Repair Cost Estimation Model of the Building Exterior and Outdoor Facilities in Apartment Housing (공동주택 건물 외부공간 및 옥외시설의 공종별 수선비용 산정모델)

  • Purpose: Building figuration is imperative to perceive the its value, environmental clean status and form. Therefore, maintenance activities of the building exterior are required to keep the housing condition and value. Each household should pay the repair cost which is brought out in the future. For this repair cost, the estimation model would needed to forecast and provide the required cost. This study aimed at providing the estimation model of the repair cost, using the repair survey data between the 2011 and 2014 in Seoul. Method: For these, it took various estimation function of repair cost such as 1st function, inverse function and so on. These above functions would be applied into the building exterior and outdoor facilities which figure the building shape and characteristics. Result: Results of this study are shown ; First, among 11 estimation models, the power function has a better statistics and goodness-of-fit than any other models. Second, the estimation model with a variable of household has a pattern in upward to the right. On the contrary, the model with management area is little downward to the right. Both of them are depended on the estimated parameter of the power function and the parameter smaller than 1.

Proposal of Domestic Road Bridge Deck Deterioration Models and Forecast of Replacement Demand (국내 도로교량 바닥판 열화모델 제안 및 교체 수요 예측)

  • Bridge decks are members that rapidly deteriorated due to various environmental factors such as heavy vehicle and deicing salt, etc. As the lifespan of bridges built in Korea increases, it is expected that the demand for replacing the deteriorated bridge decks will increase. In other countries, Accelerated Bridge Construction technology using precast decks is already actively being used as a countermeasure for replacement demand of deteriorated bridge decks. In this study, bridge decks deterioration models are proposed by collecting and analysing the condition index data of domestic bridge decks. Also, the future replacement demands of deteriorated bridge decks in terms of replacement time and replacement scale are predicted.

Reliability-Based Assessment of Structural Safety of Regid-Frame-Typed Segmental PSC Box Girder Bridges Erected by the FCM during Construction (FCM에 의한 라멘식 세그멘탈 PSC박스거더 교량의 신뢰성에 기초한 시공간 구조안전도평가)

  • In this paper, a limit state model based on the analysis of structural behavior of segmental prestressed concrete box girder bridges and reliability-based safety assessment method are proposed for the bridges erected by free cantilever method. Strength limit state models for prestressed concrete box girder and rigid-frame type columns are developed for a structural safety assessment during construction. Based on the proposed limit state models, the reliability of the bridge is evaluated by using the Advanced First Order Second Moment method. The proposed model and method are applied to the Seo-Hae Grand Bridge built by FCM in order to verify its effectiveness in the safety assessment during construction of the kind of bridges. The sensitivity analyses of the main parameters are also performed in order to identify the important factors that need to be controlled for the safety of the bridges during construction.

  • In general. service life of the sea-shore concrete structures is largely influenced by the corrosion of reinforcing steel due to the chloride contamination, and the penetration of chloride ions into concrete is governed by concrete condition state as a micro-structure. In this study, characteristics of chloride diffusion in concrete are analyzed in accordance with the mixing properties and durability of concrete, by considering the facts that micro-structure of concrete varies with the mixing properties and can indirectly be analyzed by using the durability test. In order to predict the service life of existing concrete structures, chloride diffusion equation for the concrete structures under various service conditions and the major parameters used in that equation are formulated as the mathematical models. Based on the results of chloride diffusion analysis in accordance with the mixing properties and durability of concrete and mathematical models formulated in this study, a prediction system is developed to predict the corrosion initiation of reinforcing steel in the sea-shore concrete structures.

  • Practicing engineers and researchers need computational tools that estimate accurately the cyclic response of RC walls, and in particular, force and deformation capacities and their materials strains. So this paper describes a nonlinear truss modeling approach for reinforced concrete walls, or in general, for plane stress reinforced concrete elements subjected to cyclic reversals. Nonlinear vertical, horizontal, and diagonal truss elements are used to represent concrete and steel reinforcement. The wall having aspect ratio of 1.2 was chosen to be compared with the experimental results. Here, four types of main diagonal member models and three types of diagonal members models were applied to find out more accurate results of analysis.

A Study on Nonlinear Behavior of RC Structure using Different Crack Models (균열모델을 사용한 철근콘크리트 구조물의 비선형거동 해석에 관한 연구)

  • A analysis of crack behavior in RC member was performed by nonlinear finite element method. Two crack models were used in F.E.M.(finite element method): one was FCM (the fixed crack model) and the other was RCM (the rotated crack model). Based on parametric study, the ratio of shear steel, strength of concrete, and a/d(shear span/effective depth) were compared with test results of references. According to the test results, when the member behavior was affected by the shear or diagonal tension, RCM was reasonable. However, when the behavior was affected by the flexibility, FCM was more appropriate. In addition, each crack model behavior for the change of shear steel ratio, the increase of strain energy was constant in FCM, but it was different in RCM because of diagonal crack distribution and crack width. Since the strength of concrete is affected not only by shear but also by flexural strength, each crack model behavior yields similar results.

Life Cycle Cost Analysis Models for Bridge Structures using Artificial Intelligence Technologies (인공지능기술을 이용한 교량구조물의 생애주기비용분석 모델)

  • This study is intended to propose a systematic procedure for the development of the conditional assessment based on the safety of structures and the cost effective performance criteria for designing and upgrading of bridge structures. As a result, a set of cost function models for a life cycle cost analysis of bridge structures is proposed and thus the expected total life cycle costs (ETLCC) including initial (design, testing and construction) costs and direct/indirect damage costs considering repair and replacement costs, human losses and property damage costs, road user costs, and indirect regional economic losses costs. Also, the optimum safety indices are presented based on the expected total cost minimization function using only three parameters of the failure cost to the initial cost (${\tau}$), the extent of increased initial cost by improvement of safety (${\nu}$) and the order of an initial cost function (n). Through the enough numerical invetigations, we can positively conclude that the proposed optimum design procedure for bridge structures based on the ETLCC will lead to more rational, economical and safer design.

Modified Proposal for Optimal Location of Offset Outrigger System in High-rise Building (초고층 오프셋 아웃리거 구조의 최적 위치에 대한 수정제안)

  • This research aimed to propose the more proper equation than the leading and existing equations to predict the optimum location of offset outrigger. In this study, a 79 existing models of offset outrigger system were examined. And the key factors in the existing offset outrigger models were the stiffness of shear wall and offset outrigger system, the stiffness of exterior column connected in offset outrigger, the frame stiffness, the ratios of lateral stiffness of frame in shear wall-frame structures, and all that. This paper proposed the modified equation of predicting the optimal location of offset outrigger system. Additionally, the findings of this study provided the important structure engineering materials of the optimal offset outrigger position in tall building.

  • The main purpose of this study is to develop a system and data model extracted from the TO-BE process model of rental apartments to promote information exchange based on knowledge obtained through maintenance status analysis. Currently, it is difficult to find examples suggesting a data model through a process analysis of maintenance in rental apartments. Thus, this study intends to suggest a process as well as a data model to promote the development of a maintenance system for rental apartments by using building management knowledge, utilization of standardized tools, and existing FM (Facility Management) techniques to break through limitations in actual application. Ultimately, this study aims to show examples of document-oriented analysis and information technology for middle managers in charge of the maintenance of rental apartments, as well as work analysts developing the maintenance system. In further research beyond this study, complex issues on the maintenance of rental apartments, legal restrictions on customary practices of maintenance activities, effects of the scales of maintenance practices, requirements to perform maintenance activities, evaluation on the status of maintenance, life cycle cost and risks will be investigated.

  • Purpose: Currently, port facility informatization technology is focused on the planning and design phases, so the necessity of research and technology development on the port facility maintenance system based on life cycle-level information is emphasized. Method: Based on the maintenance history data of port facilities and facility operation information, from the perspective of the life cycle of port facilities, the system is configured to enable maintenance decisions for port facilities through analysis of aging patterns, performance degradation prediction models, and risk analysis and proposed a method of expressing information. Result: A function was developed to simultaneously display the SOC performance evaluation and the comprehensive performance evaluation developed in this study, so that mid-to long-term maintenance and reinforcement and facility expansion can be applied and comparatively judged. Conclusion: The integrated port performance system developed in this study induces and supports the risk minimization of port facility management by proactively promoting appropriate repair and reinforcement measures through historical and operational information on port facilities.
