  • The process of spatial big data, such as social media, is being paid more attention in the field of spatial information in recent years. This study, as an example of spatial big data analysis, analyzed the spatial and temporal distribution of Tweet data based on the location and time information. In addition, the characteristics of its spatial pattern by times were identified. Tweet data in Busan city are collected, processed, and analyzed to identify the characteristics of the temporal and spatial pattern. Then, the results of Tweet data analysis were compared with the characteristics of the land type. This study found that spatial pattern of tweeting in the city was associated with given time periods such as daytime and nighttime in both weekdays and weekends. The spatial distribution patterns of individual time periods were compared with the characteristics of the land for the spatially concentrated area. The results of this study showed that tweeted data would be related to different spatial distribution depending on the time, which potentially reflects the daily pattern and characteristics of the land type of urban area to some extent. This study presented the possible incorporation of social media data, e. g. Tweet data, into the field of spatial information. It is expected that there will be more advantage to use a variety of social media data in areas such as land planning and urban planning.

  • Advances in location-aware and IoT (Internet of Things) technology increase the rapid generation of massive movement data. Knowledge discovery from massive movement data helps us to understand the urban flow and traffic management. This paper proposes a method to analyze frequent origin-destination sequence patterns from irregular spatiotemporal taxi pick-up locations. The proposed method starts by conducting cluster analysis and then run a frequent sequence pattern analysis based on identified clusters as a base unit. The experimental data is Seoul taxi trajectory data between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. during one week. The experimental results present that significant frequent sequence patterns occur within Gangnam. The significant frequent sequence patterns of different regions are identified between Gangnam and Seoul City Hall area. Further, this study uses administrative boundaries as a base unit. The results based on administrative boundaries fails to detect the frequent sequence patterns between different regions. The proposed method can be applied to decrease not only taxis' empty-loaded rate, but also improve urban flow management.

  • This study was performed to compare the stress distribution pattern in the crestal cortical bone and cancellous bone using 3-dimensional finite element stress analysis when 2 different Young's modulus(high modulus, model 1; low modulus, model 2) of cancellous bone was assumed. For the analysis, a finite element model was designed to have two square-threaded implants fused together and located at first and second molar area. Stress distribution was observed when vertical load of 200N was applied at several points on the occlusal surfaces of the implants, including central fossa, points 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm and 3.5mm buccally away from central fossa. The results were as follows; 1. In both model, the maximum Von-Mises stress in the crestal cortical bone was greater when the load was applied at the central point, points 1.5mm and 2mm buccally away from central fossa than other cases. 2. In the cortical bone around first and second molar, model 2 showed greater Von-Mises stress than model 1. It is concluded that when the occlusal contact is afforded, the distribution of stress varies depending on the density of cancellous bone and the location of loading. More favorable stress distribution is expected when the contact load is applied within the diameter of fixtures.

  • A computational fluid analysis was performed on an LOx line system of a liquid rocket engine. The model was created with 3D CAD and imbedded to the 3D CFD program. Before the full scale analysis on the system was carried out, each components with simplified models was analyzed to save time and cost. As a result, the inlet pressure of the gas generator should be compensated with a certain device unless the inlet pressure of the line system is sufficiently high. The flow pattern of the exit of the system was dependant upon the location of the orifice as well as the size. As a whole the line system analyzed met the requirements, and will be tested and confirmed after being manufactured.

  • In this study, the sensitivity analysis of bed changes due to the various sediment transport equations have been conducted for 80 km reach of the Lower Nakdong River using the HEC-6 which is one dimensional numerical model. The bed elevation changes according to the different sediment transport formulas were compared and analyzed quantitatively. As a result of the numerical simulation, the final bed elevation calculated by Engelund and Hansen(1967), Ackers and White(1973), and Yang(1979) formulas was similar to one another in configuration. The bed change simulated by Engelund and Hansen(1967) were greatest among them, for example, 5.5 m deposition and 2.9 m erosion for 100 years. Also, in the case of Toffaleti (1969) equation, the maximum bed deposition of 8.04 m after 100 years was induced at the 73 km location upstream of the Nakdong River Estuary Barrage. Meyer-Peter-M$\ddot{u}$ller(1948) and Wilcock(2001) formulas produced the deposition only at the upstream end and there was little bed change in the downstream area. The unreal bed configuration of continuously up and down pattern was simulated by Laursen(1958) transport equation.

  • This research is a study to develop basic block patterns for adult males. The subjects were 20 men in their 20s, and we tested 6 basic bodice blocks that are used in academia and industry. First, a comparative analysis of the patterns of the bodice blocks was conducted and the test garments were made, and then their appearances were evaluated during wearing tests. Based on the test results, we intended to select a bodice block that is a good fit when it is put on and to use it as basic data in order to design a man's bodice block for the future. The research results are as follows: First, a comparison of the 6 bodice block drafts showed that they used differently calculated ease allowances at chest circumference and width, waist circumference, shoulder length, etc. for which the upper chest circumference is used as a reference. Second, when the appearances of the test garments were tested, the average scores were high in the order of B> H> P> K> M> L. Pattern B was superior in the areas of the neck circumference and shape, ease allowance at the back of the neck, circumference of the front of the neck, location of side width, ease allowance at sides, armhole width and depth. But in the other test items, there were cases where other patterns were superior.
