Physical Properties of Untwisting Chromospheric Surges of AR 10930

  • We report untwisting chromospheric surges of AR 10930. Hinode Solar Optical Telescope (SOT) observed AR 10930 on the west limb continuously from 11:21 UT December 18 to 09:58 UT December 19, using the Ca II H broadband filter. During the observation, rise and fall motion accompanying rotation appeared recursively. There occurred a total of 14 surges at AR 10930 over 17 hours. The average duration was 45 minutes, and the average width, and length were 8 Mm, and 39 Mm, respectively. The dynamic properties including number of turns from the rise to the fall, the axial speed and acceleration are also analyzed. We speculate that the surges occurred by recursive reconnections between the twisted prominence and large untwisted flux tube.

  • 본 논문은 연속 초음파 영상에서 움직임 보상 시간 필터를 적용하여 영상의 품질을 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 비선형 광학 흐름 추정 방법을 이용하여 화소 단위의 움직임을 추정하고, 이를 바탕으로 시간적 재귀 필터링을 적용한다 화소 단위 움직임 벡터의 양이 작을 경우 필터링을 크게 하고, 움직임 벡터의 양이 클 경우 필터링을 작게 적용한다. 그 결과 프로브에 의한 전역적 움직임과 측정 대상물에 의한 국부적 움직임으로 발생되는 블러 현상을 극소화하고 잡음을 감소시켜 영상의 품질을 향상시켰다.

  • In this study PLZT was selected which has the excellent quadratic electro-optic property and slim-loop. It was fabricated by the methods of vacuum hot-pressing and sintering. The electrode of color filter was evaporated using the interdigital type masks. Through XRD have we investigated the molecular structure composition formular. Hysteresis and transmission characteristics were measured, The transmission of RGB was envestigated. We are going to study the correlation of coercive field and the nontransmited field.

FBG를 이용한 DWDM용 OADM의 온도 특성에 관한 연구 (Thermal Characteristics of an OADM Using FBG for a DWDM)

  • 본 논문에서는 FBG 필터로 구성된 DWDM용 OADM을 제안하고 그 온도 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 제안된 OADM의 온도 특성을 분석하기 위해서, OADM의 온도 응답을 구하고 수치 해석하였으며, OADM을 제작하여 그 출력 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 그 결과로 부터 $-30^{\circ}C{\sim}90^{\circ}C$ 범위 내에서 제안된 OADM의 출력 스펙트럼 중심 파장이 약 0.01230$nm/^{\circ}C$로 변화함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The field sequential liquid crystal display (FSLCD) does not need a color filter so that it is suitable for high resolution display. However, FSLCD has a drawback which requires a fast response time of sub-5 ms. We have studied the FSLCD with electrically controlled birefringence (ECB) mode. The ECB mode exhibits fast response time, high transmittance, low operating voltage and adequate viewing angle with a help of optical compensation films. In this paper, we present electro-optic characteristics of the ECB mode using a discotic film.

홀로그래픽 반사형 간섭필터의 제작 (Development of Holographic Reflection Filters)

  • 반사형 홀로그래픽 광학소자인 간섭필터를 제작하였다. 감광재료는 dichromated gelatin (DCG) 필름을 사용하였으며, 고성능의 간섭필터를 얻기 위하여 기존의 DCG 처리 방법을 수정하여 소개하였다. 제작된 간섭필터의 중심 파장에서의 최대 회절효율은 93%, 이때 대역폭은 17 nm 였다. 노출량에 따라 간섭필터의 중심파장과 대역폭의 변화를 측정하였으며, 이에 따른 DCG 필름의 특성을 분석하였다.

Dimming Control of LED Light Using Pulse Frequency Modulation in Visible Light Communication

  • Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are modulated using a square wave pulse sequence for flicker prevention and dimming control in visible light communication (VLC). In a VLC transmitter, the high and low bits of the non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data are converted to two square waves of different frequencies, which continue for a finite time defined by the fill ratio in an NRZ bit time. As the average optical power was kept constant and independent of data transmission, the LED was flicker-free. Dimming control is carried out by changing the fill ratio of the square wave in the NRZ bit time. In the experiments, the illumination of the LED light was controlled in the range of approximately 19.2% to 96.2% of the continuous square wave modulated LED light. In the VLC receiver, a high-pass filter combined with a latch circuit was used to recover the transmitted signal while preventing noise interference from adjacent lighting lamps.

실시간영상에서의 움직임 검출 및 추적구현에 관한 연구 (Implementation of motion detection and tracking in the real-time image.)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 영상에서 움직임 검출 및 추적에 관련한 기본 기술들을 나열하고 구현하여 구현 가능성 및 성능에 대하여 검증을 진행하였다. 움직임 검출에는 배경 차영상 기법에 의한 움직임 및 변화 영역 검출 방법과 움직임 히스토리에 의한 움직임 검출법, 광류에 의한 움직임 검출법이 있으며 이를 구현하여 검증하였다. 또한 움직임 추적의 경우에는 추적하려는 물체의 히스토그램의 역투영을 이용하면서 물체의 중심점을 추적하는 MeanShift와 물체의 중심, 크기, 방향을 함께 추적하는 CamShift가 있고 Kalman 필터에 의한 움직임 추적을 구현하여 검증하였다. 구현된 방법을 통하여 보안용의 영상감시 장비의 추적 시스템 및 GPS 좌표를 기반으로하여 비행체를 추적하면서 통신링크를 유지하는 추적안테나 시스템에 적용하므로서 제어의 정확도를 높일 수 있다.

A Spectral-spatial Cooperative Noise-evaluation Method for Hyperspectral Imaging

  • Hyperspectral images feature a relatively narrow band and are easily disturbed by noise. Accurate estimation of the types and parameters of noise in hyperspectral images can provide prior knowledge for subsequent image processing. Existing hyperspectral-noise estimation methods often pay more attention to the use of spectral information while ignoring the spatial information of hyperspectral images. To evaluate the noise in hyperspectral images more accurately, we have proposed a spectral-spatial cooperative noise-evaluation method. First, the feature of spatial information was extracted by Gabor-filter and K-means algorithms. Then, texture edges were extracted by the Otsu threshold algorithm, and homogeneous image blocks were automatically separated. After that, signal and noise values for each pixel in homogeneous blocks were split with a multiple-linear-regression model. By experiments with both simulated and real hyperspectral images, the proposed method was demonstrated to be effective and accurate, and the composition of the hyperspectral image was verified.
