한국의 가짜 자영업 추정을 통해서 본 비정규 근로자 규모의 오류 (The Corrections of Errors in the Estimations on the Nonstandard Workers Scale by an Empirical Analysis of Bogus Self-employment in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 가짜 자영업자를 고려하고 있지 않은 비정규직 근로자 규모 추정 방식의 한계를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 가짜 자영업자는 근로관계의 실질에서 근로자처럼 종속성이 존재함에도 불구하고 자영업자로 간주하는 위장된 고용관계를 의미한다. 기존의 비정규직 근로의 규모 추정 방식은 실질적으로 임금근로자이지만 비임금 근로로 분류된 가짜 자영업자들을 추정에서 제외시키는 문제점을 안고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위하여 한국노동패널 자료 11차년도(2008년)-16차년도(2013) 자료를 토대로 가짜 자영업자를 추정하고, 이를 임금근로에 반영하여 비정규직 근로자 규모의 변화를 예측하였다. 관측기간 중에서 2013년도에 이르면 가짜 자영업자는 사업장이 없는 자영업자 중에서 28.5%를 차지할 만큼 규모가 크다. 또한 가짜 자영업자로 분류된 인원을 임금근로자 중 특수형태근로 종사자로 재배치하여 비정규직 규모를 추정하였는데, 이러한 추정방식에 따르면 가짜 자영업 인원이 반영된 특수형태근로자 비중은 한 해 만을 제외하고 임금근로자의 4.0% 이상을 유지할 만큼 높게 나타나 정부에서 발표한 규모는 현실보다 과소 추정되었다고 볼 수 있다. 통계청에서 공식적으로 발표한 임금근로자수에 특수형태근로자 비중을 적용한 결과 예측된 인원은 74만 명이 넘는 것으로 추정된다. 우리 사회에서 바람직한 비정규직 대책을 수립하기 위해서는 무엇보다 비정규직 범위와 규모를 합리적으로 도출하는 노력이 요구된다.

A NONSTANDARD FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD APPLIED TO A MATHEMATICAL CHOLERA MODEL

  • In this paper, we aim to construct a nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) scheme to solve numerically a mathematical model for cholera epidemic dynamics. We first show that if the basic reproduction number is less than unity, the disease-free equilibrium (DFE) is locally asymptotically stable. Moreover, we mainly establish the global stability analysis of the DFE and endemic equilibrium by using suitable Lyapunov functionals regardless of the time step size. Finally, numerical simulations with different time step sizes and initial conditions are carried out and comparisons are made with other well-known methods to illustrate the main theoretical results.

점탄성 또는 점탄성 감쇠처리된 구조물의 진동 감쇠 해석 (Vibration Damping Analysis of Viscoelastic and Viscoelastically Damped Structures)

  • We present finite element equations in the Laplace-domain for linear viscoelastic and viscoelstically damped structures governed by a constitutive equation involving factional order derivative opeartors. These equations yield a nonstandard eigenproblem consisted of frequency dependent stiffness matrix. To solve this nonstandard eigenproblem we suggest an eigenvalue iteration procedure in the Laplace-domain. Improved Zenor and GHM material function type constitutive equations in the Laplace-domain are also available for this procedure. From above equations, complex eigenvalues and complex eigenvectors are obtained. Using obtained eigenvalues and eigenvectors, time domain analysis is performed by means of mode superposition. Finally, finite element solutions of viscoelastic and viscoeleastically damped sandwich beam are presented as an example.

제논의 역설에 대한 철학적 검토를 통한 교육적 시사점 고찰 (A Study on the Educational Implications of Zeno's Paradoxes through Philosophical Investigation)

  • This study investigate philosophical discussions related to the Zeno's paradoxes in order to derive the mathematics educational implications. The paradox of Zeno's motion is sometimes explained by the calculus theories. However, various philosophical discussions show that the resolution of Zeno's paradox by calculus is not a real solution, and the concept of a continuum which is composed of points and the real number continuum may not coincide with the physical space and time. This is supported by the fact that the hyperreal number system of nonstandard analysis could be another model of a straight line or time and that an alternative explanation of Zeno's paradox was possible by the hyperreal number system. The existence of two different theories of the continuum suggests that teachers and students may not have the same view of the continuum. It is also suggested that the real world model used in school mathematics may not necessarily match the student's intuition or mathematical practice, and that the real world application of mathematics theory should be emphasized in education as a kind of 'correspondence.'

소득불평등 실태, 원인분석 및 과제: 도시근로자 가구를 중심으로 (An Analysis of the Conditions and Causes of Income Inequality: Focusing on the Urban Worker Households)

  • 본 연구는 소득불평등 실태 및 원인을 분석해 본 후, 소득불평등 완화에 도움이 될 수 있는 대안을 탐색해 보았다. 소득불평등 실태 및 원인 분석을 요약해 보면, 첫째 외환위기로 급등한 소득불평등도는 1999-2004년 동안 증감을 반복하였으며 2005년 현재 외환위기 직후와 같이 높은 수준이고, 둘째 소득불평등도 원인에 대한 장기분석(1985-2004년) 결과, 실업률, 비정규직비율, 지가상승률이 높을수록 소득불평등도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째 외환위기 전후(1995-2004)의 소득불평등도 원인분석 결과 실업률, 비정규직비율, 대 소기업임금비율이 높을수록 소득불평등도가 높은 것으로 나타났고, 넷째 장기자료(1985-2004)에서 유의미한 영향을 미쳤던 지가상승률이 외환위기 전후자료(1995-2004)에서는 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았고, 장기자료에서 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았던 대 소기업임금비율은 외환위기 전후 자료에서는 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 소득불평등 완화를 위한 정책과제로, 첫째 실업률을 낮출 수 있는 대안이 마련되어야 하며, 둘째 비자발적 비정규직 비율을 완화시킬 수 있는 정책이 수립되어야 하고, 셋째 부동산 가격을 안정 또는 인하할 수 있는 방안이 강구되어야 하며, 넷째 대기업과 중소기업의 임금격차를 줄일 수 있는 중소기업 종합지원대책이 추진되어야 한다.

STABILITY OF A CLASS OF DISCRETE-TIME PATHOGEN INFECTION MODELS WITH LATENTLY INFECTED CELLS

  • This paper studies the global stability of a class of discrete-time pathogen infection models with latently infected cells. The rate of pathogens infect the susceptible cells is taken as bilinear, saturation and general. The continuous-time models are discretized by using nonstandard finite difference scheme. The basic and global properties of the models are established. The global stability analysis of the equilibria is performed using Lyapunov method. The theoretical results are illustrated by numerical simulations.

Is Nonstandard Employment Hazardous to Workers' Health Status? A Focus on Special Employment in South Korea

  • Purpose: Workers in special employment relationship (WSERs) are workers in nonstandard employment arrangements who lack worker protection accorded in standard employment arrangements. This study aimed to describe self-rated health (SRH) and depressive symptoms (DS) among Korean WSERs in comparison to regular wage workers (RWW) and identify associations between working conditions and those outcomes. Methods: In this study, secondary data analysis using the 5th Korean Working Conditions Survey was used. The sample totaled 29,120, including 1,538 WSERs and 27,564 RWWs. Sociodemographic and work-related characteristics were employed as explanatory variables and SRH and DS as dependent variables. Using multiple logistic regression, the determinants of fair/poor SRH and DS were identified. Results: The prevalence rates for fair/poor SRH and DS in WSERs were 25.2% and 28.3%, respectively, and 20.7% and 25.0% in RWWs, respectively. Compared to RWWs, WSERs had 31% (aOR=1.31, 95% CI=1.14~1.49) and 20% (aOR=1.20, 95% CI=1.06~1.36) higher odds of SRH and DS, respectively. Some factors, such as a lack of rest guarantee and sickness presenteeism, had a larger influence in the WSER than in the RWW group. Conclusion: Compared to RWWs, WSERs reported having poorer working conditions and were more likely to report poor general and mental health. Therefore, in Korea, public health policymakers should consider measures to protect the working conditions and health of WSERs, a growing segment of the working population. The study produced new epidemiological evidence regarding the relationships between employment arrangements and health.

Choice of Statistical Calibration Procedures When the Standard Measurement is Also Subject to Error

  • This paper considers a statistical calibration problem in which the standard as wel as the nonstandard measurement is subject to error. Since the classicla approach cannot handle this situation properly, a functional relationship model with additional feature of prediction is proposed. For the analysis of the problem four different approaches-two estimation techniques (ordinary and grouping least squares) combined with two prediction methods (classical and inverse prediction)-are considered. By Monte Carlo simulation the perromance of each approach is assessed in term of the probability of concentration. The simulation results indicate that the ordinary least squares with inverse prediction is generally preferred in interpolation while the grouping least squares with classical prediction turns out to be better in extrapolation.

  • 시험기관은 표준화되지 않은 시험방법. 해당기관이 설계/개발한 방법 등에 의한 시험을 수행할 경우 방법의 유효성이 확인되어야만 사용할 수 있으며, 또한 측정값에 대한 불확도(Uncertainty)의 추정이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 케이블-하네스의 EMI 차폐효과시험방법에 대한 측정정밀도를 통계적 분석 방법 에 의거 검토하여 유효성을 확인하는 방법을 제시하고 시험결과에 대한 측정불확도를 추정하는 방법을 제시하였다.

오픈소스 소프트웨어를 활용한 자연어 처리 패키지 제작에 관한 연구 (Research on Natural Language Processing Package using Open Source Software)

  • Purpose In this study, we propose the special purposed R package named ""new_Noun()" to process nonstandard texts appeared in various social networks. As the Big data is getting interested, R - analysis tool and open source software is also getting more attention in many fields. Design/methodology/approach With more than 9,000 R packages, R provides a user-friendly functions of a variety of data mining, social network analysis and simulation functions such as statistical analysis, classification, prediction, clustering and association analysis. Especially, "KoNLP" - natural language processing package for Korean language - has reduced the time and effort of many researchers. However, as the social data increases, the informal expressions of Hangeul (Korean character) such as emoticons, informal terms and symbols make the difficulties increase in natural language processing. Findings In this study, to solve the these difficulties, special algorithms that upgrade existing open source natural language processing package have been researched. By utilizing the "KoNLP" package and analyzing the main functions in noun extracting command, we developed a new integrated noun processing package "new_Noun()" function to extract nouns which improves more than 29.1% compared with existing package.
