In the course of Internet proliferation, many network-related technologies are examined for possible growth and evolution. The use of Internet-based technologies in private networks has further fuelled the demand for network-based applications. The most promising among the new paradigms is use of mobile agents. The mobile agent is capable of migrating autonomously from node to node in the network, to perform some computation on behalf of the user. The mobile agent paradigm is attractive alternative to traditional client-server programming for a significant class of network-centric applications. It also however, suffers from a major drawback, namely, the potential for malicious attacks, abuse of resources pilfering of information, and other security issues. These issues are significantly hampering the acceptance of the mobile-agent paradigm. This paper describe the design & implementation of secure mobile agent gateway that split and merge the agent cede with security policy database. This mechanism will promote the security in mobile agent systems and mobile agent itself.

Mobile-IP has been designed to have mobile computer users move from place to place without changing their IP addresses. Mobile-IP introduces the following entities to support mobility: Home Agent. Foreign Agent, etc., and it uses the techniques such as Agent Discovery, Registration. and Tunnelling. Mobile-IP route optimization provides a mechanism by which correspondent nodes are enable to know the mobile host's care-of address to alleviate the triangle routing problem. As a further performance improvement, to alleviate the overhead resulted from the frequent local mobility within a site hierarchical foreign agents are presented, and as a foreign agent which is willing to participate in communication maintain a buffering mechanism not to loss packets for mobile host, smooth handoffs is presented. In this paper, the problems to be thought to support host's mobility and the existing method to support it is discussed.
IETF's Mobile IP protocol allows Mobile Node(MN) to keep connection to Correspondent Node(CN) no matter what the MN changes its point of attachment to the Internet. However, the protocol incurs triangle routing problem, because all packets for the MN are routed through its Home Agent(HA). Route optimization mechanism is proposed by IETF in order to resolve triangle routing problem, but it requires that any node in the Internet should also implement route optimization mechanism. In this paper, we propose a new route optimization algorithm. With the algorithm, routers between HA and CN are considered as Intermediate Agent(IA), and packets transmitted by CN are not forwarded to HA but intercepted by IA and tunneled to MN directly.
In this paper, we implement and verify XMIP integrating IETF Mobile IP and the Explicit Multicast mechanism for a great number of small group multicast communications. U a source node sends Xcast packets explicitly inserting destination nodes into the headers, each Xcast router decides routes and forwards the packets toward each destination node based on unicast routing table without the support of multicast trees. n is a straightforward and simple multicast mechanism just based on a unicast routing table without maintaining multicast states because of the inheritance from the Explicit Multicast mechanism. This research modifies and extends the functionality of IETF Mobile IP's mobility agents, such as HA/FA to HA+/FA+ respectively, considering interworking with Xcast networks. Xcast packets captured by HA+ are forwarded into X-in-X tunnel interfaces for each FA+ referred to the binding table of HA.. This X-in-X tunneling mechanism can effectively solve the traffic concentration problem of IETF Mobile IP multicast services. Finally WLAN-based testbed is built and a multi-user Instant messenger system is developed as a Xcast application for finally verify the feasibility of the implemented XMIP/Xcast protocols.

The current trends in information technology and intelligent systems use data mining techniques to discover patterns and extract rules from distributed databases. In distributed environment, the extracted rules from data mining techniques can be used in dynamic replications, adaptive load balancing and other schemes. However, transmission of large data through the system can cause errors and unreliable results. This paper proposes the intelligent distributed platform based on dynamic group binding using mobile agents which addresses the use of intelligence in distributed environment. The proposed grouping service implements classification scheme of objects. Data compressor agent and data miner agent extracts rules and compresses data, respectively, from the service node databases. The proposed algorithm performs preprocessing where it merges the less frequent dataset using neuro-fuzzy classifier before sending the data. Object group classification, data mining the service node database, data compression method, and rule extraction were simulated. Result of experiments in efficient data compression and reliable rule extraction shows that the proposed algorithm has better performance compared to other methods.
Recently, according to rapid technological development trend of mobile devices revolutionary transforming our lives in various fields, thereby combining the latest in communications technology. These mobile devices to celebrate the digital convergence era are now created a new business model due to mobility. The mobile business operators obtains a user's location information using the smart phone. The mobile business operators provide users with the area or building-related information for the user on. The mobile business operators provide users profiles to advertisers and product sellers. In this study, I propose the mobile business model and that there are no technical problems design a conceptual framework on mobile agents for mobile operators.

Context-awareness is an important element that can provide service of good quality according to users' surrounding environment and status in ubiquitous computing environment. Information gathering tools for context-awareness use small size mobile devices which have easy movement and a mobile agent in mobile device. Now, Mobile agents are consuming much times and expense to collect and recognize each users' context information. Therefore, needs research about structure for users' context information awareness in early time to reduce mobile agent's load. This paper proposes a P2P mobile agent structure that mikes filtering techniques and a P2P agent in mobile agent. The proposed structure analyzes each user's context information in same area, and groups users who have similar preference degree. Grouped users share information using a P2P mobile agent. Also this structure observes and learns to continue on users' action and service, and measures new interrelation.

The more mobile devices consuming web services, the more QoS-aware selection of mobile web services, we need. A QoS(Quality of Service) contract is an agreement between the web service provider and the mobile user that specifies the level of the service quality. Web services users can be assured of the level of the service quality specified by the QoS contract. We propose a broker-based framework for QoS-aware mobile web services selection in this work. Under this architecture, the mobile users can request the web services through the service broker on the wireless networks. The service broker utilizes agents to monitor the web services quality and manages the service quality by notifying the service provider and mobile user of the service contract violation. Reliability, response time, and cost were the metrics used for QoS monitoring. Futhermore mobile users can select a web service best suited for his/her needs through the service broker.

Mobile computing environment makes it possible for computing activities to be maintained during movement even if a user changes its network point of attachment. Mobile IP is a standard protocol designed to be used in such mobile computing environment. However, Mobile IP has a drawback to incur a lot of handoff delays and waste network resources, since CoA(Care of Address) registration packets need to go through a HA(Home Agent) first whenever a mobile node moves. To solve this long-standing problem, this paper proposes a new scheme that, for infra-domain movement, efficiently performs local handoff without notifying the HA Specifically, based on the notion of load balance, the proposed scheme allows every FA(Foreign Agent) in a domain to become the root FA(also known as domain FA) dynamically, thus distributing the registration task into many other foreign agents. The dynamic root assignment through load balancing ultimately leads to fast network response due to less frequent transmission of registration packets.
