A Design of SCORM based on Learning Contents Interconnection Framework for U-Learning (U-러닝을 위한 SCORM기반의 학습콘텐츠 상호연결 프레임워크 설계)

  • Recently, the application of E-learning is changing the method that is able to process the learning to learner more efficiently and conveniently. For this purpose, the application research of U-learning that is able to support the learning using mobile device such as PDA, NetBook, Tablet PC and so on is actively processing. But lots of U-learning framework is only considering the change to fit the exist learning contents the mobile device without SCORM that is able to support to make and process the learning contents by regular forms. In this paper, we proposed the learning contents interconnection of U-learning framework considering SCORM. For this purpose, we have to construct the learning by learning object and asset within SCORM. And this method can support learning information that was reconstructed it by learning contents to fit the mobile device as used the mobile device meta-data.

  • This paper proposes a design of attenuator based on meta-material structure and its application. The unit-cell attenuator based on the lossy transmission line consists of the CRLH(Composite Right/Left Handed) transmission line and PIN diodes to be controlled internal loss according to diode bias voltage to change resistance of diode. Also, to reduce the initial losses, there is used parallel connection of PIN diodes. To increase attenuations, it is connected a cascade unit-cell of attenuator with periodic structure. The attenuation quantities of unit-cell are about 10dB and phase variations are 15o maximum at 1.5 GHz ~ 2.5 GHz. Also, its application is represented a vector modulator.

  • Due to the advent of presumer and digital production of moving picture, a lot of UCC has been generated by editing the previous moving pictures in various way. It causes a lot of problems on copyright, duplication, and content. In reorganizing the contents, it is necessary to increase productivity and reusability by managing production pipeline systematically through the standardization of moving picture content. For this purpose, we try to develop the moving picture content management system that can manage all kinds of information on the production pipeline, based on SCORM of e-learning by considering production, publication and re-editing. Using the meta-data of content object, user and producer can easily search and reuse the contents. Hence, they can choose the contents object according to their preference and reproduce their own creative UCC by reorganizing and packaging the selected objects. The management of copyright by the unit of scene would solve the problem of copyright. The sequencing technique of SCORM as an interactive storytelling method makes it possible to produce individual contents by user's preference.

  • Multi-agent systems have been developed for supporting intelligent collaboration of distributed and independent software entities and are be-ing widely used for various applications. For the collaboration among agents, conversation policies (or interaction protocols) mutually agreed by agents are used. In today's dynamic electronic market environment, there can be frequent changes in conversation policies induced by the changes in transaction methods in the market, and thus, the importance of ad hoc conversation policies is increasing. In existing agent platforms, they allow the use of only several standard or fixed conversation policies, which requires inevitable re implementation for ad hoc conversation policies and leads to inefficiency and intricacy. This paper designs an agent platform that supports ad hoc conversation policies and presents the prototype implementation. The suggested system includes an exchangeable and interpretable conversation policy model, a meta conversation procedure for exchanging new conversation policies, and a mechanism for performing actual transactions with exchanged conversation policies in run time in an adaptive way.

  • Recently, Service-oriented computing is the emerging computing paradigm. In this paradigm, we require the practical process model to support service oriented software development. The well-known development methods e.g., Unified Software Development Process, UML components have been proposed focused on component. So, these methods cannot support service-oriented computing concepts such as service definition, binding and composition concepts using Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). Also, a few proposed service-oriented approach, for example Service Oriented Unified process (SOUP), and Service Oriented Modeling and Architecture (SOMA) have appeared. However, these approaches do not explicitly represent detailed guideline, artifacts and approach. Therefore, in this paper we propose a practical and simple process model to support service oriented software development. Also, we explicitly represent process model and artifact using Software Process Engineering Metamodel (SPEM) which is proposed by OMG. By using our approach, it can enhance systematization and effectiveness for service-oriented software development.

  • Statistical database(SDB) are large database primarily collected for purpose of statistical analysis. Commerical database management systems have not been widely used for SDB because of the efficiency problem of storage and access of those systems for SDB. In this paper, we propose SDB management method to use a front-end system to a Relatianal Datebase Management System (RDBMS). We do the design of SM-F system (Stasticical database Management as Front-end system) as a front-end system to a RDBMS. In the system, we use GROS model specially proposed for SDB, and store and manage summary database and meta database to support statistical analysis and to provide users with statistical summary information.

An Use of the Patterns for an Efficient Example-Based Machine Translation (효율적인 예제 기반 기계번역을 위한 패턴의 사용)

  • An example-based machine translation approach is a new paradigm for resolving various problems caused by the rules of conventional rule-based machine translation. But, in pure example-based machine translation, it is very hard to find similar examples matched with input sentences by using reasonable parallel corpus. This problem causes large overheads in the process of sentence generation. This paper proposes new method of English-Korean transfer using both patterns and examples. The patterns are composed of sentence patterns and phrase patterns. Meta parts of the patterns make the example-based machine translation more practical by raising the probability to find similar examples. The use of patterns and examples can reduce the ambiguities in source language analysis and give us a high quality of MT. And experimental results with a test corpus are discussed.

Fabrication and Design of a Compact Narrow Band Pass Filter Using Slot Type Split Spiral Resonators (슬롯형 분할 나선형 공진기를 이용한 소형 협 대역통과 필터 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, a design method of the compact narrow band filter on the microstrip board is proposed using slot-type split spiral resonators. The design technique of this filter is based on cascading filter stages consisting of the combination of slot-type split spiral resonators, capacitive gaps between patches, and inductive grounded stubs with the meander configuration. By these means, it was possible to get the nearly symmetric frequency responses, adjustable bandwidths, compact sizes. And also excellent characteristic of the out-of-band rejection is achieved in contrast to the conventional filter design technique. The measured insertion loss shows good results about -3.47dB at the center frequency($f_0$=1GHz) and passband return loss is less than -12.62dB. The 3dB fractional bandwidth(FBW) is approximately 7.3%. The results of the frequency response measured on the fabricated band pass filter substrate show satisfactory agreement with the simulated frequency responses by the MWS(Microwave Studio) of CST in the region of interest.

Effect of a SiO2 Anti-reflection Layer on the Optoelectronic Properties of Germanium Metal-semiconductor-metal Photodetectors

  • The interdigitated germanium (Ge) meta-lsemiconductor-metal (MSM) photodetectors (PDs) with and without an $SiO_2$ anti-reflection (AR) layer was fabricated, and the effect of $SiO_2$ AR layer on their optoelectronic response properties were investigated in detail. The lowest reflectance of 15.6% at the wavelength of 1550 nm was obtained with a $SiO_2$ AR layer with a thickness of 260 nm, which was in a good agreement with theoretically calculated film thickness for minimizing the reflection of Ge surface. The Ge MSM PD with 260 nm-thick $SiO_2$ AR layer exhibited enhanced device performance with the maximum values of responsivity of 0.65 A/W, the quantum efficiency of 52.2%, and the detectivity of $2.49{\times}10^9cm\;Hz^{0.5}W^{-1}$ under the light illumination with a wavelength of 1550 nm. Moreover, time-dependent switching analysis of Ge MSM PD with 260 nm- thick $SiO_2$ AR layer showed highest on/off ratio with excellent stability and reproducibility. All this investigation implies that 260 nm-thick $SiO_2$ AR layer, which is effective in the reduction in the reflection of Ge surface, has a great potential for Ge based optoelectronic devices.

Literature Review on the Stress Management Programs throughout Life - span: By foreign research for 1993-1996 (생애주기에 따른 스트레스 관리 프로그램에 대한 고찰 -1993년부터 1996년까지의 외국문헌을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the kind, the frequency, and the type of Stress Management Program(SMPs) throughout life-span used foreign, recent research. The period of this study was from July 1 to Dec. 10, 1997. The data were collected through Medline using two concepts: stress management programs and life-span. The number of these research were 106 and thirty-one experimental researches that were tested the effectiveness of SMPs throughout life span were selected. The data were analysed by the kind, frequency, and life-span. The results were as follows: 1. The kind and frequency of SMP : The total number of the kind of SMP were twenty-two. The most used SMP was relaxation therapy, 22 out of 31. The second biofeedback was 10, the third, cognitive behavior program was 9, the fourth, nutrition and diet, and education were 7. The others were coping skill(4), cognitive therapy(4), breathing(4), imagery(3), autogenic training(3), sleep and rest(2), meditation(2), information(2), desensitization(2), hypnosis(2), behavior therapy(1), time management (1), visualization(I), yoga(I), diversion(1), and problem solving skill. 2. Throughout life-span: Most SMPs were applied to adolescents, young adults, and middle-adults. Other subjects could not be found under the schooler. 3. The type of SMPs : 28(90.3%) out of 31 research used combined-SMP : two-combined SMP, 5: three-combined SMP, twelve: four-combined SMP, seven: five-combined SMP. 4. Afterward, further study such as meta-analysis are needed in order to identify effective ness of the SMPs.
