  • Objectives : The dysfunctional neural networks underlying self-evaluation in schizophrenia are overlapped with the neural structures involved in emotion regulation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of anhedonia on the self-evaluation attitude of patients with schizophrenia. Methods : Twenty healthy controls and twenty patients with schizophrenia performed a self-evaluation task, presenting a pair of the face (self, familiar other, and unfamiliar other) and word (negative, neutral, and positive noun) at the same time. Participants were asked to evaluate relevance between the pairs by pressing a corresponding button. Relevance rating scores were compared between the groups and were correlated with the severity of physical and social anhedonia. Results : Patients evaluated the condition of a self face with a negative word and a familiar face with a negative word to be more relevant than healthy controls. In the patient group, the scores of relevance rating in the condition of an unfamiliar other face with a negative word were positively correlated with the anhedonia scale scores (physical : r=0.486, p=0.030 ; social : r=0.499, p=0.025). There was no correlation between the self-evaluation attitude and the severity of anhedonia. Conclusion : Patients with schizophrenia evaluate themselves badly in only negative circumstances, and anhedonia is not related to self-evaluation, but rather other-evaluation.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of conflict and nurturing factors for the divorced parent on the behavioral adaptation of their children. The participants in this study include 216 children in divorced families nationwide. Structural Equation Modeling with LISREL8 was used for statistical method. In order to achieve the purpose, researchers firstly tried to test a construct validity of conceptual variables(parental conflict, negative attitude of parental nurturing, child's belief about parental divorce, child's aggression and child's delinquence) by employing exploratory factor analysis(EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA). Result showed that all the five conceptual variables were discriminated. It was identified as the fit index of path structure was good(CFI=.955, NNFI=.947, RMSEA=.046). The specific result were as follows: 1. the parental conflict(${\xi}1$) was directly related to the negative attitude of parental nurturing(${\eta}1$) and the child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$). 2. the parental conflict(${\xi}1$) was indirectly related to child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$), the child's aggression(${\eta}3$) and delinquence(${\eta}4$). 3. the negative attitude of parental nurturing(${\eta}1$) was directly related to the child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$). 4. the negative attitude of parental nurturing(${\eta}1$) was indirectly related to the child's aggression(${\eta}3$) and delinquence(${\eta}4$). Lastly, and, the child's belief about parental divorce(${\eta}2$) was directly related to the child's aggression(${\eta}3$) and delinquence(${\eta}4$). Researchers also identified the mediating effect of the parental nurturing between parental conflict and child's belief about parental divorce. On the basis of these results, this article provided some suggestions for promoting of children welfare.

The field self-questionnaire investigation has been performed from Oct 10th through 23rd in 1999. The whole 427 cases were distributed to 1st and 2nd grade students of randomly selected men's high school in Seoul. And 414 cases (97%) were finally selected for analysis after exclusion of cases with insufficient information. The main contents of questionnaire are composed of several sectors; the general characteristics of the interviewees, the relationship with parents, the life style and the peer relationship in school. And smoking-related characteristics are taken into consideration, too. The major findings of the study are as follows: The smoking/non-smoking related factors are, in socio-demographical terms, the grade, average spending per month of the interviewees. And the degree of satisfactory relationship with parents is significant on smoking behavior. The higher, the degree of satisfaction on school life and relationship with designated teacher, the more chances of non-smoking habit. Poor academic grades and peer group dependability of interviewees cause higher smoking habit rate in other way. The self-interviewees grade and cohabitation with parents are also significant on both the attitude toward smoking habit and the knowledge on smoking statistically. The academic history and vocations of the parents and the academic grades of interviewees are also effective variables, but don't make any gap between groups knowledge on smoking. Smoking groups used to have positive attitude toward smoking habit. Both the attitude and knowledge on smoking by the consideration of Quit-smoking have statistically significance. The groups which have negative attitude and high knowledge on smoking quit-smoking into consideration. And the primary cause of quit-smoking is on health by smoking. Depression, stress, adult smoking in the house, peer group pressure, cigarettes advertisements on papers and magazines and smoking scenes on TV have positive correlation on forming smoking habit (p〈0.001) But the knowledge on diseases triggered by smoking has negative correlation on forming smoking habit. (p〈0.05, p〈0.001). Social factors as monthly spending, relationship and communication with parents, the degree of satisfaction in school life, academic grades and student-teacher relationship have crucial negative correlation on smoking habit. That is to say, the higher, the monthly spending is, the worse, the relationship with parents and teachers is, the lower, the academic grades of the student is, the percentage of the interviewees who have smoking habit seems to get higher.

  • The purposes of this study were to estimate the effect of related factors such as cultural values and individual characteristics to consumer attitude, and furthermore to estimate the effect of consumer attitude and related factors such as price perception and individual characteristics to consumption behavior(expenditure) of food away from home. To do this, the data was collected from college students and a 2 step approach by using LIMDEP program was applied to estimate the structural equation model. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Consumer attitude toward food away from home was found to be significantly influenced by some cultural values such as health, sensibility, socially responsible consumption and religion, and individual characteristics such as sex and pocket money. If they perceived more positively about the value of health, sensibility and religion, they would be likely to have more positive attitude, while they perceived more negatively about the value of socially responsible consumption, they would be likely to have more negative attitude. In addition, if they were females and had much more pocket money, they would be more likely to have more positive attitude. 2) Expenditure of food away from home was found to be significantly influenced by age and pocket money, while consumer attitude did not have a significant impact on expenditure of food away from home at the second stage in the structural equation model. It might imply that consumption behavior of food away from home for college students would be more constrained by individual characteristics such as sex and economic capital.

Presence experience and message credibility have positive effects on advertisement attitude and WOM, and advertisement attitude also has a positive effect on WOM. Based on the results from this study, academic and practical implications can be drawn. First, the study extended the scope of research about SNS advertising through focusing on SNS service attribute and SNS users' cognitive characters and identified the relationship between presence experience, message credibility, advertisement attitude and WOM. Second, the results of this research can provide practical guidelines to develop effective advertising strategies for companies which promoting SNS as a marketing tool.

  • This study investigated the effect of emotional appeals on consumers' attitude towards fair trade apparel advertisements, and their intention to purchase those fair trade apparels. The interaction effect of the advertising channel and the mediation effect of perceived consumer effectiveness(PCE) were examined. Four stimuli were manipulated using two types of emotions(positive/negative) and two types of advertising channels(magazine/SNS) were used to analyze consumers' reaction. The results demonstrated the significant differences in attitude towards ads and purchase intention according to the types of emotional appeals used in fair trade apparel ads. However, the interaction effect between the types of emotion and advertising channels was not identified. The results of mediation analysis showed that positive emotion influenced purchase intention directly without forming a favorable attitude towards the ads, whereas negative emotion had no significant influence on attitude towards the ads and purchase intention. The results also identified that PCE mediated between emotion elicited by ads and purchase intention. This study suggests that delivering images and messages that creates positive emotion should be considered when fair trade ads are produced. In addition, fair trade ads need to be devised to enhance PCE by emphasizing that ethical choices of individual consumers can change the working environment of manufacturing countries.
