  • This study was conducted to provide a foundation for housewife-consumer education programs appropriate in the information society. For this purpose, the authors reviewed existing literature, analysed consumer counseling cases, and conducted focus group interviews. The need for housewife-consumer education was illustrated, and desirable educational contents and methods were proposed. The existing housewife-consumer education programs did not work effectively because the contents were too general, and mostly structured with non-interactive one-way lectures. More effective programs should be designed to accomodate the educational purpose and contents which fitted with the specific needs of housewives as the representatives of the family consumer units. It should also take the family life cycle stages into consideration. The education programs would work better when they were oriented more toward actively participating, locally-based spontaneous small-groups.

  • The core of the change in the era of the 4th industrial revolution is the change in the base of 'digital technology'. These changes are incomparably large and are expected to have a more important impact on our lives than ever before. One of the major inflection points in the transition to the digital era is the education field, and IT technology has become an essential element in the educational field. Accordingly, this study examines domestic research trends related to the educational environment based on digital technology. Then, we would like to provide implications for the establishment of a digital-based educational environment that will change in the future. To this end, Semantic network analysis has been conducted to quantitatively structure text data obtained from studies related to digital technology in the field of mathematics education over the past 10 years, and the discussion will continue based on the results.

  • General education of university is facing the problem of failing to perform its original educational function compared to major education. The most urgent step in solving this problem lies in the evaluation of general education, which is currently designed and implemented by each university. Therefore, this study is aimed at developing the evaluation tool for university general education. This study determined the allotting of evaluation tools by verifying the relative importance among the evaluation index through the AHP analysis method, away form the simple list of the evaluation index, which is the limit of the precedent researches. The results of AHP showed that the organization of general education was the most important, while the latter was the implementation and evaluation of general education. The index determined to be the highest weighting of the total 22 indexes was "appropriateness of course organization" with "appropriateness of general education's purpose" being ranked second.

  • As for the current state of college taekwondo athletes' sport injury, times of occurrence and major causes showed differences in weight class and career, while situations of occurrence had differences in grade, weight class, and career. As for the measures to improve their coping ability, first aid showed differences in grade, while prevention of injury had differences in grade and career. Treatment methods turned out to have no differences. For college taekwondo athletes, sport injury occurred during exercise, mostly when they fell. In addition, lack of skill was the greatest major cause of sport injury. As for the sport injury coping ability, ice massage was used as first aid and self-massage was performed. For prevention of injury, sufficient fatigue recovery was considered to be the priority of prevention of injury.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the evaluation of transfer and elicit the implications regarding the improvement of educational curriculum, educational method, and educational environment. In order to do this, concepts of the transfer and related theories were explored. In terms of data collection method, the researchers conducted survey and semi-structured interview with 30 graduates who majored in Mechanical engineering by using the transfer tool developed by No and Park (2011). According to the result of the survey, a high average (4.27) between major subjects and one's current jobs was revealed. In addition to this, the participants' opportunity to apply what they learned from the college to transfer to their current job setting scored average of 4.10 and this score implies fairly high application of the transfer. In terms of the participants' extent to remember the liberal arts subjects, it scored average 2.90 which was fairly low. According to the survey about the curriculum, whether the major subjects as well as the liberal arts subjects were necessary for the transfer, the participants showed average score of 3.90. Concerning the item of whether the participants received lectures including practical problems, cases, or experiences in order to increase the transfer, the participants showed 2.63 which was fairly low. The followings are the results of the interview. First, regarding majors in educational curriculum, it was shown that educational curriculum were directly applied to the transfer. Especially, it was shown that involvement in the major-related activities and team projects played a positive role, thus, the involvement in such activities should be enforced. With respect to the improvements of the major, emphasizing the internship of the major-related subjects, courses centered on monitoring the latest programs and job recruiting trends, and information of professional engineers' tests were suggested for the improvements.

  • National university of education here in Korea have had a special purpose training competent primary school teacher hoping our nation and society so far. We can guess how students are educated and which direction focuses on education in college or university if we see the curriculum of the university. But the content of mathematics curriculum which is currently operated in ten university of education is a little different according to the major subject (pure mathematics, subject matters and so on)of the faculty or situation of the university. The purpose of this study is to get some suggestive points for the development of mathematics program and lecture assessment system which are appropriate training primary school teacher of future oriented as a special purpose university with looking around of lecture assessment system as well as comparing and looking around of the curriculum which are establishing at the auckland college of education there in the New Zealand and mathematics education department here in Daegu national university of education.

  • This paper was built for an activation of a merged education and development of non-subject, new type creative merged education program having effectivities. This program is disciplined a kind of flipped learning and camp program of 2 nights and 3 days. Given a problem which big enough and open-ended problem, multidisciplinary team that composed with engineering and design major students works the capstone design project. For ordinary engineering design process, 'how can we make?' was important. But in this program 'what can we make?' is more serious question. Our program was pursuing an creative idea that can induce innovation. Teaching or interference of professors was minimized and then students solve the problem theirselves by long time and liberal brainstorming. Last products is not real goods and only a proposal for manufacturing. Finally, the results are presented using ppt and board. After not only professors but also students of other teams can ask a question, resolve and comment on that proposal. The benefits of this program are that inner members of university take a whole process from planning and working to last evaluation. Besides economic benefit, they can secure an infrastructure for development of creative merged education program by running for several times and so can improve the program continuously. For an aspect of students, they can respond to recently highlighted creative experiences that required for recruitment.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the major trends in research studies in the Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration from 2010 to 2012. Methods: A review using analysis criteria developed by researchers was done of 132 studies published between 2010 and 2012. Research design, participants, research domain, and keywords were analyzed from the Journal of Korean Nursing Administration. Results: Job satisfaction, stress, organizational commitment, safety, turnover, nursing education, and performance were found to be major keywords. Of the research in the Journal, quantitative methods were used in 93.2% of studies. The major setting and participants were hospitals (58.2%) and nurses (65.5%) respectively. Prevalent analysis methods used were t-test, ANOVA, correlation, regression, chi-square, AMOS, and factor analysis. Major domains in the articles were: controlling, directing, staffing, nursing management education, and professionalism & legal principles. Conclusion: Through this study, the research trends in nursing administration were identified, but there is a need to include more of the following topics in future research: new concepts in nursing policy, enhanced deliberations of IRB, rationalization of the effects in sample size calculations, theoretical development of planning and organizing, and development of interventions for management support of the nursing management process.
