내사고성이 우수한 냉간 압연용 단강 Roll 재질 개발 (An Improved Alloy for Forged Rolls for Cold Rolling)

  • The process of cold rolling is becoming more severe with the increase in the production of high tensile steel strip as a result of increased demand. Consequently, there is a need to develop work roll materials with better resistance to wear and roll failure. DOOSAN has developed an improved in-house 5%Cr alloy, New HSR1, with properties superior to the existing in- house 5%Cr alloy, Old HSR1. Test alloys were designed with controlled amounts of Si and Mn based on Old HSR1 and an optimum alloy was chosen based on thermal shock tests. A prototype work roll was manufactured with New HSR1, and properties of test specimens were evaluated. The results indicated that New HSR1 has better properties than Old HSR1. After application of New HSR1 work rolls, productivity increased due to advanced resistance to wear and roll failure.

Effects of Lignocellulosic Growing Media to The Prevention of Forest Soil Erosion

  • The forest slopes cause substantial local changes in soil properties and an increase in soil erosion after extreme rainstorms. The high soil erosion rates on forest slopes need the effective use of growing media to control the soil runoff. Therefore, we prepared six different lignocellulosic growing media such as peat, perlite, and wood meal as the base materials and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), glucomannan, starch, old corrugated containerboard, and computer printout as the additional materials for the prevention of simulated rainfall-induced runoff. The growing media containing old corrugated containerboard efficiently reduced the percentage of soil runoff; however, it could not completely cushion the influence of crust. The best results for plant growth, except in the leaf area, were also obtained with the growing media containing old corrugated containerboard, suggesting an interesting way of paper recycling and an economic benefit for plant or crop growth in forest slope.

  • The increase of wet web solid content after wet press and dry compressive strength were observed in lab study by judicious application of wood flour and starch for the old corrugated container (OCC). Pearl starch was better than cationic starch in strength development, but cationic starch was better for drainage. Application of vacuum on the mixed solution of wood flour and starch helped strength development further without loss of other properties. The effect of wood flour addition on wet web solid content improved as the wet pressing pressure increased. The use of wood flour and starch mixture improved wet web solid contents further.

고불선원 신종교 관련 자료 연구 (Study on New Religious Materials Preserved at Gobulseonwon Monastery)

  • 충북 충주시 고불선원(古佛禪院)의 선원장(禪院長)이 소위 '육필 대순전경'과 '천심경', 가사집, 간찰 등을 언론에 공개한 바 있고, 이후 관련한 조사연구보고서와 단행본이 발간되었다. 해당 자료는 고불선원 측에서는 대순전경 필사본의 경우 1910년에 작성되었다고 보고 있다. 이외에 『천심경』, 가사집, 간찰 역시 증산과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 판단하고 있는데, 『천심경』을 증산이 직접 쓴 것으로 보거나, 『참 정신(情神)으로 배울 일』 가사집에서의 신앙의 대상을 증산으로 여기거나, 간찰 등이 증산 당대의 시대상황을 담고 있는 것으로 소개되었다. 그러나 『참 정신으로 배울 일』은 20편에 가까운 갱정유도의 가사들을 모은 가사집이고, 『천심경』은 증산의 자필로 작성된 것이 아닌, 기문둔갑에서 사용하는 '전도주(傳道咒)'에서 왔을 개연성이 크다. 간찰 36종은 일상 생활에서의 비근한 일들을 담아낸 평범한 간찰이다. 곧 이들 자료들은 증산과 관련이 없다. 『대순전경』 필사본은 전남 장성에 거주했던 이양섭이 『대순전경』 초판을 1957년에 필사한 것으로, 뒤에 「채약가」, 「제세신약가」 등 여러 종교가사를 비롯한 자료들을 함께 수록함으로써 그 의미가 크다. 특히 아직 출전 미상으로 남아 있는 자료들에 대해 보다 더 주의를 기울일 필요가 있다. 이들 고불선원에서 소장한 자료들은 갱정유도, 증산교단 등의 여러 한국 신종교와 관련한 가치가 높은 자료들이다. 이들 자료의 온전한 성격을 찾아줄 필요가 있을 것으로 보이며, 이 역시 신종교 연구에 있어 일조가 될 것으로 생각한다.

중년기 농촌여성의 노후준비와 관련변인 연구 (The Later Preparation and Its Related Variables in the Middle'Rural Women)

  • In order to promote well-being during old age, it is important to start preparing early on for the later life. Based on this thesis, this study examined attitudes of the middle-aged women residing in rural towns on their preparation for old age as well as related variables. For this purpose, survey data from 200 individuals were analyzed using a SAS program. The overall degree of preparation for old age was quantified as about 67 points out of a 100 possible points. The variables that affected the level of preparedness include attitude toward using a paid nursing home ($\beta$=.23), type of agricultural work they engage in ($\beta$=-.21), who do you think is a supporter during your old age($\beta$=.20)], type of decision-making in the household ($\beta$=.17). The explanatory power of such variables as standards of living ($\beta$=.18), family type ($\beta$=-.18), recognition of the entrance of old age ($\beta$=.17), and preparation behavior for old age ($\beta$=.15) were partially proved in three sub-areas (economical, emotional, and leisure areas) of preparation. The groundwork of this study could be used as basic materials to develop an educational program to improve the attitudes toward preparation for old age.

New Approach to Chuncheon Dakgalbi Processing by Various Chicken Materials, Seasoning and Cooking Methods

  • This research was conducted to develop a new approach to Chuncheon Dakgalbi processing by various chicken materials, seasoning (conventional sauce/CS and new approach of seasoning by adding the curing mixture/CSA), and cooking methods. Three chicken breeds (broiler, old broiler and spent laying hen) were divided into five experimental groups: broiler-CS, old broiler-CS, old broiler-CSA, spent laying hen-CS, and spent laying hen-CSA. All samples were stored at $5^{\circ}C$ for 12 d. For sensory evaluation, all samples were cooked with conventional cooking (pan grilling) or high temperature and pressure cooking (at $121^{\circ}C$ with pressure 1.5 $Kg_f/cm^2$ for 30 min). The chicken material analysis showed that the moisture and crude protein content, cooking loss and shear-force of the old broiler and spent laying hen were higher (p<0.05) than those of the current broiler, but the crude ash, crude lipid and WHC were lower (p<0.05). The addition of CSA increased the pH value and reduced the lipid oxidation at the end of storage regardless of chicken breeds (p<0.05). The high temperature and pressure cooking method seemed to increase the taste, smell and overall-acceptability scores of the old broiler and spent laying hen Chuncheon Dakgalbi regardless of the implementation of new approach of seasoning (CSA). In conclusion, an old broiler and spent laying hen can be used as material of Chuncheon Dakgalbi by the application of a new approach of seasoning and cooking method.

노약자를 위한 지하철 의자 디자인 방향제시 (Passenger Car‘s Chair Design Proposal for old and handicapped people)

  • As number of old and handicapped passengers is increasing in an aging society, it is becoming more and more important to provide safe and convenient subway interior design and direction. In this research, we study basic indispensable conditions for subway chair and propose a chair design direction for old and handicapped people considering their use. In this study, we elicit the rational result based on analysis of Seoul subway design direction. This study should be expanded into universal design for not only old people but also pregnant people and children. The chair for old people is needed to have side partitions and a safety bar for safe walking and to be made of soft materials which has some cushion.

퍼트남자료관에 소장된 로웰의 조선관련 사진 아카이브에 대한 고찰 (A Study of Lowerll's Photographic Materials of Chosön Archived in Putnam Collection Center)

  • 미국인 퍼시발 로웰은 최초로 사진기를 가지고 1883년에 조선에 정식으로 입국한 외국인으로서 고종의 사진을 비롯한 80여장의 사진자료를 남겼다. 이 사진자료들은 모두가 한국의 사진 역사상 최초이자 유일한 가치를 지니고 있으며 귀중한 역사적 정보를 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 적절한 연구가 수행된 적이 없다. 이 사진에 관련된 자료들은 대부분 미국에 소장되어 있는데, 사진과 관련된 정보는 많은 오류와 함께 웹사이트에 게시되고 있기 때문에 일부 책자와 연구자들에 의해서 오 인용되고 있다. 이에 필자는 로웰이 조선에서 촬영한 사진을 분석하여 그 내용을 파악하고, 사진자료의 대부분을 소장하고 있는 미국의 퍼트남자료관의 로웰의 조선관련 사진 아카이브의 문제점을 분석하고 오류에 대한 수정안을 제시했다.

노후된 알루미늄 압출기의 재제조 기술 개발 및 성능 개선 (Development and Performance Improvement of old Aluminum Extruder Remanufacturing Technology)

  • The domestic remanufacturing industry is concentrated in auto parts, so it is necessary to expand into various industries. In the domestic aluminum industry, the extrusion process accounts for more than 40% of the total, but the old and management of the extrusion equipment is not done properly. In particular, the extruder has a structure in which equipment is not replaced until major parts are damaged or worn, so there are problems such as lower process precision, productivity and production efficiency compared to new equipment, and high maintenance costs. In this study, the old extruder was remanufactured for major high-risk parts through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis(FMEA), and the process level and performance of the extruder were evaluated before and after remanufacturing. Compared to the existing extruder, the standard deviation of the remanufacture extruder was reduced by 93.5%, 57.9%, and 70.0%, respectively, in major process control items such as container temperature, billet temperature, and ram speed, keeping performance constant. In addition, it was possible to produce products with complex shapes that could not be produced before due to problems such as dimensional deviation within tolerances. In this study, remanufacturing guidelines were presented by analyzing the effect of failure modes of the old extruder, and the performance improvement of the extruder was confirmed.

  • The interface necessarily exists in joints using cement mortar, UP(Unsaturated Polyester : UP) mortar and SBR(SBR-latex) mortar. Characteristics of shear transfer in joint interface consisting of different materials are studied with experimental and analytical methods. The uniaxial compressive shear experiments are accomplished with various angle of inclination (35, 45, 55, 65, 75°), materials of old and new-cast mortar. In this study, The results are as follows ① Mohr-coulomb's slip theory be applied to the interface consisting different materials ② The cohesion of UP mortar is superior to that f cement mortar, SBR mortar.
