In [9], Geramita, Harbourne, and Migliore find a graded minimal free resolution of the 2nd order symbolic power of the ideal of a linear star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ n of any codimension r. In [8], Geramita, Galetto, Shin, and Van Tuyl extend the result on a general star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ but for codimension 2. In this paper, we find a graded minimal free resolution of the 2nd order symbolic power of the ideal of a general star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ of any codimension r using a matroid configuration in [10]. This generalizes both the result on a linear star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ of codimension r in [9] and the result on a general star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ of codimension 2 in [8].

Let R be a commutative ring with $1{\neq}0$, I a proper ideal of R, and m and n positive integers. In this paper, we define I to be a weakly (m, n)-closed ideal if $0{\neq}x^m\;{\in}I$ for $x{\in}R$ implies $x^n{\in}I$, and R to be an (m, n)-von Neumann regular ring if for every $x{\in}R$, there is an $r{\in}R$ such that $x^mr=x^n$. A number of results concerning weakly(m, n)-closed ideals and (m, n)-von Neumann regular rings are given.

We classify complete intersections I of grade 3 in a regular local ring (R, M) by the number of minimal generators of a minimal prime ideal P over I. Here P is either a complete intersection or a Gorenstein ideal which is not a compete intersection.

In studies on the hospital labor-management relations, research about the attitudes of workers and management toward unions was relatively untouched in Korea. This study was investigated to identify the relation among ideal, actual attitudes toward unions, ideal, actual views on nursing profession and career commitment. Data was obtained from a convenience sample of 285 nurses of varying positions, education, career, join union or not. The results of this study were as follows. 1. There was significant differences between ideal attitude toward unions and actual (p < .001). 2. There was significant differences between ideal view on nursing profession and actual (p< .001). 3. There were no correlations between ideal and actual attitude toward unions and nursing career commitment. 4. There were correlation between ideal and actual views on nursing and nursing career commitment(r=.32, r=.46). As the results show, views on nursing profession are more important factor to inhance nursing career commitment than attitude toward union. So the findings of this study suggest that antecedents and moderating variables need to be explored for further theoretical specification and empirical evaluation.

Let G be a cyclic group of prime power order p^k, and let I be the augmentation ideal of the integral group ring ℤ[G]. We define a derivation on ℤ/p^kℤ[G], and show that for 2 ≤ n ≤ p, an element α ∈ I is in Iⁿ if and only if the i-th derivative of the image of α in ℤ/p^kℤ[G] vanishes for 1 ≤ i ≤ (n - 1).

In this paper, for any non-empty subsets A, I of a pseudo BCI-algebra X, we introduce the concept of pseudo p-closure of A with respect to I, denoted by A^pc_I, and investigate some related properties. Applying this concept, we state a necessary and sufficient condition for a pseudo BCI-algebra 1) to be a p-semisimple pseudo BCI-algebra; 2) to be a pseudo BCK-algebra. Moreover, we show that A^pc_{0} is the least positive pseudo ideal of X containing A, and characterize it by the union of some branches. We also show that the set of all pseudo ideals of X which A^pc_I = A, is a complete lattice. Finally, we prove that this notion can be used to define a closure operation.

본 논문은 symmetric balance incomplete block design(BIBD) code의 BER=$10^{-9}$을 만족하는 spectral efficiency를 구하였다. 이 계산 결과 effective power가 큰 경우 ($P_{sr}=-10$ dBm)는 m=2로 고정시키고 q값을 변화시키는 ideal BIBD code구성이 효율적이었다. 이와 반대로 effective power가 작은 경우 ($P_{sr}=-25$ dBm)는 ideal BIBD code 구성 보다는 q > 2인 값을 취하고 m값을 변화시키는 설계가 더 효율적임을 알 수 있었다.

Let M be a finite commutative nilpotent algebra over a perfect field k of prime characteristic p and let $M^p$ be the sub-algebra of M generated by $x^p$, $x{\in}M$. Eggert[3] conjectures that $dim_kM{\geq}pdim_kM^p$. In this paper, we show that the conjecture holds for $M=R^+/I$, where $R=k[X_1,\;X_2,\;{\cdots},\;X_t]$ is a polynomial ring with indeterminates $X_1,\;X_2,\;{\cdots},\;X_t$ over k and $R^+$ is the maximal ideal of R generated by $X_1,\;X_2,{\cdots},\;X_t$ and I is a monomial ideal of R containing $X_1^{n_1+1},\;X_2^{n_2+1},\;{\cdots},\;X_t^{n_t+1}$ ($n_i{\geq}0$ for all i).

Let R be a ring R and ${\sigma}$ be an endomorphism of R. R is called ${\sigma}$-rigid (resp. reduced) if $a{\sigma}r(a) = 0 (resp{\cdot}a^2 = 0)$ for any $a{\in}R$ implies a = 0. An ideal I of R is called a ${\sigma}$-ideal if ${\sigma}(I){\subseteq}I$. R is called ${\sigma}$-quasi-Baer (resp. right (or left) ${\sigma}$-p.q.-Baer) if the right annihilator of every ${\sigma}$-ideal (resp. right (or left) principal ${\sigma}$-ideal) of R is generated by an idempotent of R. In this paper, a skew polynomial ring A = R[$x;{\sigma}$] of a ring R is investigated as follows: For a ${\sigma}$-rigid ring R, (1) R is ${\sigma}$-quasi-Baer if and only if A is quasi-Baer if and only if A is $\={\sigma}$-quasi-Baer for every extended endomorphism $\={\sigma}$ on A of ${\sigma}$ (2) R is right ${\sigma}$-p.q.-Baer if and only if R is ${\sigma}$-p.q.-Baer if and only if A is right p.q.-Baer if and only if A is p.q.-Baer if and only if A is $\={\sigma}$-p.q.-Baer if and only if A is right $\={\sigma}$-p.q.-Baer for every extended endomorphism $\={\sigma}$ on A of ${\sigma}$.

In this Paper three different types of fuzzy Prime ideals are introduced. Condition is obtained for a fuzzy 2-prime ideal will have two elements in its range. It has been shown that A is fuzzy 2-prime ideal of the semiring R if and only if 1-A is a fuzzy $m_2-system$ in R.
