IT제조기업의 베트남 진출 전략 및 성과에 관한 연구 (IT Manufacturing Companies' Strategies and Performance for Overseas Expansion to Vietnam)

  • This study is aimed to find out which factors among firm-specific resources, industry-based competition, and institutional conditions affect strategies for Korean IT manufacturing companies when they expand their business overseas, especially to Vietnam in this study. Also, it attempts to reveal which strategies among cost reduction, mass production, and localization affect performance of overseas expansion. Based on Strategy Tripod Theory as an integrating point-of-view embracing resource-based view, industry-based view, and institution-based view, research model was developed and tested through the survey of 83 Korean IT manufacturing companies expanded their business to Vietnam. Research findings show that (1) communication competency, industry competitiveness, industry attractiveness, and regulation of partner country affect cost reduction strategy. (2) International experience, communication competency, international orientation, and competitiveness is significantly associated with mass production strategy. (3) And international experience, communication competency, and industry competitiveness affect localization. (4) Ultimately, mass production strategy and localization strategy significantly increase performance of expansion to Vietnam. The theoretical contribution of this study is to adopt an integrative approach based on strategy tripod theory. As practical implications, it suggests factors and strategies that IT manufacturing companies interested in expansion to Vietnam should consider. In sum, we believe this study can contribute to Korean IT manufacturing industry by suggesting key success factors and appropriate strategies for overseas expansion.

  • 해외 해운항만물류시장의 확대 및 진출에 따라 우리나라 선진 해운항만물류분야의 기술 이전을 위한 연수프로그램 수요가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 현재 시행되고 있는 해운항만물류분야 연수프로그램은 단기적인 성과는 있지만 국내 물류기업이 해외시장에 진출하는데 활용도가 매우 낮다. 따라서, 본 연구는 국내 물류기업의 해외진출 현황을 살펴보고 현재 추진중인 연수프로그램의 운영 실태와 문제점을 분석하여 국내 해운항만물류기업이 성공적으로 해외시장에 진출할 수 있는 연수프로그램 활용 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

국내 발전기업의 아시아 화력발전플랜트 시장 진출전략 (A Domestic Power Companies' Strategy to Enter Asian Thermal Power Plant Market)

  • The power plant companies reached the culmination for growth in the domestic market. Besides, we have faced many challenges such as an electricity opening market trend for overseas, banning the use of coal due to the United nations framework convention on climate change, and the meticulous attention regarding the government's electricity charge plan. On the other hand, the overseas business has been a critical issue since China and many other developing countries expanded their projects abroad. Another factor is that power plant industry is being privatized, and it made the market regulation a bit loose. Thus, the market environment became favorable toward those companies which planned many overseas businesses. In this research, the power plant company's current condition for construction and operation as well as its technical competitiveness were analyzed, and an alternative plan using SWOT analysis for entering an oversea market was made. It dealt with both internal and external factors. Also, examined was the current situation under the power plant industry dealing with restructure for electric industry, lack of fossil fuel, and the United nations framework convention on climate change. From the research, it was suggested that many successful strategies to enter the overseas business by using the market trend I researched.

Study on Revitalization of Overseas Employment through the K-Move School Program - Focusing on the USA employment cases of fashion students at P University -

  • P University applied for the overseas expansion project of K-Move School operated by Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and was selected twice in 2016 and 2017 to operate the program. The goal of this study was to prepare an activation plan based on the results of the training program to enter the fashion industry in LA, USA. The lack of research It was confirmed that the K-Move School program could provide young people with opportunities to grow into global talents in a situation where it is very uneasy to predict the future based on the domestic employment environment alone. However, in order to successfully expand overseas jobs, systematic and strategic policies are essential by the government and related ministries or institutions so that practical programs suitable for young people can be operated. It is hoped that the results of these studies will be used as basic data for young adults and leaders who are in charge of teaching overseas.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive construction-phase risk factors in SMEs' advance into overseas plant construction projects. For this, construction-phase risk factors were investigated on the basis of the analysis of Korean construction companies, overseas plant industry-related research institutes, and overseas data. In addition, major risk factors were derived from the investigated construction-phase risk factors, and quantitative risk factors and qualitative risk factors were analyzed and derived from these major risk factors, by the use of three rounds of the Delphi analysis.

해외 의료관광객이 느끼는 통제력이 서비스 만족 및 구전의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Psychological Control Felt by Overseas Medical Tourists on Service Satisfaction and Word of Mouth Communication)

  • Receiving medical services abroad is an event that involves a high level of risk and stress for most people. This study proposes and empirically examines perceived control as a factor that has a potential to reduce the stress associated with overseas medical experience and enhance satisfaction with it. Based on the research findings in environmental psychology, one's perceived control was divided into cognitive control, behavior control, and decision control. A research model and a set of hypotheses were constructed to investigate the effect of each control on satisfaction and word-of-mouth communications among consumers who had overseas medical service experiences. The data collection was conducted through an online survey of 220 Chinese consumers who had visited Korea as plastic medicine tourists. Satisfaction with their service experience was significantly affected by both behavioral control and decisional control, but not by cognitive control. Thus, Chinese medical tourists prefer to maintain the belief that they are in charge of major decisions associated with the medical procedure, and that the results of the medical procedure will have personally desirable consequences. In addition, satisfaction experienced by Chinese consumers with overseas medical services had a significant impact on their word-of-mouth activities. Based on the research results, a set of academic and practical implications were derived.

브랜드 지식과 감정이 글로벌 패션 브랜드 선택 확신에 미치는 영향 -해외 거주 경험의 조절 효과- (Effects of Brand Knowledge and Affect on Brand Choice Confidence of Global Fashion Brands -Moderation Effect of Overseas Residence Experience-)

  • This study examines how the overseas residence experience of Korean consumers influences the relationship of global fashion brand knowledge and brand choice confidence. We contrast two kinds of consumer brand knowledge, using the concepts of Alba and Hutchinson's expertise and familiarity. Considering the effect of positive affect on intuitive information processing, the present study investigated the role of positive affect in consumer brand knowledge and brand choice confidence link. The proposed model was tested with structural-equation analysis. The results show that expertise and familiarity effect the positive affect. Positive affect, in turn, influences brand choice confidence. The results indicate that the processes underlying global fashion brand knowledge and brand choice confidence link are different between the consumers with overseas residence experience for more than a year and the consumers without it. The route from expertise to positive affect has a significant impact on the consumers with overseas residence experience but not on the consumers without it; however, the route from familiarity to positive affect and the path from positive affect to brand choice confidence have a greater impact on the consumers without overseas residence experience than the consumers with it. We find that the consumers with overseas residence experience favor expertise in the process underlying global fashion brand knowledge and brand choice confidence link, whereas the consumers without it favor familiarity and affect based thought.

FTA 연구에 관한 메타분석 (Meta Analysis of Prior Studies on FTA)

  • Korea has studied FTA over 20 years since FTA with Chile. More than 3,000 Articles have been published in journal so far. Thus, this study aims to present the direction that should be taken by Korean FTA study by using Meta-Analysis for FTA study which has been carried on so far. Many researchers publish several articles each year, showing high quotation index and H-index. However, Korean FTA study lacks network with overseas researchers and fusion study with other sciences. 65.4% of Korean FTA study is carried on Independent research and 91.1% of them, in joint research by fewer than 2 persons. Further, the Subject of FTA study is not diverse and too uniform. Out of total studies, 24.3% of them are related to rules of origin and 15.3% of them, to China, showing that theme of study is quite partially concentrated. This is large difference with overseas FTA study. Study on rules of origin is only 1.5% in overseas. Korean FTA study needs to diversify subjects of study and to balance between academic aspect & practical aspect. When it comes to study methodology empirical analysis assumed large portion in both Korea and overseas countries. Empirical analysis assumes 18.3% in Korea and 47.3% in overseas, both of which are quite high. However, qualitative study such as FGI/AHP, in-depth interview, case analysis is quite rare in Korean FTA study. Partial concentration of countries for study subject needs to be rectified also. In Korea, countries for FTA study is China 15.3%, EU 10.0%, USA 6.3%. In overseas, China assumes only 3.7% of study subject. It is required for Korean FTA study to extend study subjects & study area by forming global study network and to extend qualitative study with microscopic study.

국외소재 한국문화재 현황파악을 통한 자료 활용 방안 - 주요 해외 박물관 소장품을 중심으로 - (Use of Information Gained from Survey of Korean Cultural Properties Overseas -Based on Collections of Overseas Museums)

  • 최근 우리 문화유산에 대한 관심과 그 연구는 종래의 관련연구자 뿐만 아니라 일반인의 참여가 높으며 그 범위도 국내에 한정치 않고, 국외 한국문화재에 대한 환수와 그 활용에 이어지고 있는 상황이다. 따라서 국외 소재 한국문화재 모두가 환수대상이라는 종래의 개념 이외에 다각적이고 적극적인 활용방안을 모색할 단계로 보고 이를 위해서는 유출경위 등 체계적인 현지조사를 통한 명확한 현황파악이 선생될 필요가 있다는 것이 이 논문의 출발이자 기본요지이다. 또한 국외소재 한국문화재를 좀 더 확장하여 유연하게 바라볼 수 있는 우리의 인식 전환 역시 필요한 시점이다. 이런 견지에서 한국문화재는 원래 생산국인 우리의 고유한 문화유산일 뿐만 아니라 인류가 공동으로 보호하고 활용할 인류의 보편적 가치(Outstanding universal value)가 있는 세계유산이라는 접근을 통해 그 활용의 폭도 넓혀질 수 있을 것이다. 이런 견해에 입각하여 미국 보스톤박물관 등 3개국의 대표적인 주요소장처의 한국문화재에 대하여 그 가치와 성격, 그리고 유출배경의 유형을 살펴 정리하였다. 본 논문은 위와 같은 인식의 바탕에서 향후에도 국외 한국문화재의 현지조사를 통해 유출배경의 명확성을 확보함으로써 학문적 연구는 물론 환수대상 혹은 홍보대상 들을 구분하여 정책기초 자료로 응용될 수 있도록 국외소재문화재 자료를 규명하자는 데 그 뜻이 있다.

공간정보산업 해외진출을 위한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기반 산업 간 융합 방안 연구 (Inter-Industries Convergence Strategies of Geospatial Information Industry based on Cloud Computing Technologies for Overseas Expansion)

  • 포화상태인 국내 공간정보산업시장을 확장하기 위해서는 해외 진출이 필수적이나, 현재의 공간정보산업 해외 진출 방식은 시장 확장에 한계를 보이고 있다. 산업 간 융합을 통한 공간정보산업 해외 진출은 인접 ODA 재원을 활용한 해외 진출을 가능하게 하고 국제 경쟁력을 보유한 산업과의 융합을 통한 선진국 진출을 가능하게 할 수 있다는 점에서 시장 확장의 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 산업 간 융합 방안을 수립하기 위해 적합한 산업을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 산업간 융합을 위해서는 융합 용이성, 정보의 보안성, 열악한 인프라 극복, 다양한 수요 대응체계, 유지 보수체계의 마련이 필요하다는 것을 밝히고 이러한 수요를 충족시키기 위한 융합 기반을 모색하였다. 융합 기반은 클라우드 기반의 공간정보 융합 공통 프레임워크, 공간정보-타 산업 간 융합 모델 및 융합 상품의 해외진출 지원체계로 구성하였고, 각각의 구성 방안을 제시하였다.
