  • A recursive on-line algorithm for orthogonal ARMA identification is proposed for linear MIMO systems with unknown parameters time delay and order. This algorithm is based on the Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization of basis functions, and extended to a recursiveform by using new functions of two dimensional autocorrelations and crosscorrelations of inputs and outputs. This proposed algorithm can also cope with slowly time-varying or order-varying systems. Various simulations reveal the performance of the algorithm.

  • A simple method is proposed to detect the number of change points with jump discontinuities in nonparamteric regression functions. The proposed estimators are based on a local linear regression fit by the comparison of left and right one-side kernel smoother. Also, the proposed methodology is suggested as the test statistic for detecting of change points and the direction of jump discontinuities.

  • Let f(z) be an entire function. Then the order $\rho(f)$ of f is defined by $$ \rho(f) = \overline{lim}_r\to\infty \frac{log r}{log^+ T(r,f)} = \overline{lim}_r\to\infty \frac{log r}{log^+ log^+ M(r,f)}, $$ where T(r,f) is the Nevanlinna characteristic of f (see [4]), $M(r,f) = max_{$\mid$z$\mid$=r} $\mid$f(z)$\mid$$ and $log^+ t = max(log t, 0)$.

  • A new interpolation function, named modified raised-cosine interpolation, is proposed. This function is derived from the linear combination of weighted triangular and raised-cosine functions to reduce the effect of side lobes which incur the interpolation error. Interpolation error reduces significantly for higher-order convolutional interpolation functions of linear operators, but at the expense of resolution error due to the attenuation of main lobe. However, the proposed interpolation function enables us to reduce the side lobes as well as to preserve the main lobe. To prove practicality, this function is applied in image reconstruction and enlargement.

  • This study suggests the use of fuzzy model in the semiconductor devices modeling as a black box approach. When membership functions of fuzzy sets used in a fuzzy model are simple piecewise-linear functions, the fuzzy model can be reresented in a simple equation. To show that the fuzzy model can be very realistic and simple when used in semiconductor devices modeling, we construct fuzzy models for bipolar transistor, MOSFET and GaAs FET, and compare those with canonical piecewise-linear models.

  • In this paper, we use the use the linear operator ʒxτ,σ(u, v, y)𝔣(z) and the concept of the subordination to analyse the general class of all analytic univalent functions. Our main results are implication properties between the classes of such functions and the application of these properties to special cases.

  • This paper deals with estimable functions of parameters of less than full rank linear model. In general, the parameters of an overspecified model are not uniquely determined by least squares solutions. It discusses how to formulate linear estimable functions as functions of parameters in the model and shows how to use projection matrices to check out whether a parameter or function of the pamameters is estimable. It also presents a method to form a basis set of estimable functions using linearly independent characteristic vectors generating the row space of the model matrix.
