'Hyao' has been studied by several Korean psychiatrists, mostly in relation to Oedipus complex and psychopathological implications. The present authors propose that 'Hyao' should be understood as being broader and more basic in its meaning and functions which are listed as the follows. 1) Hyao as an attachment, mutual dependence and basic trust between the generations. 2) Hyao as a control mechanism of aggression between the generations. 3) Hyao as a control and resolving mechanism of oedipus complex. 4) Hyao as an organizer of personality development and self-actualization. These functions of Hyao were integrated in a developmental perpective and, the role and responsibilities of parents in promoting and offering their model behavior for positive identification were discussed. 'Hyao' is suggested as being primarily mutual attachment and reverence(respect) between the generations which promote healthy resolutions of issues and conflicts of each developmental stage to be followed.

Background: There has been on increasing emphasis on the importance of monitoring the safety of participants in a clinical trial to protect patients and maintain the integrity of the trial. The independent data monitoring committee (IDMC) has become common component of randomized clinical trials in recent years. Methods: It is important to consider the implications of different approaches that are being used in various countries. IDMC guidelines in Korea, US, and Europe were reviewed and compared to provide the objective, composition and operation of IDMC in detail. Results: IDMC is a group of experts in related subject are as who perform interim data monitoring to make a recommendation to the sponsor or organizer regarding appropriateness of trial continuation and the need for modifications of the trial. Independence of IDMC is preferred in order to minimize influence of factors unrelated to scientific, medical and ethical considerations that should underlie decision-making. Conclusion: IDMC has become an increasingly important component of clinical trials in recent years. Practical operating procedures need to be developed considering the future regulatory status of data monitoring committees.

Special AT-rich sequence binding protein 1 (SATB1) is a nuclear matrix-associated DNA-binding protein that functions as a chromatin organizer. SATB1 is highly expressed in aggressive breast cancer cells and promotes growth and metastasis by reprograming gene expression. Through genome-wide cross-examination of gene expression and histone methylation, we identified SATB1 target genes for which expression is associated with altered epigenetic marks. Among the identified genes, long noncoding RNA urothelial carcinoma-associated 1 (UCA1) was upregulated by SATB1 depletion. Upregulation of UCA1 coincided with increased H3K4 trimethylation (H3K4me3) levels and decreased H3K27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) levels. Our study showed that SATB1 binds to the upstream region of UCA1 in vivo, and that its promoter activity increases with SATB1 depletion. Furthermore, simultaneous depletion of SATB1 and UCA1 potentiated suppression of tumor growth and cell survival. Thus, SATB1 repressed the expression of oncogenic UCA1, suppressing growth and survival of breast cancer cells.

Inhibitory effect of caffeine on NIH3T3 cell proliferation was studied by using [$^3H$]thymidine incorporation and a modified one-step silver staining technique. The latter technique shows argyrophilic nucleolar organizer region-associated proteins (Ag-NORs), which are seen in nuclei as black dots. The result was compared with the counts of [$^3H$] thymidine incorporation. The results were summarized as follows; 1. The Ag-NORs numbers of NIH3T3 cells were $6.81{\pm}1.38$ at 24 hrs, $7.13{\pm}1.26$ at 48 hrs, $8.50{\pm}2.04$ at 72 hrs after incubation. 2. The numbers of Ag-NORs were significantly decrease in caffeine treated groups (p<0.01). 3. The counts of [$^3H$] thymidine incorporation were similar to the result of using Ag-NORs staining technique. It is concluded that Ag-NOR is a rapid, simple and compatible method to quantitate cell proliferation as compared with [$^3H$]thymidine incorporation.

수학교육세계회의(數學敎育世界會議)(ICME)는 ICME수학교육국제위원회(數學敎育國際委員會)가 4년마다 한 번씩 개최하는 행사이다. 수학교육세계회의(數學敎育世界會議)(ICME-9)는 올해(2000년) 7월 31일(월)${\sim}$8월 6일(일)에 일본의 Tokyo동경(東京) 근교 Chiba의 Makuhari막장(幕張)서 개최된다. 전세계에서 4,000여명이 참가하는 큰 규모의 수학교육 관련 행사로써 아시아에서는 처음으로 열린다. 특히 이번 ICME에서는 우리 나라 수학교육자들이 많이 참여하게 되었다. 권오남, 박한식, 신현용 교수는 정규 강연(Regular Lecture)을 하게 되었고, 강완 교수 등 일곱 사람은 분과 모임(WGA, TSG)의 조직 위원(Organizer) 등을 맡아 이 행사의 준비 단계에서부터 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 그 동안 수학교육에 나타난 떠들썩한 이론들은 거의 대부분 서양에서 시작하였고 우리는 이것을 받아들이기에 급급하였다. 그러나 우리의 주위를 살펴보면 우리에게도 전세계에 알릴 것들이 많이 있다. 이러한 것을 찾아서 더욱 갈고 다듬어서 소개할 때가 되었다. 불확실하거나 흩어진 자료들은 체계적으로 정리하는 한편 그 동안 축적된 경험과 정보들은 세밀히 분석하고 또 이론을 세워서 내어 놓아야한다. 우리 모두 ICME-9에 적극적으로 참여하여 새 천년의 우리 나라 수학교육을 한 단계 높여 보자.

This paper advances the thesis that the barrier separating curriculum theorists and practitioners is more than a difference in experiential and methodological orientation and is in part a product of a lack of appreciation of the complexities involved in curriculum development and dissemination. Discussed here is the possible use of engineering theory to facilitate meaningful communication and understanding about products and development. This work is an extension of the observation that curriculum development and dissemination can be characterized as an engineering process and shows how engineering theory provides connectivity between the multiple embedded domains of theory and of practice. To illustrate the thesis this paper offers an analysis of the Developmental Approaches in Science, Health, and Technology (DASH) program that has employed engineering theory in curriculum construction and dissemination. In this study, the role and place of engineering theory as applied to the DASH program is discussed to show how the components were designed and assembled into a fully functional curriculum and dissemination system. Engineering theory is presented as an interfacing organizer with the potential to facilitate meaningful communication between theorists and practitioners.

Korea has been issued on K4 Firewall Certificates for security, and these K4 Firewalls has been installing all Korean public organizer. In this paper, I would analysis process and functions of K4 Firewall. I had been created by difference and performance test between existing 32bit and latest 64bit K4 Firewall System on Solaris Operating System that wide use in Korea So that the result of improved more two times passed rate on 64bit than 32bit on Solaris K4 Firewall System At finally, I would conclude that the change direction will be useful for research and development on K4 Firewall System and Korean Firewall System which is a very competitive system in the world.

Purpose: This study examined the definition of care coordination, and the activities and roles of nurse care coordinators. The study also proposed suggestions for establishing and expanding the role of nurse care coordinators in community health practice. Methods: This study derived its conclusions by conducting a literature review. Results: The definition of care coordination is a comprehensive concept that includes case management and transitional care, and can be summarized as organizer and integrator of care. According to the literature review, 12 activities and 6 roles of nurse care coordinator were identified such as a collaborator, an individualized care planer, an educator/counselor, a direct nursing care providers, a population care coordinator, and a program evaluator. Training for nurse care coordinators is currently addressed in the Primary Medical Chronic Disease Management Program. Visiting nurses working at the Eupyeong-dong visiting health and welfare service are expected to act as nurse care coordinators, and the role of nurse care coordinators will, in the future, gradually increase in various nursing facilities. Conclusion: In addition to developing competencies to act as a nurse care coordinator, there is need for approaches to health policy that develop both independent role and population focused role as care coordinators.

This paper can prove market and the characteristics of society through the corresponding results. Results - This paper can suggest the novel idea on market development and the big possibility depend on ACE country and can describe the possibility on new market because of low smart phone market penetration and low digital market penetration. Conclusions - This paper concludes to develop e-business, culture friendly ship, linking with education, development of appropriate technology depend on country, and should develop new strategy for market extend to low penetration.

I would evaluate the performance tests between the before setting and the after setting of Packet Filtering, NAT, Proxy, and Authentication services on functions of Solaris K4 Firewall System. Also I had been created by performance test between existing 32 bit and latest 64 bit K4 Firewall System on Solaris Operating System, So that the result of improved more two times passed rate on 64bit than 32bit on Solaris K4 Firewall System, At finally, I would conclude that the change direction will be useful for research and development on K4 Firewall System and Korean Firewall System which is a very competitive system in the world.
