  • This paper related with the ECMA (Enchanced CMA) algorithm performance which is possible to simultaneously compensation of the amplitude and phase by appling the minimum disturbance techniques in the CMA adatpve equalizer. The ECMA can improving the gradient noise amplification problem, stability and roburstness performance by the minimum disturbance technique that is the minimization of the equalizer tap weight variation in the point of squared euclidiean norm and the decision directed mode, and then the now cost function were proposed in order to simultaneouly compensation of amplitude and phase of the received signal with the minimum increment of computational operations. The performance of ECMA algorithm was compared to present MCMA by the computer simulation. For proving the performance, the recovered signal constellation that is the output of equalizer output signal and the residual isi and Maximum Distortion charateristic and MSE learning curve that are presents the convergence performance in the equalizer and the overall frequency transfer function of channel and equalizer were used. As a result of computer simulation, the ECMA has more better compensation capability of amplitude and phase in the recovered constellation, and the convergence time of adaptive equalization has improved compared to the MCMA.

  • Recently, the demand of motor for industrial, household machinery is increasing. As Switching devices and control technology are progressing, so the use of BLDC Motor is increasing. But 3-Phase BLDC Motor generally used has pulsating torque and speed variation in commutation, so the range of its application is limited to high speed operation. Especially, to solve these problems, it is necessary to increase phase of Motor, so study of Poly-Phase BLDC Motor is progressing. However, when hysteresis current controller is used, switching frequency is highly increasing. In this paper, 7-Phase BLDC Motor drive system is designed. Also MSTC(Minimum Switching Time Controller) is proposed and with simulation and experiment, there validities are verified.

  • The end-point position control of a flexible manipulator is a non-minimum phase system. The PD feedback of the end-point position is not stable in contrast with that of the hub jangle. However, the system can be stabilized conditionally by the feedback of both the hub rate angle and the end-point position. Even in the non-minimum system, the LQG/LTR control law is more systmatic controller design method than the classical control law which uses a root-locus technique.

  • A hydraulic system is difficult to keep the performance due to non-linearity, load pressure which changes according to working condition and system parameter variation, the requirement of control algorithm has been risen in order to satisfy them. An adaptive control is a control method which is suggested to achieve a control object though plant characteristics change. In spite of the case that plant characteristics and the degree of variation are difficult to grasp, adaptive control can keep the characteristics of closed-loop system regularly. In this study GMVAC(generalized minimum variance adaptive control) combined with output error feedback is proposed in order to solve problems of non-minimum phase, vibration and overshoot in initial response of the plant. The control performance according to the variation of characteristics of the plant is evaluated by changing the supply pressure only.

  • The simplest method for measuring output currents of the three phase inverters is to measure them with three current sensors such as hall sensors. This method requires at least two current sensors, and these types of sensors are somewhat expensive. More economical method is measuring DC link current with a simple shunt resistor, then, reconstructing output current using the DC link current value and the switching status. However, in low speed region, the measurement becomes difficult and even impossible due to the requirement of minimum switching duration for A/D conversion. These problems can be overcome by limitation of switching duration. Limitation of switching, however, causes voltage and current distortion. Owing to compensation, distortion can be effectively suppressed. However these increase acoustic noise due to increment of current ripple. In this paper, a current measurement method is proposed, which can reduce minimum switching duration resulting in reduction of acoustic noise. The validity of proposed method is confirmed through experiment.

  • To enhance the symbol error rate (SER) performance of the two-way relay channels with physical layer network coding, this letter proposes a relay selection scheme, in which the relay with the maximal minimum distance between different points in its constellation among all relays is selected to assist two-way transmissions. We give the closed-form expression of minimum distance for binary phase-shift keying and quadrature phase-shift keying. Additionally, we design a low-complexity method for higher-order modulations based on look-up tables. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the SER performance for two-way relay networks.

  • The problem of designing a parallel feedforward compensator (PFC) is considered for a class of non-square linear systems such that the closed-loop system is strictly passive. If a given square system has (vector) relative degree one and is weakly minimum phase, the system can be rendered passive by a state feedback. However, when the system states are not always measurable and the given output is considered, passivation (i.e. rendering passive) of a non-minimum phase system or a system with high relative degree cannot be achieved by any other methodologies except by using a PFC. To passivate a non-square system we first determine a squaring gain matrix and design a PFC such that the composite system has relative degree one and is minimum phase. Then the system is rendered strictly passvie by a static output feedback law. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the PFC and the squaring gain matrix are given by the static output feedback formulation, which enables to utilize linear matrix inequality (LMI). As an application of the scheme, an alternative way of replacing the role of velocity measurements is provided for the PD-control law of a convey-crane system.

  • DC-link capacitors are one of the main components in two-level three-phase voltage source inverters (VSIs); they provide the pulsating input current and stabilize the vacillating DC-link voltage. Ideally, the larger the capacitance of DC-link capacitors, the better the DC-link voltage stabilizes. However, high capacitance increases the cost and decreases the power density of VSI systems. Therefore, the capacitance should be chosen carefully on the basis of the DC-link voltage ripple requirement. However, the DC-link voltage ripple is dependent on the pulse-width modulation (PWM) strategy. This study especially presents a DC-link voltage ripple analysis when the minimum loss discontinuous PWM strategy is applied. Furthermore, an equation for the selection of the minimum capacitance of DC-link capacitors is proposed. Experimental results with R-L loads are also provided to verify the effectiveness of the presented analysis.

  • In this paper, we introduce an algorithm for identification of the Advanced Mountain Methods parameter. It consists of two phases: Phase I and Phase II. In Phase I, a given data space is divided into subspaces based on the density of the given data. In Phase II, we obtain the AMMs parameter $\omega$ by selecting the minimum of variances of subspaces obtained in Phase I. Numerical examples are presented to show the validity of the proposed method.
