Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to describe the essence and the meaning of nurses' experiences of end-of-life care (EOLC) for elderly patients in the long-term care hospitals (LTCHs). Methods: Data were gathered from 12 nurses who had been working at LTCHs in Korea through one-on-one interviews and the data were analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Results: The emergent 5 themes were 'Doing the best for protecting patients' life', 'Providing a comfortable dying process for patients', 'Supporting a family's keeping on patient's death', 'Reflecting on life' and 'Desiring for the establishment of a humanity end-of-life care environment'. The aim of this study was to identify the factors that sustain the work of women activists with children by examining their work and life experiences and demands. This study focused on community-based institutions whose purpose was to spread gender equality and address gender issues. To achieve the purpose of this study, focus group interviews were conducted with 10 women activists working for women's organizations and grassroots women's organizations. By analyzing their interview responses, five topics were derived: the main activities and statuses of the women's organizations and grassroots women's organizations, the motivations for activities, the positive activity experiences that led to life as an activist, the factors that made it difficult to work, and the social support necessary to continue as an activist. The study results show that the work and life experiences and demands of civil society women activists provide the basis for understanding the lives of and scope of social support for women activists compared with women with jobs protected and supported by formal institutions. However, further analysis and discussion are required to identify the needs of more diverse women activists through continuous research in the future.

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the baby boomers' perception of and preparation for their successful aging. Seven women and three men were interviewed with the use of an unstructured questionnaire. Their perceptions of their likelihood of future successful aging were not negative, and were influenced by a range of considerations that included health, leisure, finance, volunteer services, family relationships, and elderly life without children's supports. They tried to prepare several kinds of sports, leisure activities, and volunteer services for their elderly life. However, their reasons for preparing these activities varied, and the background of their differences consisted of the family background, personal values, and experiences. Moreover, men and women responded differently to their personal experiences as they related to their elderly life. Women were likely to match their family relationship with their perception and preparation for successful aging, and men were not.

Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting a hypothetical model of testing for general hospital nurses' job embeddedness. Methods: Data were collected from August 20 to September 19, 2021, by a self-administered questionnaire answered by 428 general hospital nurses. The data were analyzed by SPSS and AMOS. Results: Nine of the hypothetical model's 12 hypotheses were supported by the data collected from all participants. The test results indicate that ego resilience, subjective career success, and recovery experience from job stress directly affect participants' job embeddedness. Nurses' work environments were reported to affect ego resilience and subjective career success, while at the same time ego resilience and subjective career success affected the participants' job embeddedness. Work-life balance was found to affect ego resilience and ego resilience affected subjective career success, and at the same time subjective career success directly affected participants' recovery experiences from job stress and job embeddedness. Of these variables, subjective career success had the strongest direct effect on participants' job embeddedness. Work-life balance affected the participants' recovery experiences from job stress, and their recovery experiences from job stress were found to directly affect job embeddedness. Conclusion: These results suggest that different management strategies to enhance hospital nurses' job embeddedness should address nurses' ego resilience, subjective career success, and recovery experiences from job stress.

One narrater named "K" had gone through various housing experiences since her birth in 1933 at a traditional Korean housing, and she moved to a traditional rural community. Another narrater called "S" was born in housing built during the Japanese colonization, gained wealth through the housing boom of the industrialization, and has lived in a suburban condominium. "G" spent her entire life in an urban area, had never owned a house, and lived in a house with poor quality. The other narrater named "L" had lived in a single-family home with a large yard since her childhood, and she has resided in multi-family housing by herself after having a lot of experiences of building houses. This study explored the life of social workers by applying the photo Voice research method. Participants selected three themes through group discussions and shared the daily life of a social worker through photos they prepared in relation to each topic. Through this process, they shared their own experiences on 'difficulties related to work activities,' 'factors that create positive aspects that motivate social workers,' and 'factors that create negative aspects that demotivate social workers.' Using these three themes and 11 sub-themes, the participants shared their own experiences as social workers in the workplace. In order to improve the quality of life of social workers, we proposed amendments to related laws such as the Labor Standards Act, and also proposed legislative and institutional measures such as the enactment of policies related to personal safety threats.
Purpose: This study aimed to develop and test a structural model for chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment of breast cancer patients based on a literature review and Hess and Insel's chemotherapy-related cognitive change model. Methods: The Participants consisted of 250 patients who were ${\geq}19$ years of age. The assessment tools included the Menopause Rating Scale, Symptom Experience Scale, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Everyday Cognition, and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast Cancer. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. Results: The modified model was a good fit for the data. The model fit indices were ${\chi}^2=423.18$ (p<.001), ${\chi}^2/df=3.38$, CFI=.91, NFI=.91, TLI=.89, SRMR=.05, RMSEA=.09, and AIC=515.18. Chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment was directly influenced by menopausal symptoms (${\beta}=.38$, p=.002), depression and anxiety (${\beta}=.25$, p=.002), and symptom experiences (${\beta}=.19$, p=.012). These predictors explained 47.7% of the variance in chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment. Depression and anxiety mediated the relations among menopausal symptoms, symptom experiences, and with chemotherapy related cognitive impairment. Depression and anxiety (${\beta}=-.51$, p=.001), symptom experiences (${\beta}=-.27$, p=.001), menopausal symptoms (${\beta}=-.22$, p=.008), and chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment (${\beta}=-.15$, p=.024) had direct effects on the quality of life and these variables explained 91.3%. Conclusion: These results suggest that chemotherapy-related toxicity is highly associated with cognitive decline and quality of life in women with breast cancer. Depression and anxiety increased vulnerability to cognitive impairment after chemotherapy. Nursing intervention is needed to relieve chemotherapy-related toxicity and psychological factor as well as cognitive decline for quality of life in patients undergoing chemotherapy.
