  • The meaning of images are changed rapidly by a time, and the images' social function and skills are different by times. Nowadays, the reasons to have different meanings of images are the different ways of representation and reproduction of images by new digital technologies. However, the images are communicating with each other, and the image makers should have responsibility to represent the images. Also, the images should be concerned in social, cultural context, and focused on positive ways to represent. It is hard to predict the future of images, but people shouldn't be controled by manipulated digital images. Therefore, image makers need to have right ethics and morals in digital era not to be controled by commercial enterprises.

  • This study argues that scholars lack an adequate conceptualization of the strategic use of social media framing by Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFAs) during crises. As a theoretical starting point, this article employs the concept of soft disempowerment to suggest that MFAs may use online framing to limit an adversary's range of possible actions during a crisis by depicting that adversary as violating norms and values deemed desirable by the international community. Next, the article introduces the concept of mutually assured delegitimization (MAD), which suggests that actors may call into question one another's adherence with certain norms and values during crises, which results in the mutual depletion of soft power resources. Importantly, this article proposes a novel, methodological approach for the analysis of individual tweets during crises. To illustrate its methodological and conceptual innovations, the study analyzes tweets published by the MFAs of the United States (US) and Russia during the Crimea crisis and demonstrates that both MFAs used Twitter to negatively frame each other by calling their morals into question, which resulted in MAD.

  • Growing environmental awareness around the world has made environmental issues increasingly important in business. While most past research has focused on consumers' sustainable morals and lifestyles as the main motivations for eco-friendly consumption, few studies have examined the effect of traditional marketing programs on sustainable consumption. In this study, the author posited that delicate visual cues in store retail environments, particularly visual cues of the store interiors, affect the ways consumers evaluate the brand. The author specifically tested the effect of visual congruence, or the perceived fit between brands and visual cues in retail atmospheres, on perceived brand image and trust. The results of the online survey of 622 U.S. consumers indicated that visual congruence has a significant positive effect on consumer trust in the brand. The author also hypothesized that environmental concerns would moderate the relationships. consumers' subjective environmental concerns do not moderate the positive effect of visual congruence on trust in the brand.

  • The present study has investigated and explored the role of Sungkyunkwan during the Joseon Dynasty and implications for modern education in South Korea using numerous literature dataset, such as google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science. Sungkyunkwan had a significant role in the Joseon dynasty's academic, social and political life. They were known as Sungkyunkwan scholars and were the elite group with a significant controlling influence over the governmental structure. In addition, they influenced policy-making, judiciary, and culture preservation through their understanding and application of Confucianism. More specifically, the Sungkyunkwan graduates were appointed to serve in many administrative capacities in Hanyang and other city provinces, spreading the culture and beliefs of Sungkyunkwan throughout the kingdom. According to the prior study, South Korea faces the issues of modernity; however, the approaches brought by Sungkyunkwan and the concept of education that was adopted still have their relevance. Education in modern Korean society is closely connected with scholars; schools and universities are built to cultivate brilliant individuals with solid morals and values for society. The spirit of Sungkyunkwan, which is about diligence, perseverance, and ethical conduct, is still rooted in the Korean educational system.

  • At present, Japanese textbooks of mathematics for elementary and secondary schools are thorized by the Ministry of Education. In former days, this system was also in effect for mentary schools until 1905 and for secondary schools until 1944. this article we discuss the start and the change of this system until 1905 and its influences the textbooks of mathematics. The main interest of the system was originally to prevent the textbooks from having the pressions which have the fear of breaking laws, disturbing the public morals or mistaking real facts. The interest changed to assure that the textbooks might comply with the ional standards of teaching syllabuses. And the standards such as the ones of the sizes of ers in the textbooks were made public one after another. The comments attached to the textbooks which applied for the authorization often pointed out use of unsuitable concrete numbers. The comments were often concerned with the difficulty words or sentenses for elementary schools and with the incorrectness of mathematical contents secondary schools. We conclude that the system encouraged the rapid modernization and regularization of Japanese tbooks during this period. We may note that there was a tendency not to adopt an extremely usual trial into the textbooks.
