NORMAL EDGE-TRANSITIVE CIRCULANT GRAPHS

  • A Cayley graph of a finite group G is called normal edge-transitive if its automorphism group has a subgroup which both normalized G and acts transitively on edges. In this paper, we consider Cayley graphs of finite cyclic groups, namely, finite circulant graphs. We characterize the normal edge-transitive circulant graphs and determine the normal edge-transitive circulant graphs of prime power order in terms of lexicographic products.

그레이 코드화된 안테나 순서의 차등 공간 변조 (Differential Spatial Modulation with Gray Coded Antenna)

  • 본 논문은 차등공간변조(DSM)를 위한 안테나 인덱스 순열들의 그레이 코드 오더를 제안한다. 실행하기 위해서 계산 복잡도(Computational complexity)와 사전 편찬식 오더를 사용하는 기존 DSM 이 둘의 유사성을 도출한 Trotter-Johnson의 유명한 Ranking & Unranking 알고리즘들을 차용했다. 사전 편찬식 오더를 넘어선 그레이코드로 얻어낸 신호 대비 잡음비는 시뮬레이션들을 통해 성능이 분석되었다. 그레이 코딩 프레임워크를 기초로, 그레이 코드 오더에 속한 완전 순열들의 예상되지 않는 위치들에서 직접적으로 선택된 액티브 안테나 지수들의 순열들이 있는 인터섹티드 그레이 코드(I-code) 오더로 명칭된 다양성-강화 기법를 제안한다. 분석과 시뮬레이션들에서, I-Gray 코드 오더가 그레이 코드 오더에 대한 추가적인 다이버시티 차수를 만들어 내 성능이 우수했다.

다중 평가지표에 기반한 도로용량 증대 소요예산 추정 (Budget Estimation Problem for Capacity Enhancement based on Various Performance Criteria)

  • 도로용량 증대를 위한 소요예산 추정문제는 관련주체인 이용자와 공급자의 입장을 모두 반영할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 총통행시간, 형평성, 환경비용을 평가지표로 설정하고, 3가지 평가지표에 대한 관련주체의 요구사항이 만족되는 대안 중 소요예산을 최소화하는 최적 도로용량 증대 대안을 선정하는 문제를 모형화하였다. 일반적으로 도로용량 증대를 위한 소요예산 추정문제는 Network Design Problem(NDP)로 다루어지며, 이용자와 공급자의 다른 입장을 고려하기 위해 Bi-level 최적화문제로 모형화된다. 본 연구에서는 장래 교통수요의 불확실성을 반영하기 위해 확률모형(Stochastic model)을 적용하고, 평가지표별 신뢰도를 차별화하기 위해 Chance-constrained model(CCM)를 적용하였으며, 3가지 평가지표의 제약식을 만족하면서 소요예산을 최소화하는 목적함수를 만족하는 최적대안을 선정하기 위해 렉시코그라픽(Lexicographic) 최적화문제로 접근하였다. 예제 네트워크를 통하여 분석한 결과, 평가지표별 신뢰도 및 교통수요 변화율이 클수록 더욱 많은 소요예산이 요구되며, 평가지표별 신뢰도가 클수록 장래 교통수요의 변화에 더욱 탄력적으로 대응할 수 있는 대안이 선정되었다. 제안된 모델은 다양한 관련주체의 입장을 모두 고려한 최적 도로용량 증대 대안과 소요예산을 선정함과 동시에, 도로용량 증대량의 변화에 따른 평가지표간 상쇄관계(Tradeoff)와 도로 네트워크 개선을 위한 예산 배분의 포트폴리오를 정책결정자에게 제공 가능하다.

  • This paper considers the problem of testing a one-sided hypothesis under the generalized sampling plan which is defined by a sequence of independent Bernoulli trials. A certain lexicographic order is defined for the boundary points of the sampling plan. It is shown that the family of probability mass function defined on the boundary points has monotone likelihood ratio, and that the test function is uniformly most powerful.

  • We consider the simple antisymmetrized algebra $N(e^{A_P},n,t)_1^-$. The simple non-associative algebra and its simple subalgebras are defined in the papers [1], [3], [4], [5], [6], [8], [13]. Some authors found all the derivations of an associative algebra, a Lie algebra, and a non-associative algebra in their papers [2], [3], [5], [7], [9], [10], [13], [15], [16]. We find all the derivations of the Lie subalgebra $N(e^{{\pm}x_1x_2x_3},0,3)_{[1]}{^-}$ of $N(e^{A_p},n,t)_k{^-}$ in this paper.

정약용의 구고원류 (Gugo Wonlyu of Jeong Yag-yong)

  • This paper is an outgrowth of a study on recent papers and presentations of Hong Sung Sa, Hong Young Hee and/or Lee Seung On on Gugo Wonlyu which is believed to be written by the famous Joseon scholar Jeong Yag-yong. Most of what is discussed here is already explained in these papers and presentations but due to brevity of the papers it is not understood by most of us. Here we present them in more explicit and mathematical ways which, we hope, will make them more accessible to those who have little background in history of classical Joseon mathematics. We also explain them using elementary projective geometry which allow us to visualize Pythagorean polynomials geometrically.

정약용(丁若鏞)의 산서(算書) 구고원류(勾股源流)의 수학적(數學的) 구조(構造) (Mathematical Structures of Jeong Yag-yong's Gugo Wonlyu)

  • Since Jiuzhang Suanshu, the main tools in the theory of right triangles, known as Gougushu in East Asia were algebraic identities about three sides of a right triangle derived from the Pythagorean theorem. Using tianyuanshu up to siyuanshu, Song-Yuan mathematicians could skip over those identities in the theory. Chinese Mathematics in the 17-18th centuries were mainly concerned with the identities along with the western geometrical proofs. Jeong Yag-yong (1762-1836), a well known Joseon scholar and writer of the school of Silhak, noticed that those identities can be derived through algebra and then wrote Gugo Wonlyu (勾股源流) in the early 19th century. We show that Jeong reveals the algebraic structure of polynomials with the three indeterminates in the book along with their order structure. Although the title refers to right triangles, it is the first pure algebra book in Joseon mathematics, if not in East Asia.

교통수단 선택행태 분석을 위한 태도모형의 적용 및 평가 (Application and Evaluation of An Attitudinal Model for Travel Mode Choice Behavior Analysis)

  • In order to analyze travel mode choice behavior, behavioral models including logit model, based on revealed preference theory, have been using easily measurable variables such as individual socioeconomic characteristics and physical attributes of travel modes. But some recent attitudinal models of travel choice behavior have implied that the negligence of individual psychological variables and individual choice constraints in travel mode choice might preclude better prediction of individual travel mode choice behavior. In this context, this study was attempted to reconstruct an attitudinal model(AM), especially focused on the decision rules in travel mode choice decision making process, consistent with the conceptual framework relating individual attitude and choice constraints to choice behavior. And to evaluate the strengths of the AM to other comparative models(logit, linear-additive, conjunctive, lexicographic model) in predicting travel mode choice bebavior, an empirical study of the mode choice in work-trip to CBD in Seoul was performed. According to the results the percent of correct prediction(PCP) derived from the AM was higher than those derived from comparative models by at least 7 to 20% in predicting travel mode choice. But each model produced a different prediction accuracy depending on market segmentation by travel modal users, individual socioeconomic characteristics, transportation system characteristics, and satisfaction levels. The finding that different groups divided by a certain criterion employ different decision rules supports the necessity of developing a choice model such as the AM combining compensatory and noncompensatory decision rules, and suggests that a proposed transportation system management plan or policy may have different effects on each group.
