고용유연성이 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 컴퓨터 프로그래밍, 시스템 통합 및 관리업을 중심으로 (A study on the effect of employment flexibility on the business performance in the computer programming, system consultancy and related service industry)

  • This study investigates what effects employment flexibility have on the business performance in the computer programming, system consultancy and related services. An analysis of the effects of employment flexibility on outcomes of human resource management revealed that companies which had a higher proportion of temporary agency workers and adjusted employment more frequently had higher turnover rates. The study also showed that the higher the proportion of non-regular workers, outsourcing and the easier it was to adjust working hours, the higher the absence rate. Meanwhile, companies that made employment adjustments more often showed higher defect rates and lower customer satisfaction. It was also found that in companies with a higher proportion of outsourcing and higher possibility of employment adjustments, workers were less interested in new technologies.

  • This study examines divergent experiences of family leisure from parent, child and family-level perspectives. In particular, emphasis is placed on differences and similarities about family leisure motivation and outcomes of family leisure activities among socioeconomic backgrounds. Questionnaires were completed by 100 families. The results indicate that Korean families mostly participate family leisure activities because of family bonding although this tendency emerges clearly only from parents' and female adolescents' responses. The families evaluate that family leisure activities bring more positive outcomes than negative outcomes to families. Intellectual motivation, family bonding motivation, and relaxation motivation are positively related to positive outcomes while obligation motivation is negatively related to positive outcomes. Further conclusions and implications are discussed.

A Prediction of Work-life Balance Using Machine Learning

  • This research aims to use machine learning technology in human resource management to predict employees' work-life balance. The study utilized a dataset from IBM Watson Analytics in the IBM Community for the machine learning analysis. Multinomial dependent variables concerning workers' work-life balance were examined, categorized into continuous and categorical types using the Generalized Linear Model. The complexity of assessing variable roles and their varied impact based on the type of model used was highlighted. The study's outcomes are academically and practically relevant, showcasing how machine learning can offer further understanding of psychological variables like work-life balance through analyzing employee profiles.

  • 본 연구는 대형화되는 건설프로젝트의 성과 달성을 위해 체계적으로 프로젝트 관리를 할 수 있는 PMC의 중요성과 도입의 필요성을 증명하는 연구이다. 이를 위해 구조방정식 모형(SEM) 분석을 통하여 PMC의 역할과 건설프로젝트 성과와의 관계를 분석하여 PMC의 필요성 및 프로젝트 성공의 중요한 요인인 인적자원역량 중 PM리더십과 팀 구성원 역량이 건설프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 연구결과, PMC는 인적자원역량과 건설프로젝트 성과에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤고, 인적자원역량 또한 건설프로젝트 성과에 유의미한 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 대형 건설프로젝트에 PMC를 도입하고 PM리더십과 팀 구성원 역량을 강화한다면 건설프로젝트를 성공적으로 완공할 수 있음을 시사한다.

  • 최근 사회적 기업의 양적확대가 계속되고 있어 사회적 기업들의 지속가능한 성과창출을 위한 효과적인 운영방안 제시가 매우 필요한 시점이다. 이에 본 연구는 사회적 기업의 경제적 성과와 사회적 성과에 영향을 미치는 다양한 조직요인을 탐색하고자 수행되었다. 다양한 조직 운영요인으로 전략적 요인, 경영지원시스템, 외부환경, 조직문화를 살펴보았으며 객관적 요인인 조직형태, 목적유형, 수익업종, 기업경로를 통제하여 그 영향을 살펴보았다. 조직의 전략적 요인은 경제적 성과와 사회적 성과 모두에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 인사관리 지원과 혁신지향문화가 경제적 성과에 영향을 미쳤으며, 외부환경 요인 중 지역사회지원은 사회적 성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과에 근거하여, 사회적 기업의 효과적 운영방안과 향후연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.

Social Support in the Times of Social Distancing: Learnings from the South Asian Context

  • This study will examine the relationship between social support from the work and family domains, referred to as multiple social network ties (MSNT), and employees' job and family-related performance outcomes during the COVID-19 crisis. The study also demonstrates the importance of employees' work-family balance (WFB) in moderating the association between MSNT and job and family-related performance. A two-wave design was used to collect data from 320 managerial level personnel in Pakistan's textile sector. The path analysis technique of structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to analyze the responses. In times of crisis, social support mechanisms could potentially replace organizational support mechanisms for employees dealing with work and family obligations, according to the study. The findings of this study show that work-family balance is a significant partial mediator between MSNT and employees' job and family-related outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a best-fit model. This research supports the pragmatic view of MSNT's action mechanism in generating jobs for employees and family-related results, especially in uncertain situations. According to the findings, employees who have a positive work-life balance are happier and more productive in both work and personal life. It has major implications for human resource management (HRM) research and practice.

한국 도서관경영 연구의 성과와 한계 (Outcomes and Limitations of the Library Management Research in Korea)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내에서 수행된 도서관경영분야의 연구동향을 분석하고 성과와 한계를 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 한국연구재단에 등재된 문헌정보학분야의 5개 학술지를 대상으로 2001에서 2010까지 발표된 총 2,567편의 논문을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 도서관경영논문의 비중은 전체의 21.8%(560편)로 나타났다. 도서관경영분야의 하위영역 중에서 연구성과가 높은 분야는 경영일반, 정책과 제도, 인사관리, 측정과 평가인 반면에 조직 및 예산관리, 건물과 시설, 마케팅과 홍보분야의 연구성과는 매우 미약하였다.

중국 건설기업의 교육훈련 시스템 분석 및 개선방안 (Assessment of Education/Training System and Improvement Plan - Focused on the Chinese Construction Industry -)

  • 본 연구에서는 중국의 건설시장 분석, 인력관리실태 조사/분석 등을 통하여 인력관리 시스템 효율화를 위한 전반적인 전략계획을 제안하고자 한다. 연구의 방법은 중국 현지 건설 기업의 관리자 및 기술자를 대상으로 설문조사 및 심층 인터뷰를 시행하고 분석하였다. 분석에 의하면 중국 건설기업들은 전반적으로 효과적인 교육/훈련의 실시에 적극적이지 못한 것으로 나타났으며 교육 및 기술인력 훈련을 위한 시스템의 구축이 미흡하고 활용 가능한 자료가 매우 한정적인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 분석 결과에서 도출된 문제점들을 기반으로 중국 건설기업의 교육시스템 개선을 위한 부문별 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

프랜차이즈 모기업 핵심역량 자원이 가맹점 관계결속과 재계약의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Core Competence and Resource Sharing on the Relational Bond among Franchisees and on Re-contract Intention in the Franchising Parent Companies)

  • Purpose - The domestic franchise industry has made significant contributions to industry such as investment, employment, and community economy development, facilitating growth potential. The franchise industry provides management knowhow transfer between parent companies and franchisees as per contracts addressing use of business signs, franchisees' independent position, franchisor support, and royalties to be paid to the franchisors. However, many franchisors lack management knowhow and provide insufficient support because of poor control of franchisees and not having a systematic approach to support. This results in dissatisfied franchisees and failure to establish long-term relationships. Few studies have examined relational commitment and/or re-contract intention by support resources between franchisors and franchisees, despite a considerable output of theories and studies of the growth of the franchise industry. The purpose of this study, therefore, was to examine the effects of the ability to provide resources on relational commitments and re-contract intention, and to suggest causal relationships and implications. Research design, data, and methodology - The subject was domestic franchisors registered with the Association of Franchise with more than 50 franchisees. Franchisees under contract for 2 years and considering re-contract of their franchise 2 years later were used. The subjects totaled 300 franchisees in Seoul. A questionnaire survey was used to investigate the subject of franchisees' concessions during the 10 days from November 21, 2013 to November 30, 2013. After excluding 16 surveys with poor answers, 284 responses were finally used. Four areas and 44 questions were used. A nominal scale was used for four common characteristics questions including gender, ages, educational background, and franchise managing time. Questions regarding ability, relational commitment, and re-contract intention made use of a Likert 5-point scale. Data coding and data cleaning were used. SPSS 18.0 was used as follows. First, frequency analysis was done to investigate demographic characteristics. Second, exploratory factor analysis was done to verify validity of testing tools, and Cronbach's α coefficient was used to verify reliability. Third, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were done. An exploratory factor analysis was done to verify validity of concepts. A correlation analysis was done to test relationships between the variables, and multiple regression analysis was done to verify franchisor's ability, franchisees' relational commitment, and re-contract intention. Results - The following were the outcomes. First, store operation management, finance operation management, and human resource management affected the calculated bond. Second, store operation management and finance operation management affected the emotional bond. Third, store operation management, finance operation management, human resource management, and marketing management affected the prescriptive bond. Fourth, calculated bond and prescriptive bond had an effect on re-contract intention. Conclusions - As stated above, in franchise management, parent companies' offer and instruction of core competence to their franchisees as an information resource could improve the relational bond by helping them grow together through the resource sharing. Consequently, core competence factors were promoting factors that could improve franchisees' re-contract intention for a long time.

중소기업 학습조직 활성화가 생산성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the influence of Productivity improvement of middle and small sized company's learning organization on productivity)

  • In knowledge information society entering global unlimited competition era, our middle and small sized companies are the base of national and enterprise competitiveness and core base of national economy as an origin of jobs. The competitiveness of middle and small sized companies is so important to decide the level of the competitiveness of the whole industries, but the gap from big sized company is much low in comparison with advanced countries from angles of important factors of enterprise growth, productivity and technological competitiveness, so, it's urgent to improve the competitiveness through productivity enhancement. The purpose of this research is to do a positive study on effects of learning organization management outcomes of middle and small sized company on enterprise productivity among various types of outcome brought for strengthening of enterprise competitiveness. It confirmed learning organization has functions and usefulness as a management tool bringing positive effects on enterprise productivity through the Productivity improvement.
