connected network architectures into three distinct groups, identifies the associated dual network architectures and counts the number of network architectures assuming there exist N network nodes. Connectivity between network nodes is characterized as a random event. Defining the link availability P as the probability that two arbitrary network nodes in an ad hoc network are directly connected, the network connection probability $ \integral_n$(p) that any two network nodes will be directly or indirectly connected is derived. The network connection probability $ \integral_n$(p) is evaluated and graphically demonstrated as a function of p and N. It is shown that ad hoc wireless networks containing a large number of network nodes possesses the same network connectivity performance as does a fixed network, i.e., for p>0, $lim_{N\to\infty} Integral_n(p)$ = 1. Furthermore, by cooperating with fixed networks, the ad hoc network connection probability is used to derive the global network connection probability for hybrid networks. These probabilities serve to characterize network connectivity performance for users of wireless ad hoc and hybrid networks, e.g., IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.15, IEEE 1394-95, ETSI BRAN HIPERLAN, Bluetooth, wireless ATM and the world wide web (WWW).

  • The main purpose of this paper is to introduce Apostol type (p, q)-Frobenius-Genocchi numbers and polynomials of order α and investigate some basic identities and properties for these polynomials and numbers including addition theorems, difference equations, derivative properties, recurrence relations. We also obtain integral representations, implicit and explicit formulas and relations for these polynomials and numbers. Furthermore, we consider some relationships for Apostol type (p, q)-Frobenius-Genocchi polynomials of order α associated with (p, q)-Apostol Bernoulli polynomials, (p, q)-Apostol Euler polynomials and (p, q)-Apostol Genocchi polynomials.
