  • We introduce the notions of symbolic expansivity and symbolic shadowing for homeomorphisms on non-metrizable compact spaces which are generalizations of expansivity and shadowing, respectively, for metric spaces. The main result is to generalize the Smale's spectral decomposition theorem to symbolically expansive homeomorphisms with symbolic shadowing on non-metrizable compact Hausdorff totally disconnected spaces.

  • We define some terminologies on intuitionistic fuzzy metric space and prove that the topology generated by any intuitionistic fuzzy metric space is metrizable. Also, we show that if the intuitionistic fuzzy metric space is complete, then the generated topology is completely metrizable, a Baire space, and that an intuitionistic fuzzy metric space is precompact if and only if every sequence has a Cauchy subsequence.

  • Necessary conditions for the existence of common fixed points for noncommuting mappings satisfying generalized contractive conditions in the setup of certain metrizable topological vector spaces are obtained. As applications, related results on best approximation are derived. Our results extend, generalize and unify various known results in the literature.

  • In this paper, we define precompact set in intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces and prove that any subset of an intuitionistic fuzzy metric space is compact if and only if it is precompact and complete. Also we define topologically complete intuitionistic fuzzy metrizable spaces and prove that any $G\delta$ set in a complete intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces is a topologically complete intuitionistic fuzzy metrizable space and vice versa.

  • $C^*$-algebras which are closed sub-algebras of Banach algebras have been studied many years ago. In this note we extend the main definition of $C^*$-algebras to metrizable topological algebras.

  • A strong Banach-Mackey property is established for ${\kappa}$-spaces including all complete and some non-complete metric linear spaces and some non-metrizable locally convex spaces. As applications of this result, a strong uniform boundedness result and a new Banach-Steinhaus type theorem are obtained.

  • A class of topological algebras, which we call it a fundamental one, has already been introduced generalizing the famous Cohen factorization theorem to more general topological algebras. To prove the generalized versions of Cohen's theorem to locally multilplicatively convex algebras, and finally to fundamental topological algebras, the completness of the background spaces is one of the main conditions. The local convexity of the completion of a locally convex space is a well known fact and here we have a discussion on the completness of fundamental metrizable topological vector spaces.
