This study was conducted to diffusion of the health promotion program about no smoking in industry. No smoking program model composed of assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation was developed through the method of literature review and applied to 27 smokers of the management team and dept. of the 1st production in one industry, from October 27 to November 3D, 1993. For the analysis, descriptive statistics and paired t-test were used. The result of this study are summarized as follows: 1. The object was composed of no smoking and reduced smoking. The achievement rate of object was $48\%$. 2. As a result of the implementation of no smoking program, $11\%$ of no smoking rate was obtained. 3. After application of no smoking program, the health age was a little lower but statistical significations was not found. 4. Health education and support of family were effective in health promotion program. Complementary measures about indivisual activity for no smoking were required in no smoking program. In conclusion, subject's response about no smoking program was high and health education and support of family were effective in health promotion· program. And nurses were expected to do their roles as a planner, intervener, manager and supporter in health promotion services.

Objectives: This study Development of a healthy college life, and effective for smoking cessation programs for education is to utilize as a basis for. Methods: The study employs frequency analysis, cross-analysis and correlation analysis through SPSS Win 17.0 on 296 (84.6% of total participants) from the entire participants of 350. The significance test is delivered with ${\chi}^2$-test. Results: 1) The participants consist of 47.7% (147) males and 52.3% (161) females. 78.2% (241) has experience of smoking cessation program at high school. 61.7% (190) has parents who are smoking. 40.9% (126) answers that they are currently smoking while 59.1% (182) answers that they are not. 2) When asked about their perception on quitting smoking, 81.2% (250) says that non-smokers are distressed by others' smoking. 74.0% (228) has unpleasant experience with cigarette smoke. 3) The analysis of the relation between smoking cessation program at high school and smoking shows that 63.8% of the ones who have experience of the program are non-smokers while 68.7% of those with no experience of the program are smokers. 4) Among those who have tried to quit smoking, 73.9% have experience of smoking cessation program at high school. 31.8% of these participants also reveal their interest in the cessation program. 5) In the analysis of the correlation between smoking habits, the experience of smoking cessation program at high school is closely related to non-smoking while current smoking habit is highly related to the strong interest in participation of cessation program. Also, the more interest they have in participating, the stronger needs they feel for smoking prevention program at college. Conclusion: Therefore, the last phase of education-related courses at the University of educated and credits granted through open non-smoking pledge, non-smoking club, non-smoking camps, training programs, such as smoking in non-smoking education and programs for students interested in openness and participation must be done will.
Purpose: This study was to explore the differences of Korean and Chinese university students for developing smoking cessation program. Methods: The Data was collected from 120 Korean, 103 Chinese undergraduate students by using structured questionnaire from 1st April to 31st July, 2012. Results: The necessity of smoking cessation training was found that there were differences between two groups, showing that 60% of Korean university students and 35% of Chinese university studying in Korea were award of the necessity. For the score of smoking knowledge, there were significant differences between two groups, showing 13.60 from Korean students and 14.63 from Chinese students, but there were no differences towards Smoking attitude, self-efficacy related to smoking cessation, and Nicotine dependency. On the other hand, there were no significant differences toward demand of overall smoking cessation training between Korean and Chinese students, showing 43.4 and 45.1 scores in each group. Conclusion: The results of this study would be helpful to develop smoking cessation programs and health promotion strategies for both Korean and Chinese university students.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a smoking cessation program on processes of change, situational temptation, and decisional balance in male university student smokers. Method: Utilizing a quasi-experimental design, 78 male university students consisted of an experimental group (n=48) and a control group (n=30). A smoking cessation program was applied to the experimental group for a period of 6 months while no program was given to the control group. Study questionnaires were used to measure outcome variables before and after the program. Descriptive analysis, $\chi^2$-test, t-test, and ANCOVA were used with SPSS 18.0 program for data analysis. Results: After treatment with this program, the experimental group showed significantly higher scores for processes of change (experiential and behavioral processes of change) than the control group. The experimental group also showed significantly lower scores for situational temptation (positive social, negative affect, and habit strength). Conclusion: The smoking cessation program may have positive effects on process of change and smoking temptation for male university student smokers.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of follow-up support in the adolescent smoking cessation program. In this study, a model for an effective adolescent anti-smoking program, which includes follow-up support, is based on the method of cognitive-behavioral therapy. The study lasted for 7 weeks, while information on smoking including materials to be analyzed, were provided to the subjects. Meanwhile, the state of the smokers was studied while consultations on anti-smoking was also carried out in the 7th week. At first, the quantity of cigarettes smoked between groups made no difference, but there was an obvious difference in the rate of people who stopped smoking and in the quantity of cigarettes smoked between group I(managed for 7 weeks) ,group II (managed for only 4 weeks) and group III (not managed at all after anti-smoking class). According to the results of the study, we can conclude that the follow-up support plays a big role not only in raising the rate of success in the level of reformed smokers, but also in lowering the quantity of cigarettes smoked.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the conditions and problems of anti-smoking education programs in government office for civil servants. A mail-in survey was carried out for the chief of the general affairs of 248 government offices. 1. There were 154 responses to the surveys. Only 34 governmental offices have carried out anti-smoking education programs for civil servants. 2. Only one office has a department to supervise and anti-smoking program. 17 offices have 1 worker and thirteen offices have no manpower to supervise anti-smoking program. 3. Only eight offices have budgeted for anti-smoking programs. The average budget was 3,750,000 Won. Expected budget for smoking cessation program was 7,500,000 Won. 4. 25 offices have an anti-smoking lecture program for civil servants. Only five offices have an anti-smoking counseling for smokers. 5. Only seven surveys responded that civil servants had a positive response to anti-smoking programs. 6. The most important problem of anti-smoking programs in governmental offices was the lack of concern of civil servants. Governmental offices have to provide the greatest administrative services and services concerning the quality of life for citizens. Anti-smoking education programs in governmental offices for civil servants was the beginning of an activity of the services concerning the quality of life for citizens. Governmental offices have to actively implement anti-smoking programs for civil servants.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to effects of education program of smoking prevention and cessation through the linkages between subjects on smoking knowledge, grit, health promoting behaviors of college students in some area. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pre-post test design was used. The intervention group received the education program for 6 weeks from October 1 to November 15, 2019. The control group lived only usual daily life. Results: t-test showed that Smoking Knowledge (t=3.78, p<.001) and grit (t=3.75, p<.001) were significant differences between the two groups. In terms of health promotion behaviors, total(t=2.89, p=.002) and physical activity(t=3.20, p=.002), health responsibility(t=3.90, p<.001), spiritual growth(t=1.99, p=.049), interpersonal relations(t=2.61, p=.010) were significant difference between the two groups, in other hands nutrition(t=0.89, p=.372) and stress management(t=1.69, p=.092) were no significant difference between two groups. Conclusions: the education program of smoking prevention and cessation through the linkages between subjects was founded to be an effective education program in improving smoking Knowledge, grit, health promoting behaviors of college students in some area.
Objectives: This pre-post quasi-experimental study was designed to investigate the effects of school based smoking prevention education on knowledge and attitude toward smoking, and the satisfaction of education among middle school students. Methods: The subjects included 94 middle school students in the experimental group. and 87 students in the control group. The educational content contained smoking refusal skills, which were taught through lectures and videos. Data collection was achieved using a self-reported questionnaire developed by the investigator. Data were analyzed with the SPSS 10.0 program including frequency, percentile, X2, paired t-test, and ANCOVA. Results: The results were as follows: 1. After the smoking prevention education, the smoking knowledge of the experimental group was significantly improved, whereas that of control group didn't change significantly. 2. There were no significant differences between pretest and post test attitude scores in both groups. 3. Refusal skill was the education content that provided the highest satisfaction for the subjects, and the degree of satisfaction was higher with video watching than with a lecture. Conclusion: Smoking prevention education for middle school students increased their level of smoking knowledge, but did not affect their attitudes toward smoking. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a more effective program, and to evaluate the effects of a long term education program with further studies.

This study examined the effects of a non-smoking program according to the stress and emotional condition of male office workers. As research subjects, 106 smokers at C company who participated in the campaign of "No Second-Hand Smoking and No Cigarette Smoke at Work" from April 25, 2011 to December, 2011 for 8 months were enrolled in this study. Apreliminary survey of the general characteristics, motivation to quit smoking, emotional condition, behavior to cope with stress, stress in life, hope, and the emotional variables of job satisfaction in the research subjects was carried out. The study undertook a pre-and-post effect analysis of the non-smoking program only with those who succeeded in quitting smoking. In terms of the general characteristics of the subjects, the success rate of quitting smoking was higher in those in their thirties and above and those who were married. No significant difference in the emotional variables was observed between those who were not successful and those who were. These results suggest that the motives for stopping smoking and effective dealing with stress or anxiety is important for male office workers to succeed in stopping smoking, based on which smoking cessation programs should be developed. In addition, the message of a smoking cessation campaign should be designed specifically for each target audience, effectively emphasizing the emotional aspects of each target group.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of smoking cessation education using the transtheoretical model on the process of change, smoking temptation, decisional balance and stage change transition. Methods: A nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design was used for this study. The study population was 44 male college students in the experimental group and 66 students in the control group. Smoking cessation education was administered to the experimental group at one university. Descriptive analysis, t-test, and ANCOVA were used with the SPSS 19.0 program to analyze the data. Results: After providing a smoking cessation program, the experimental group showed significantly higher scores for self-efficacy for smoking cessation, process of change, and a lower score in decisional balance for pros of smoking and nicotine dependancy compared to the control group two weeks after the pre-test. However, no significant differences were found at four weeks after the pre-test. Conclusion: The findings indicate that this program could have a positive effect on process of change, decisional balance and stage transition for college student smokers.
