The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of exogenous ghrelin on the behaviors, weight gain, and feed intakes of weanling piglets. A total of 25 pairs of Duroc$\times$Landrace$\times$Large White piglets weaned at 21 days of age were used in this experiment which finished on day 36. Each pair of healthy piglets from the same litter with similar body weight and of the same gender were selected and randomly arranged to ghrelin or control groups. Thus, there were 50 piglets (ghrelin 25; control 25) kept in 10 pens (ghrelin 5; control 5) and 5 piglets per pen. Initial body weight of the pigs did not differ between the control and ghrelin treatment ($7.43{\pm}0.17kg$; p = 0.81). Experimental pigs were infused with ghrelin ($1{\mu}g/d$ pig) via the marginal ear vein between 0750 and 0800 h at 22, 23, 24 days of age. Control pigs were infused with 0.9% saline. Feed consumption was measured on days 23, 24, 25, 29 and 36. Body weight was measured on days 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 36. Behavior data of individual piglets were collected by real-time observation from 0800-1500 h through remote supervisory equipment at 22, 23 and 24 days of age. The results indicated that ghrelin infusion could increase drinking (p<0.05) and lying behaviors (p<0.01) and decrease mounting behaviors (p<0.05). No significant influence of ghrelin was found on average daily weight gain (ADG) and average daily feed intake (ADFI) in this experiment (p>0.05). In conclusion, exogenous ghrelin by the method above and at the dosage of $1{\mu}g/d$ pig could cause a variety of behavioral effects, but not improve performance of weanling piglets.

Objective : A thorough understanding of the related venous structure is mandatory for successful removal of the petroclival meningiomas. This study was planned to investigate the guideline for safe ligation and incision of transverse or sigmoid sinuses and the importance of drainage pattern of vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$ in surgical removal of petroclival meningiomas. Patients and Methods : The authors reviewed the venogram of the consecutive 37 cases of petroclival meningiomas and retrospectively analyzed their surgical findings. The drainage pattern of confluence of Herophili was classified as Type A(confluent & equal on both sides), Type B(confluent & non-dominant on tumor side), Type C(confluent & dominant on tumor side) and Type D(unilateral drainage only) as these findings gave the information on safe ligation and resection of the sinus. Usefulness of intraoperative test clamping of sinus for safe ligation was also reviewed. The vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$ was analyzed with respect to its draining point and its collaterals to other superficial veins. Results : Contraindications of the sinus ligation and resection according to the drainage pattern at the confluence of Herophili were Type C(n=10, 27%)and Type D(n=4, 11%). Patients with Type A(n=12, 32%)and Type B(n=11, 30%) were tolerable to sinus ligation ipsilateral to tumor, if the test clamping proved to be safe. Identification of no brain swelling, after intraoperative test clamping of the sinus for more than 30 minutes performed in 7 out of 11 cases, was a reliable indicator of safe sinus ligation. The drainage pattern of the vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$, especially low-lying type, could predict the possibility of postoperative hemorrhage and infarction. Its drainage into tentorium or superior petrosal sinus, however, made the transtentorial approach impossible, leading to restricted operative field. Conclusion : For a successful removal of the petroclival meningiomas preoperative venogram should be examined carefully. The extent of exposure in a planned approach can be estimated by analyzing the variation of sinuses and the drainage pattern of vein of $Labb{\acute{e}}$.

In order to calculate the ecological carrying capacity of Donggung and Wolji, Gyeongju, the number and time for various activities of tourists were surveyed and then the injury tolerance on lawns was predicted with seven types of various activities. According to the injury tolerance in various activities for the suitable carrying capacity, the normal carrying capacity and the limited carrying capacity were explicitly determined in four lawns. According to the number and time for various activities, the injury tolerance of various activities was predicted in four lawns, and the highest average injury tolerance was 2.15 in walking, the lowest average injury tolerance was 0.05 in lying. The highest injury tolerance was 1.31 in lawn 4, and then the order was 0.97 in lawn 3, 0.91 in lawn1, and 0.70 in lawn 2. The ecological carrying capacity was predicted with a damaged area according to the injury tolerance of various activities. The suitable carrying capacity was done separately to 40 persons, 249 persons, 107 persons, 37 persons, the limited carrying capacity was 116, 713, 306, 107 respectively and the normal carrying capacity was 75, 463, 198, 69 in four lawns. When managed in Donggung and Wolji, Gyeongju, the number of tourists was under the limited carrying capacity, the conformation would grow better.

This study evaluated the dynamic balance and pain after 12 weeks aquatic exercise in old osteoarthritis patients. The dynamic balances were assessed using 2 different experimental conditions (Open Eye Condition; OEC, Closed Eye Condition; CEC). Twenty-two subjects were assigned one of the two experimental groups: arthritis group (ART, age=$65.25{\pm}5.9$, n=11), control group(CON, age=$64.50{\pm}7$, n=11). All subjects participated in the aquatic exercise program three times a week for 12 weeks. The dynamic balances (OEC (p<.001), CEC (p<.05)) capability were improved significantly in the ART group after 12 week aquatic exercise. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was decreased significantly [Factor 10(Soft chair, p<0.01), 11 (Lying down, p<0.05), 12(Handicap, p<0.05), 13 (Work interference, p<0.01)] in the ART group. In conclusion, aquatic exercise was effective in improving the overall health status and the capacity of dynamic balances and reducing the degree of pain in osteoarthritis patients.

This paper is on the modeling of two-dimensional groundwater flow, which is the first step of the development of Dynamic System Model for groundwater flow and pollutant transport in subsurface porous media. The particular features of the model are its versatility and flexibility to deal with as many real-world problems as possible. Points as well as distributed sources/sinks are included to represent recharges/pumping and rainfall infiltrations. All sources/sinks can be transient or steady state. Prescribed hydraulic head on the Dirichlet boundaries and fluxes on Neumann or Cauchy boundaries can be time-dependent or constant. Sources/sinks strength over each element and node, hydraulic head at each Dirichlet boundary node and flux at each boundary segment can vary independently of each other. Either completely confined or completely unconfined aquifers, or partially confined and partially unconfined aquifers can be dealt with effectively. Discretization of a compound region with very irregular curved boundaries is made easy by including both quadrilateral and triangular elements in the formulation. Large-field problems can be solved efficiently by including a pointwise iterative solution strategy as an optional alternative to the direct elimination solution methed for the matrix equation approximating the partial differential equation of groundwater flow. The model also includes transient flow through confining leaky aquifers lying above and/or below the aquifer of interest. The model is verified against three simple cases to which analytical solutions are available. The groundwater flow model shall be combined with the model of pollutant transport in subsurface porous media. Then the combined model, with the applications of the Eigenvalue technique and the Dynamic system theory, shall be improved to the Dynamic System Model which can simulate the real groundwater flow and the pollutant transport accurately and effectively for the analyses and predictions.

This study is concerned with examining the causes and symptoms of Woman various diseases and clearing up the situations of pulses and their treatment. Woman various diseases are said to be various kinds of diseases including the disorder of menstruation and genitals except pregnancy and postpartum diseases. The main contents are the penetration of heat into worm, the discharge of much blood, stomachache, and the postpartum cyst diseases. Among them, the nature of the diseases which often occur in the gynecology, such as the menstrual diseases and stomachache, were described comparatively in detail. The reason why heat penetrates into the worm is that the external germs come into it under its weakness. To treat it, heat should be removed and lumping blood should be sent out of body. Especially only after whether the disease is serious or not is examined, and just after the process of the disease is examined, the lumping blood can be eliminated. The ways to cure it by sweating a patient too much, getting him or her to vomit, or forcing him or her to be urinated too much, should be avoided. The disorder of menstruation, as the disease which most often occur among the diseases of gynecology, includes menstrual irregularity and blood discharge, and non-menstruation. Among them, non-menstruation and blood discharge are comparatively often discussed. When they are treated, lumping blood and cold energy should be cured well through getting rid of the lumping blood and making the blood vessel flow well. The difficult urination after childbirth, which comes from the weak urinary cist, makes symptoms such as the stuffy chest, the difficulty of lying down, and breathing with his or her back something. To urinate better, the ability of the urinary cist should be supplemented and improved. The principle of the treatment for Woman various diseases is to examine the situation of the pulse closely, then set up the way to treat it, and prescribe a patient. In this study, besides the treatment of Chinese herb medicine, the medicine for washing genitals and the medicine placed in the worm were used to cure Woman various diseases. This treatment is the beginning of the surgical treatment in the gynecology.

The spatio-temporal variations of nitrate concentrations in groundwater of Jeju Island were evaluated by an analysis of time series groundwater quality data (N = 21,568) that were collected from regional groundwater monitoring (number of wells = 4,835) for up to 20 years between 1993 and 2015. The median concentration of $NO_3-N$ is 2.5 mg/L, which is slightly higher than those reported from regional surveys in other countries. Nitrate concentrations of groundwater in wells tend to significantly vary according to different water usage (of the well), administrative districts, and topographic elevations: nitrate level is higher in low-lying agricultural and residential areas than those in high mountainous areas. The Mann-Kendall trend test and Sen's slope analysis show that nitrate concentration in mid-mountainous areas tends to increase, possibly due to the expansion of agricultural areas toward highland. On the other hand, nitrate concentrations in the Specially Designated Groundwater Quality Protection Zones show the temporally decreasing trend, which implies the efficiency of groundwater management actions in Jeju. Proper measures for sustainable groundwater quality management are suggested in this study.
Hand-signal is an effective communication means in the situation where voice cannot be used for expression especially for soldiers. Vision-based approaches using cameras as input devices are widely suggested in the literature. However, these approaches are not suitable for soldiers that have unseen visions in many cases. in addition, existing special-glove approaches utilize the information of fingers only. Thus, they are still lack for soldiers' hand-signal recognition that involves not only finger motions, but also additional information such as the rotation of a hand. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a new recognition system for six military hand-signal motions, i. e., 'ready', 'move', quick move', 'crawl', 'stop', and 'lying-down'. For this purpose, we have proposed a finger-recognition method and motion-recognition methods. The finger-recognition method discriminate how much each finger is bended, i. e., 'completely flattened', 'slightly flattened', 'slightly bended', and 'completely bended'. The motion-recognition algorithms are based on the characterization of each hand-signal motion in terms of the three axes. Through repetitive experiments, our system have shown 91.2% of correct recognition.

Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate the effect of dry cupping treatment applied to back-shu points on the autonomic nervous system. Methods : Two groups of sympathicotonia and normal with each 30 volunteers were set up for this experiment. The sympathicotonia group was selected by the criterion for sympathicotonia by the questionnaire composed of 11 items. After 10 minutes for environmental adaptation, the first HRV(heart rate variability) test was conducted, and then, dry cupping therapy was applied to back-shu points for 5 minutes to stimulate sympathetic ganglia lying along the spine. The second HRV test was carried out just after the cupping therapy under the same condition and then, the third test was repeated after two hours based on the first test time. Results : 1. In sympathicotonia group, SDNN(standard deviation of all normal R-R intervals), RMSSD(the square root of the mean of the sum of the squares of differences between adjacent normal R-R intervals), Ln(HF)(high frequency power), nmHF(normalized high frequency power) increased and mHR(mean heart rate), nmLF(normalized low frequency power) decreased significantly right after dry cupping therapy which means dry cupping affects on autonomic nervous system. The effect lasts in these items of nmLF, Ln(HF), nmHF, rLHF(rate ratio of LF/HF). 2. In normal group, SDNN, RMSSD increased and mHR decreased significantly right after dry cupping therapy, too. But, Ln(LF)(low frequency power), nmLF, rLHF unexpectedly increased and nmLF, rLHF stay increased up to 2 hours. Conclusions : The results suggest that the dry cupping therapy has effect on the autonomic nervous system. It is effective to stabilize hyper-sympathetic tone of people diagnosed as Sympathicotonia and activate parasympathetic tone.
